I dunno... undercooked, mediocre and just generally unworthy of following in AtLA's footsteps.

Yes and no, firstborns, especially firstborn sons are important for the line of succession. Ozai, despite not liking Zuko is supposed to value him more than Azula and lucky Ozai his father doesn't seem to know about Zuko's real(?) parentage or Ozai's utter resentment.
I mean it is possible that Azulon didn't even know that Ozai didn't like Zuko. He could've just assumed that since Zuko is his first born and male, Ozai would prefer him. And even if he did ask him to kill his favorite child, he could've still killed Zuko, saying that he was his favorite. I dont know, that's what I thought anyways.

It could be because maybe he didn't have anything with her scent on it. I dont think Ozai would keep her stuff in the palace, he probably threw them away. And even if Zuko managed to keep some stuff, it is probable that the scent had disappeared since it has been so many years.

this is a cool story about ursa and her kids with many very well placed easter eggs and explanations, but more than that, it is a great background story for ozai. we never actually saw that much of him until the 3rd season and more screentime was devoted to other villains (general jao, azula, the dai li). this really shows how ruthless he truly was. he killed his own father and banished his wife to claim the throne. that's some info I wish we had gotten in the tv show.
Just to let you know, Jao's name is actually spelt Zhao. It sounds exactly the same when spoken so it makes total sense that your make that mistake but I just figured I'd let you know.

It's funny cuz these comics have to be at least a decade old now so they technically did it along time ago. I don't like how Korra portrayed the spirit world tbh, I like the show but yeah I think the last Airbender did a MUCH MUCH better job with how it dealt with spirits and the spirit world. It's just so much more mysterious and interesting in AtLA, the mystique is totally lost in Korra and it becomes just a tired plot point that could be easily replaced
I think avatar would be much better served as a Zelda type game but with much more real time RPG/strategy elements. I do feel like there's been an overabundance of open world RPGs lately - they're incredible if it's done right but there's been a lot of them lately that aren't the best, but I really think avatar was meant to be made to be an open world real time RPG. It'd be so fitting, so you could wander the world and solve problems if you want to - similarly to how the TV shows episodic format plays out in between story episodes, all while unravelling the story in between wandering around when you decide to continue it. Edit: just imagine this too: the option of either split screen or online play where you can form a party similar to the Gaang or Team Avatar, you get to play with multiple friends or people online with each person getting to choose between Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Zuko, or Suki - how dope would it be to play an Avatar the Last Airbender open world RPG with multiple friends or family???? I think most RPGs now are hindered by the fact that they are ALWAYS single player, I think games like this were meant to be experienced with multiple people - or at the very least were meant to be given the OPTION of playing with other people. I have felt, ever since finding the avatar series , that its strongest point is its humanity. It was made to make people think empathetically and compassionately, I think any avatar game that doesn't have the option of multiplayer is doing the series a great disservice.

It wasn’t turned into a 4th season because the writers had no intention of making a 4th season ya casual And they never adapted this because this isn’t anime. Cartoons don’t adapt comics, only anime does that to manga Also, there’s no main focus on the story so if they did make a 4th season it’d be pretty ass story wise since the only thing happening is Aang basically doing side missions Ya can’t do an entire season on a side character (zuko) and even if u could it wouldn’t even last an entire season. If there was a main conflict, or antagonist or even just one central plot they’d be able to make another season

In ATLA you could only blood-bend during a full moon. It wasn't till lok that you could blood bend at any time.
