I really prefer this original British version of this song.… They re-recorded it for the US, including gospel singers, possibly to justify having the different video etc.…. Most people seem to prefer that version, but for me this version just seems to groove better and sound more flowing… The American version to me seems to be a little bit too choppy and staccato, while this version seems to appeal to me more and just makes me feel better.…. For some reason if you call this song up on almost any streaming service you get the American version usually……. Anyway, love it!

Funny……….. when this came out I didn’t pay too much attention because I was into more heavy music. But now that the time has passed and the music path was destroyed I have to admit that those kind of instrumentation are gone long ago.
The humans are easily for being bored and somebody decided to change everything, now this is the RESULT.
And nothing to do with that because the today’s society doesn’t have imagination, creativity to bring the golden decade back to life.
I tried really hard to put my sons into the 80’s music, they learned a lot but………. they want to remain in the comfort modern music

I couldn't think of what to say

My mother handed me my first wine cooler in December of 1982, when I was 14 1/2---it was Christmas of 1982---and it was wine, ice, and ginger ale---I got to have that at dad's house in 1982, 1983, and 1984!!! YEAH!!!!

I was 15 in 85, we are lucky to have lived times far away behind the actual time today.

I got the luck to buy the original 80s Thompson Twins' lp about four days ago. Even if I really enjoyed this tune back in the days, now I have become absolutely obsessed about it!!! Everything works so right: the killer bass, voices, lyrics, music, everything. We were so lucky to be teenagers in that decade, the best era in pop music, ever.
