Editor's Note: My edits were all made to keep the video on one, central topic by editing together relevant commentary from many parts of Hasan's streams to create a storyline that is still followable by the viewer. I also edited in commentary of my own in places, in addition to relevant external information that improves the viewing experience. A lot of edits were made for comedy purposes, or to enhance the comedic timing of certain beats, but never to misrepresent Hasan's point of view.
If you like my edits, leave a Comment, Like, and Subscribe. It helps a lot, thank you :)

I don't think Vince mentions this, but Dylan Wheeler (now goes by uberdae) is almost 30 and still uses slurs that would make a cod lobby blush. Guy also got caught because he was hosting a dark web server where other people stored CP. He got out on bond and fled Australia for the UK, leaving his mom (who was already struggling) with a couple million AUD bill. All of this is talked about in the Darknet Diaries podcast ep. 45.
He says that in the video.
Yep and now the darknet diaries guy is stalking him and trying to destroy his channel
@@hkandm4s23 absolutely not what's happening. A different guy that's barely mentioned in this video is stalking him. Jack Rhysider, "the Darknet Diaries guy" is a wonderful man who I've met multiple times and would never intentionally make anyone feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
@thebeardedcat I meant the person mentioned in the story who was interviewed by darknet diaries. If you were referring to another episode or the channel owner, apologies. It sounded as if you were referring to the stalker who was interviewed by darknet diaries.
what an awful dude, of all the paths his life could’ve taken he chose that
It's okay when the CIA hacks my computer to listen to me but when I do it to multi billion dollar mega corporations it's a crime? Wild.

If this kid got into a good Computer Science or Electrical Engineering program he would have had an incredibly successful career
He could be working on the Steam Deck at Valve right now and instead he did this, beyond frustrating
@@wyattr7982GO OUTSIDE
maybe he couldn’t get into a good program. it’s not like america makes it cheap or less competitive (because of rich ppl being able to pay their dumb kids into schools)
This kid didn't need a degree, he needed an outlet for his energy. I got lucky and had some good people who recognised this and set me on productive things. The collage system is a scam for producing sub-par workers. This kid was far beyond what collage would have offered him and he would have dropped out in boredom. I didn't realize until later in life just how close I came to this.
@@tecno2053it's the root of most youth crime, boredom. Crime began to drop in the 90s due to video games and internet porn. Teens are less likely to go out and get in trouble if they're sitting at homs playing vidya or jacking off.
Vince is dealing with a legit stalker that is one of the hackers! He needs support right now.
Vince (while wearing nice teddy fresh) dropped a new video about his nightmare harassment from this mom basement hacker dweller last night.
Just for clarity, the "You wouldn't download a car" meme is a modified quote, it was originally "You wouldn't STEAL a car," from an anti-piracy commercial, as in, you wouldn't physically jack a real life car from someone else, and that the only reason you're comfortable with downloading pirated movies and music is because of how easy it is and how "victimless" it appears since you are making a copy rather than taking someone else's tangible personal property. The joke response "you wouldn't download a car" is basically saying pointing out how everyone totally would if they could, and highlights the ridiculousness of the comparison between copyright infringement and theft. If you could somehow just 3D print a car for free you would and it might hurt car manufacturers but no one would care because the utility of it would be too valuable and it would be for the greater good.
Theft of intellectual property is theft. Somebody labored to build that piece of music or software just as surely as somebody labored to build a car or a house. This really isn't tough to understand unless you don't want to understand it. Theft doesn't magically stop being theft when music is stored in file on a computer instead of on a compact disc or a vinyl record. The storage medium is incidental. And as far as "the greater good" goes, it doesn't serve "the greater good" if creative people are robbed of the fruit of their labors, and therefore have no motivation to continue creating. Even creators willing to practice their art or science for free, for the love of it, have hardly any time or energy to practice it if they're not getting paid because they need to work all day at a non-creative job that does pay. Also, all sorts of monstrous acts that we know are wrong can be rationalized by appealing to "the greater good."
There is also the fact that a car is scarce, whereas IP isn't: The IP owner is still able to sell or use its property even after you 'steal' it.
@@profd65 but anti-piracy measures against movies and music generally don't do anything to help the people who created the art, it only helps look after the profits of the movie distributors and record labels. Most music artists don't give a shit if you pirate their music because that's not how they make their money and studies have shown that piracy doesn't really make a dent in sales, most people who pirate stuff weren't going to buy the product anyway.
@@user-gy1bu9gf8l If IP (an app, a DAW, music, etc.) is available for free on the Internet, nobody's going to buy it; therefore, the IP owner won't be able to sell it.
Finding customers is the main problem confronting a business owner, and a lack of customers is the main cause of business failure. There will be no customers if the product can be obtained for free.
@@BeginsWithTheEnd I'm guessing you weren't around for the '90s when people actually bought CD's. Most music artists don't make money selling their music nowadays, because they have no customers, and they have no customers because their music is available for free. What is so tough to understand about this?
Most people who pirate music might not have bought it if they couldn't get it for free, but many others would have bought it if they couldn't get it for free. You want proof? The many billions of dollars worth of records, tapes, and CD's that were sold before RUclips and torrent sites came around.

