You have a point, but when it comes to the Eucharist, it’s obvious he meant it literally, because not only the early Christians took that literally, but Paul wrote to the church in Corinth as if it was literal.

I've been a protistant all my life, but I'm not going to be for much longer, because they are preaching heresy and lies. There whole foundation is based on lies and unfortunately I believed their lies all my life and now I have to start all over again. Reprogram my mind to the truth. I have diligently watched numerous Protestant RUclipsrs from various denominations, ensuring a well-rounded representation. I have read extensively from Protestant authors across different denominations, and I have even delved into the seminal works of Luther and Calvin. Additionally, I have spent countless hours listening to Protestant sermons from a wide array of denominations.
Despite this thorough investigation, I consistently found significant gaps in their logic. These logical failures were not limited to contentious issues but extended to less controversial topics as well. Historically, Protestant teachings frequently contradict the tenets of early Christianity. While there are occasional points of agreement, no single Protestant denomination aligns well with early Christianity. Moreover, from a biblical standpoint, Catholicism presents a far more defensible position.

Well, he's actuay more consistent than most protestants. They'll never admit this but they think they have a license to sin because they believe ALL of their sins are forgiven once they say a magic prayer - including all future sins. That's why they think they are eternally secure.
That's a false and dishonest representation of protestant beliefs about sin and salvation. It's like me saying that catholics believe that good works get you to heaven.
@@oh4531 I don't think so. I was a protestant for 30 years and know many people who view it like that. They would reject the way I phrased it, saying that a true Christian wouldn't want to sin in the first place. But you cannot deny that it is not a core belief of theirs that all sins (past present and future) are forgiven and that there is no sin that can seperate them from heaven. And I believe many protestants would affirm that. But what is that if not a license to sin?
And even if someone rejects the idea that it at the least enables then to continues in sin, it is still more consistent to not pray the Lord's prayer. Why would you ask for forgiveness if your sins are already forgiven?

I was arguing on X just a few days ago with someone who said all their sins--even future ones--were already forgiven, so there is no need to ever confess one's sins to God or ask for forgiveness. 😳 I couldn't believe my eyes when they said that. Concerning some of these really strange beliefs, I find it hard to believe that adherents of those beliefs ACTUALLY believe them.
And yet they continue to repeat info about all of the sins of Catholics and the Catholic Church. If it was faith alone, and once saved always saved, from the beginning, why would it matter?
I've heard some Protestants say that confessing your sins and asking God for forgiveness (and also getting baptized) was diabolical. My jaw dropped when I heard them say these things. Every time I think Protestors can't get go any lower, they prove me wrong. Sadly, they will most likely come up with something worse.

All of our sins have been forgiven. When we ask for forgiveness after salvation is different because it’s more of a personal relationship rather than trying to justify salvation. 2 different things that catholics mix up

Unbelievable anyone would say to anyone not to pray the Lord's Prayer! Not only is it beautiful to recite it during Mass and beyond, but it is also a template or guide for all prayer to the Father. The Aramaic word that Jesus used for "Father" is "Aboon" in the Aramaic, also "Abba" in the Hebrew. It means "Papa" or "Daddy"...it is very familiar, showing how close we can get to God the Father through Jesus. "Hallowed be thy name"...stop, give praise and thanksgiving...forget not all of His benefits. The Psalms tell us that God inhabits His praises! "Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as in heaven"...pray for evangelization, truth, mercy, and justice...believe in faith that God will do His will in the earth as you pray for it. "Give us this day our daily bread"...pray for your needs and the needs of others to be met. St. James wrote that we have not because we ask not. (James 4:2-3). "Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us" - stop and confess any sins that you may need to confess; stop and forgive everyone who may have offended you. Go to the priest soon if you need to, but confess now, as you pray. "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil" - God will give you a way out of temptation and vanquish the deceits of the devil. Stop and listen here, and let Him speak to you. There are layers and layers of meaning in the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray!

I had a discussion about sola scriptura and the multitude of interpretations. When I pressed the issue the protestant countered with "the Bible doesn't mean one thing, so all interpretations people claim the Holy Spirit guides them actually have true interpretation even when it counters other interpretations"

This is the problem with Protestantism. Everyone becomes their own pope. I’ve heard this pastors testimony on several platforms and never heard him mention Jesus by Name once. The first time he does, it’s heresy.

I love praying the Lords prayer, it's how I start the day, before I eat or go outside I pray the Lords prayer. After mass I pray the Lord's prayer. Even before going to sleep I pray the Lord's prayer. That dude telling us to stop praying the Lord's prayer is absolutely insane!

I agree with what your saying and we should remember that repentance and confession is apart of growing in grace and becoming more Christlike and so just because you commit a sin or you struggling with a certain sin or sins it doesn’t mean that you have lost salvation and that you have to start all over again it just means that you have to repent and confess and ask for forgiveness and God will forgive you if you look at the context of that scripture in Hebrews it is talking about Pharisees who reject Jesus.
They are absolutely right, it is the core of the protestant doctrine. They just outright refuse to pray Our Father.

To the first video, “was there an offering for sin before Christ died?” Actually, yes there was. It was called, ironically, a sin offering. It required the person to bring a sacrifice for their sins, and to be repentant. The only difference since Christ’s death is that we no longer have to bring the sacrifice as Christ provided the once for all sacrifice on the cross. We still need to repent of our sins.

@@hebrews5127 there isnt such offering/sacrifices to "queen". You are making it. Even catholic church prohibited a certain group sect doing offering of bread to Mary during middle age, your affirmantion is something off. Even its said, that her value is lower than an atom when compared to God, from catholic's mouth.
But by some motive you are ommiting one important thing within the catholicism: There is worship to one thing that doesnt have ears, mounth, the eucharisty, having no human form, but humble form of Himself. This has no form of human/animal. Has a different conotation from "veneration/honor/respect", but "worship", "adoration".
Interesting tho, by the meaning of "eucharisthia" is "sacrifice", there is one, suffice and perfect that saves us, Jesus'.
You have free will, but Jesus wasnt just a simple prophet, He was God. This and has nothing to do with other human creature.

I have met protestants who believe that it doesn't matter anymore if they sin or not, as they are saved, their ticket has been paid, they are going to heaven regardless. This is very dangerous thinking, not just for their salvation, but for the very fabric of society, as taken to the extreme, it permits criminality.

I think the guy wanted to say accept the word of God as it is don't try to interpret it as you want but he lacked the words so he said don't try to understand it instead.
I loved this video. I disagree highly with the guy you were reacting to, and I agree with most things you have said in this video. I do have one question though, how do you know that the Catholic Church has the succession to Saint Peter when Eastern Orthodox claim that their version of the pope has the succession to Saint Peter? When I research the councils, I take everything the first seven ecumenical councils say with utmost reverence, but the councils after the great schism I contemplate on wether I believe what they are saying, I do that with both the councils on the Catholic side and the councils on the Eastern Orthodox side. I try my hardest to be faithful to God, but this one thing trips me up the most. This is why I haven’t chose Catholicism or Eastern Orthodoxy.
