Hey folks! Build videos are a whole other beast to produce. Let me know what you thought of this one! I enjoy making them so if you enjoy them, there will be more to come! If there is something you would like to see me build, let me know!
Life On Beagle Road Can you give your measurements for this AWESOME stand?? Love the video....so does my husband who see a couple of new tools he’d like 😜
I need to go back to the negotiating table. I was not aware that clause was available. You are my hero! Nice goat stand. Glad that new tool worked out ok. ;-)
Life On Beagle Road don’t worry I will reference your video as proof that this is a real thing. You might be getting a call from Wendy... don’t answer it.
Haha your loss 😂 it’s the “trade off” deal I made with my husband, any large projects he has to build or when I get new breeding stock he gets a new fancy toy of his own. I normally end up using them anyways but I can’t do a lot of heavy lifting so large projects he has to do the bulk of it, the tools are pretty handy for my smaller projects so I figured it was a good trade 😂
Nicely done!!! Do you guys have preferences on woods for any reasons? Like for a dinner table...there are so many different kinds. How do you pick the design, the finish, the....the...things....
HA! That's a rabbit hole question if I have ever been asked one. They type of wood all depends on the project. A dinning room table could go either way... Currently its pine since my kids destroy it with projects, however, if I did it again, it would be maple since its so much harder. The kitchen island I made is maple and we love it. Generally, we either go natural wood color or we stain it with Early American. I love walnut, but that can get pretty expensive even when you can diy. We have about 2000 board feet of lumber drying that was cut from our property so expect some projects from that pretty soon!
Awesome!!! Thanks so much for info. It would be cool seeing like coffee tables or nightstands (We're in the market haha) and just how you guys decide on sizes for things and what not. Walnut is awesome from the furniture i've seen made out of it.
I can answer this one, cedar is your best bet long term pine is OK as long as you make sure it’s well sealed so it’s easy to clean but cedar can take the spills etc much easier without needing to worry about the moisture just make sure to use a good food grade wood oil on it and it will last a lifetime (my husbands a carpenter lol)
First, I just asked my subscribers to recommend goat milking stand build videos and BOOM (as Jason from Cog Hill Farms would say), you made one! Thanks! Second, Holy Spicoli, I just subscribed to your channel a couple days ago when you had 666 subscribers and now I see you have over 1,200!!! Great job! Third, sorry for all the exclamation points!!! At least I'm not typing in ALL CAPS!
Great job, and before your last appearance in the video, I was going to say, doesn't the rule state you have to use the said tool on the project? Guess not. Works for me!
Nice job indeed .. not a fan of the new rule, wait no I love it cause now I’ll apply this rule to the kitchen .. oups hun, i had to get this pot because i’m making a big batch of stew hahahha !! Love the vids :)
Tiffy Ri Funny you should ask... Typically we use a Canon 70D, but my daughter broke it. This one was filmed with a refurbished Canon M3 that we picked up super cheap as a backup. Glad we did!
Not weird at all! Everyone needs a man crush!! We need to make #Vlarmer blow up Nate. I need to start using it in everything we do. You got something there buddy!
I've scoured the internet searching for plans to build a milk stand for Nigerian dwarfs. I've watched your video at the very least 10 times. Is there any way you could throw a few measurements in. such as the height and size of the platform. and also the width of the neck opening. or any other measurements that may be helpful. my husband is leaving me to do this project myself and while im fairly competent in building something......im totally new to goats so any input would be AMAZING!!
What’s that router attachment at 5:36? I found you guys via Sow the Land. We are up here in the Pacific NW. Have goats, chickens as well. And I’m horrible about uploading content to our channel! But you should subscribe anyway, on the off chance i post something cool, ha.
As a wife who has a husband and guy friend build my goat related stuff for me (shoulder injury I can’t do a lot of heavy lifting outside my norm) the answer is: yes. My husband also gets new tools when I purchase new breeding animals. It’s our trade off. Lol
Ohh ... This video stops at 46 sec. I have tried 4 times and it is stopping at the same place. Tried it on my pad and my mobilphone. What can be wrong ??
Not sure, I checked on my end and had a couple others just check and all was good. Seems to only be happening on your end. You watch a different video and see if it happens again?
Weed em and Reap sent me here from their video you guys moderated. So glad she threw your name out! You guys are great! If you wouldn't mind check us out too!
Great video!!!!! I'm going to shout you out on my channel. Because you inspired me too make better videos. I am now doing this thing If someone that I watch inspires me I will shout out there channel and leave a link in the description for people to go and subscribe to there channel and a tag to their channel too. So Congratulations!!!!!
Thanks! Much appreciated. Our goal has simply to try and make fun and entertaining content. We are glad you watch and happy that you keep watching! Thanks again!
My husband is a carpenter I asked for a simple shelf to store a few kitchen gear things that don’t fit in the cupboard I can safely put 1000lbs on it... it’s a good shelf. But these stands are better built for a million times the weight because when they are built that way they are likely to last longer without needing repair.