The FBI is involved because they work with game companies to make propaganda. They admitted it with Atomic Games because Atomic actually has it's name attached to government tools LMAO. The FBI doesn't want to admit it is funding a company as big as Epic, and it's much more covert propaganda than what Atomic made. Also ngl I'm a pharmacy technician and we have a MASTER PASSWORD LIST with the logins AND passwords for major drug distributors and other services we use 😂😂😂 not sure if they saved it on the network but it was made in Word and printed out. We have multiple paper copies. It's so stupid and unsafe but nobody wants to change

Damn, I remember in like 2012 hopping into a MW2 lobby and being so excited when I saw people flying through the air. The jumping mods were so fucking good for that game, wild to see this dude get hit for it. It made the game more fun tbh, but it did make finding a competitive lobby harder. The game could benefit from having more sandbox modes! It was cool. You could get outside the map and shit. I still think about that

Damn I used to buy fifa coins as a kid. Didnt know this guy was behind it lmfao
Dude fucking paused the video right after the narrator said "death sentence"! I nearly lost my shit until it continued "for a gamer". Am I the only one who thought this?
Security camera intrusion is disgustingly easy. Like seriously everyone please please please do some research and make sure your shit isn't just begging to be viewed by anyone who might stumble past it. Learning a lot of the same things that this kid learned has made a very big impression on me and my view of cyber security. Jtagging my 360 was infinitely more complicated than accessing most security cameras that are being used to this day. I have no desire to invade people's privacy or to pull off heists. I'm by no means a genius and there are people much smarter than myself out there with bad intentions. Make sure you and your loved ones don't have something that is supposed to provide them some sense of security turn out to be the very thing that makes their lives insecure.
As an employed person somewhere, I can second this. Security is in a lot of cases just to scare off petty crimes because if your shit is worth a lot to somebody the time investment to get it is worth it.
Companies have anti phishing tests and mandatory training yearly and still people fail in 10%. Literally so easy to phish companies if you get in.
@@Presario3440 you aren't kidding. The amount of times the news talks about a major data breach being from a "hacking attack" when in reality it was nothing more than a case of social engineering where someone just convinced someone at a company to give them their password by pretending to be someone from the IT department is fucking nuts. Like you can put posters that say "nobody from IT will *EVER* ask you for your login credentials over the phone" every few feet on every wall of the building and people will still give that shit up like it's the code to defuse a bomb at their mother's house. It's even worse than just phishing and changing the ls to Is in the web address of the login. It's just telling them "I'm someone you should give your password to" and them just fucking doing it.
there are some great DEFCON talks from a few years ago about this, it’s uhhh, frightening
OMG, the RROD Song, I've never thought I'd hear it again
2:36 no no Microsoft you can’t advertise something as unhackable because that makes hackers WANT to hack it! They relish the challenge!
Mofos didn’t learn from the Titanic
On an unrelated note, right wing trash often claim how unhackable they are and flaunt how impenetrable their security is.
I feel this way about lock picking, it’s an interesting and a lot of fun to learn, people will say “it’s bad and criminals might see it and use it for theft!” To that I always say ‘a brick is faster’
Good edits keep it up. ❤

Hello, friend.
yass i love these kind of reactions x) and i even have some pizza ready
he stopped watching right before the craziest part
Its ridiculous to get a whole year let alone a decade for hacking like this.
See I think stealing games in development and playing them in your house without sharing them is the kind of crime where it should just be a "Damn probably don't share this but it's just an early build you can have it I guess."
I feel like when it extends into leaking it online/selling it to external parties that's where it can be a "Damn you're kind of on thin ice we'd rather this not be public/you are selling an early build of this game please stop."
That's where it can be something charge worthy. But it shouldn't be like 20+ years on jail
Probably like 1 or 1.5 years. If any time at all.
Piracy literally doesn't hurt IP's, my family here in Brazil have been pirating Windows for more than 1 decade and I've received a free Windows 10 copy from Microsoft, lmao
Even the police here in Brazil buys/downloads pirated games, movies and software, like wtf
You’re still stealing, but you’re also demonstrating why education in Brazil isn’t great.

People be like, video game piracy is bad, but buy cheap china products to repair their cars instead of the original parts
This bank robbery had never taken place
gears of war 3 still sold 3 million copies in the very first week. I think epic was fine
"stole an IP" Uhhhh, in this case he's stealing a piece of media a bunch of devs had been working on. It'd be the same as stealing a copy of someone's unfinished book or video or art where parts are still really shitty and not ready to be shown, and someone steals and shows it to everybody. Money stolen from banks is insured... there's no "insurance" for people's first impression of a piece of media.
funny how if this was in china everyone would be like "of course they are being monitored, it's china, the worst place on earth it would never happen here" but because it's in the US, it's "but they were justified to do so, because he stole some games"
