Oh wow Tom has gotten alot older, but he sounds just as good as he did in the 80s. Plus Nile Rogers, they both make this eternal timeless and iconic song all the more magical. As a teenager growing up in the 80s I can honestly say this was music, not that stuff kids listen to today. They don't make songs like this or hold me now anymore, and that's a downright shame. Tom and Nile thank you boys for keeping the music of my youth alive for generations to come. May God richly bless you both always my brothers♥️🌹🌹🌹
@@ClarkKent-xu5wm Why do you think his singing is pitiful? If you think you can sing better, post a video of it so I can laugh at you and call you names. Oh yeah, I forgot. Trolls like you tend to hide behind the anonymity of your keyboard, so I guess that will never happen. Have a nice day
It's because he's running tracks. Who knows what is actually live especially with the background vocals. There are many videos where on the guitar solo you can tell he's not playing it. By the way, I'm a fan of the twins.
@@EM-hq7hv Clark isn't the one being paid to be on stage. I've been a fan of The Thompson Twins since I was about 10 (1982) and I was luckily enough to see them a few times through the late 80s and I concur with Clark. His voice has lost a lot.
The 2 of them performed Hold Me Now at Live Aid, Philadelphia. Nile Rodgers produced this in 1984. Chic will have an interesting version if they ever perform this!
Nile R, un guitarrista muy carismatico... si bien no se sabía la canción de todas formas es un aporte, en esta que es la canción más linda de Thompson Twins.
I'm sorry but I have to say even though nile is on stage they don't sound as good as I remember the thompson twins 😕....I suppose I'm stuck in the past.
Strange guy. He was vey successful pop singer songwriter as Thompson Twin in 1980s but then just stopped, went doing crap electronica and started his solo career, too late of course.
This absolutely kicks ass. Crowd doesn't even know what they're listening to.
You would never know, judging by the audience, that there are two legends on stage. Great song, tough crowd.
Totally. Rude crowd. Excellent song. Two legends. Good grief, people.
@@northharper749 Like...put your phone down and listen.
@@daverindone655 I did. I listened with same intensity as I do on Bingo night. The audience was still rude.
How can you just chat among yourself when you have Tom Bailey and Nile Rogers singing !! Get a musical education!!
And another saying I agree .
What an incredible live version & holy sh*t…with Nile Rodgers. Seriously? Surreal. Classic beautiful song too.
tom still as a amazing voice still sounds as good as the 80s,
Only Tom Bailey & Nile Rodgers could make a fantastic song sound absolutely magical.

Always been a favourite of mine.....takes me straight back to living in Auckland around '83/84
Without even reading the credits for this track, you know Nile Rodgers had something to do with it. Brilliant.

His voice sounds shot to me.

The melody sounds fantastic!
Holy shit this gave me the chills !!!! [Ooooh what a ruuuuuuush
Someone should’ve told the audience , half the Thompson Twins were in da house + Nile the living legend Rodgers.
He still sounds good!!! Songs brings back lots memories when I was in my 20's. This when music was music!!!!😎🎸💯🎶🎶🎶🎶❤
Uffff, temazo, what a song!!!! Still surprised me!!!!
Great video! Thanks for posting
excellent song-writers-singers -musicians-well done=R.I.P. Nile=Trinity bless everyone with good safe healthy days
What an absolute masterpiece, this song definitely is my favorite. Brings back high school memories 86/87. To bad the audience looks out of range.
Very enjoyable STILL !
Great stuff
Amazing
The 2 of them performed Hold Me Now at Live Aid, Philadelphia.
Nile Rodgers produced this in 1984.
Chic will have an interesting version if they ever perform this!
Love this song from my heart. Somehow it touches something in me. A subliminal message perhaps?
Nile Rodgers is more than human
great job sounds good....
their best hit
Nile R, un guitarrista muy carismatico... si bien no se sabía la canción de todas formas es un aporte, en esta que es la canción más linda de Thompson Twins.
Wow do the crowd really know who is performing in front of them.
Tom Baylei and Nile Rodgers.Wonderfull.
And just like that my insomnia is cured
Hace mucha falta Alannah currie.
ellos fueron parte de mi adolescencia ❤️
Parabéns pela qualidade sonora deste video👍
Just amazing!!!.....really?..Tom Bailey and Nile Rodgers???
Fantasticos 😎
Awww!! I was hoping for a Bon Jovi song.
killer♥
They should have put that guitar break in the original version
Loosest Whammy bar ever.
Not the same without Alanah and Joe. Wish the three would come back.
I agree
That would be fantastic.
♥️👑🇺🇾
IS SIR TOM A RENT BOY 😮 ?
Perhaps Joe Leeway grew up to look like Nile Rogers??? 😊
The original 1984 cut was better than the Nile Rodgers version me
😎😊🎸🎶🎶🎶
I'm sorry but I have to say even though nile is on stage they don't sound as good as I remember the thompson twins 😕....I suppose I'm stuck in the past.
Nile Rodgers should have tuned up first.
Tom, you dog. I see at least 3 ladies in your band.

I don't like this. They are amazing and were underappreciated. Wrong audience.
Not a very enthusiastic crowd that is for sure