I need to go back to the negotiating table. I was not aware that clause was available. You are my hero! Nice goat stand. Glad that new tool worked out ok. ;-)
You definitely need to go back to the table! Take representation, it may get ruthless!
Life On Beagle Road don’t worry I will reference your video as proof that this is a real thing. You might be getting a call from Wendy... don’t answer it.

Ha...Kenny is lucky I didn't know this when we bought it.
Nice job indeed .. not a fan of the new rule, wait no I love it cause now I’ll apply this rule to the kitchen .. oups hun, i had to get this pot because i’m making a big batch of stew hahahha !! Love the vids :)
Ha! It certainly works both ways, oh don't you worry!
Ill have to take that tool advise making one today lol
Consider critters as yoor job security?? Nice job.oh, and glad to see the apron works...
HAHA... It keep the dust off, but it doesn't help to remember pencils or tape measures!
Too cute!! :)
Thank you so much!
Hi I subscribed to your channel from me Jo Jo and Dutch. Also Daniel from Arms family homestead.
Luv!
Glad you liked it!
I love your camera which one do you use to film if you don’t mind me asking?
Tiffy Ri Funny you should ask... Typically we use a Canon 70D, but my daughter broke it. This one was filmed with a refurbished Canon M3 that we picked up super cheap as a backup. Glad we did!
Life On Beagle Road thanks for the info!
Your videos are really good quality
I love it 🧡
just had to ask ha!
Tiffy Ri No worries, thank you! We are always trying to improve! Thanks for watching!
I used to have that dresser you have in your work shop😆😂
Hahahahaha... I've had that dresser since I was 3 years old believe it or not. Hard to give it up. Painted it twice to give it new life. LOL
Is it weird that I have a mancrush on you? LOL Awesome video as usual! Thanks for sharing #Vlarmer *~Nate*
Not weird at all! Everyone needs a man crush!! We need to make #Vlarmer blow up Nate. I need to start using it in everything we do. You got something there buddy!
LOL It hasn't become a "thing" but it does describe what "we're" doing right?
Challenge accepted!!

Shoot me an email: admin@lifeonbeagleroad.com and I can try to put something together for you.
The head catcher seems pretty skinny, itll probably work for the dwarf goats, but I think my nubians would have their way with that stand.
Yes, I am sure the larger breeds would make short work of this.
Life On Beagle Road Good news is...if it breaks you get a new tool!
Exactly 😉
What’s that router attachment at 5:36? I found you guys via Sow the Land. We are up here in the Pacific NW. Have goats, chickens as well. And I’m horrible about uploading content to our channel! But you should subscribe anyway, on the off chance i post something cool, ha.
Its just a round over bit. Wanted to soften the edges a bit. Not totally necessary, but why not, you know!?
@@LifeOnBeagleRoad oh yeah, i meant what is holding the router to the table, just a clamp?
I would love to win the smoker
Nice job! :) Does Courtney use powertools? LOL ;)
She's grounded from the power tools after losing my drill! She uses a mean blender and coffee maker though!
hahahahahahahahaha
I like the stand but i would need much more detail to build.
I can certainly share what I have with you if you would ever need it.
So,
All I have to do to get new toys, err... I mean tools, is to get goats?
Ha... Seems like an even trade right!?!?
Sounds good to me!
As a wife who has a husband and guy friend build my goat related stuff for me (shoulder injury I can’t do a lot of heavy lifting outside my norm) the answer is: yes. My husband also gets new tools when I purchase new breeding animals. It’s our trade off. Lol
Rick Mitchell YES. Let a woman have her goats and you can justify new toys every time she needs something new for them! Works like a charm.
Life On Beagle Road Thanks. I will try that 😊
Jippi. Today it worked. 👍😄🐐
Awesome, hope you enjoyed it!
I guess since you built the stand you're off the hook to do the milking. ;)
HA! That is correct. As of right now, we have a fairly stubborn momma goat who is not having the new milker! Patience!
Weed em and Reap sent me here from their video you guys moderated. So glad she threw your name out! You guys are great! If you wouldn't mind check us out too!
Welcome. Checked out your 10k bees video.
I'm sure the best wood makers instructions is on woodprix website.
LOL
Great video!!!!! I'm going to shout you out on my channel. Because you inspired me too make better videos. I am now doing this thing If someone that I watch inspires me I will shout out there channel and leave a link in the description for people to go and subscribe to there channel and a tag to their channel too. So Congratulations!!!!!
Thanks! Much appreciated. Our goal has simply to try and make fun and entertaining content. We are glad you watch and happy that you keep watching! Thanks again!
here is the video I shouted you out in !!!!!!!!!! have a blessed day!!!
Didn’t know goats weighted that much? You built that strong enough for a 800lb calf.
That's a family trait. We are over engineerers.
How did you get your wife to believe that you get a new tool with every project? I need to know the secret man.
In exchange, I only pretend to get upset when she drags ANOTHER goat home!
Well that won’t work for me since the goats are my project on the homestead. LOL
