With Karai and Vizioso crumbling his empire, he is against time (another aspect I appreciate from great villains), and rushes to mutation. By Requiem (the best episode in the series), he loves nobody, hates mutants and himself, loves power, yet still holds a twisted sense of honor, regarding his destiny and the Foot, represented by the Kuro Kabuto, which he made sure to stick on his head as he mutated. The whole point was that he let his anger, hatred, and jealousy blind him beyond reason. He blamed others for his problems rather then taking responsibility for his actions.
That's why it's called an obsession, because it's completely irrational. But it's pretty realistic, which is one reason why it works so well, cuz there's actually a lot of humans just like this irl.
All Shredders are evil but the 2012 Shredder always struck me as particuarly assholish. And then he kills her, and goes on this eternal whinge-fest about how it's all Splinter's fault. Yes, he is the one who kills the woman he claimed to love, and I just can't bring myself to feel bad for that kind of character. the writers probably did that because nickelodeon wanted another season and writers didnt know what they should for a 5th season since they already ended the show

@@TheTurtleNexus no hate, but I don’t like Rise
@@ashleywimmers6481I used to be the same way
@@Lloydproductions4171 what do you mean
I think k this version of shredder would be perfect for live action
To think that this Shredder has the same VA as Lobo the Main Man!
The 2012 Shredder is my favorite and Kevin Michael Richardson did fabulous on voicing the Shredder the TMNT 2012 is my favorite
One detail worth noting is Shredder calls Splinter by his real name, showing that he still sees him as his brother
Shredder's obsession wasn't justified at all in this show.
That’s the point of his character. His motives aren’t justified at all to where he gets called out for it by multiple characters mostly by splinter.
All Shredders are evil but the 2012 Shredder always struck me as particuarly assholish. He had this weird grudge over his girlfriend and what the series could have done with saying is, "F you Shred-head, she can date anybody she likes and if it isn't you? Phooey." And then he kills her, and goes on this eternal whinge-fest about how it's all Splinter's fault.
Yes, he is the one who kills the woman he claimed to love, and I just can't bring myself to feel bad for that kind of character.
But if you're only saying 'one of them' then you're forgetting Mirage Shredder, who has pretty much the same motives of.
Dammnit where's the bear when you need him
This is a joke and reference to the drak laser another character shredder's voice actor voices
This Shredder was truly disgusting. What he did to Karai was nothing short of foul.
hope we get a video on the Kranng race, creatures from dimension x and their vehicles from the 2012 series
There is a video about the Utroms in this channel that covers the Kraang. I will release an updated version at some point next year.
@@TheTurtleNexus i know but i mean like one focusing mainly on the 2012 version because i feel like they have such an expanded lore about their world, wildlife and even culture
2012 Shredder or IDW Shredder, which is better?
I will be very against the current. But I find the 2012 Shredder to be the worst so far. In the end he did everything he did only because Tang Shen chose Splinter and not him. Then ok there was the story that he was "adopted" by the Amatos. But the flashback doesn't suggest he was ever treated badly. His seems like the "second son complex" like Scar and Loki. But even so he still looks like an idiot.
To think he wanted to destroy/betray the world to avenge his clan, Karai, his father and Shen.
Shredder 2012 my favourite 🔥❤❤
This all happened because Splinter didn’t respect the bro code
This happened because shredder couldn’t accept that Shen loved splinter more and they already had a family was married.
I like how this Shredder is deformed if anything this is my favorite version of him
He’s literally me
Now that you mention it. Me too
It all began in the 1990s as the metal freak nut mastermind eager to get revenge he head to NYC to target Splinter and his sons in 2017 he became SuperShredder and planned to kill the Hamato clan grusomly by killing their Sensei at the Wolf hotel until Leo finished him
However of his jealousy his corruption was hatred and responsible for everything that transpired and lied to karai about it
One of the best Shredders but he has one of the worst motives
how? his motive makes perfect sense, in his mind he was lied to his entire life and Splinter took everything from him
@@shanecorcoran2542 Splinter didn't take anything except Tang Shen. The hamato clan took saki in as a baby, what did splinter have to do with that? Also, being mad because the girl you love chose another guy is a petty motive
He want revenge on the clan
@@benny3011 He barley knew anything about the foot clan and the hamato clan raised him. That's a pretty trash motive
No he want revenge bc the hamato Clan didn't say the truth so it's not trash@@estle9636
The moment you realize All this cause Hamato broke the bro code.
Best Shredder of all time
Lore of The Obsessive Journey of the 2012 Shredder - TMNT 2012 momentum 100
Truck-kun vs GarbageTruck-san
Only in theatera
can we all talk about how modern Japan still had ninja clans ? Like, splinter and saki ain't even a 100 years old
That's a very good question that I have no answer for. Especially because I assume the fire happened in the 90s. And that village didn't seem to match the times (not that there aren't places that look like that in Japan).
in one episode didnt splinter mention how he couldnt go to new york because he had to lead what is left of his clan
@@Madboygamer.yeah cause he focused on the clan and also his dad grew sick and he wanted to watch after him.
I think what they meant by "clans" was basically crime syndicates
What about the demon shredder of 2018 RISE
That's the next Shredder I will cover.
Rise sucks
Omg man Crazy
I’m not going to lie. I was not a big fan of the Zombie Shredder arc. I think it would have cooler if they had kept Shredder dead and then finished ended the foot clan and episode later or that same episode before they got to Shredder.
the writers probably did that because nickelodeon wanted another season and writers didnt know what they should for a 5th season since they already ended the show
I get that. I just think that the series should have either ended with Shredder getting killed or Tiger Claw and the rest of the henchmen taking over instead of Kavaxas and Zombie Shredder.
@@Red.SkullYT yeah they should have done what the 2003 show should have done when shredder was out of the picture
@@Madboygamer. Exactly

You got a part of this analysis wrong. Shredder never dated Tang Shen. You messed up there
I just went by what Tang Shen said. What's your source?
@@TheTurtleNexus when did she say that though? Give me the link where she states that her and Saki use to date. I literally just watched the original video and not one time did she or Splitter mention anything about Saki (Shredder) and Tang Shen ever dating
