Just wanted to say, I found your channel earlier this week, and started watching at video number one... I have just finished watching all 91 videos, one after another without watching a single other channel.. I'd like to say how impressed I am at the two of you and how hard you have worked over the last two years.. At first I thought you two were a little crazy for picking such a terrible looking boat to restore.. but I think I now see what you saw when you first saw Seabird... it's not just what the boat is, but what the boat will be after you pour your hard work and love into it. P.S.. Now I'm a little sad I will have to wait until each Friday for the next videos to come out.....

      Hello 😊
Nice to hear you’ve enjoyed the binge. We wish we could post more often but it’s already quite hard getting one video per week. Thanks for your comment 👍🏼
How did you manage to watch this episode though?… This video isn’t published yet 🤔

@@SailingSeabird I'm not sure, I had "play all" videos on play list turned on, so it just kept starting one video after another. When it started playing this last video I was surprised because it wasn't showing under the play list..

Hello Marina, I have been on vacation this month and didn't have my computer so I missed your last few videos. Just finished watching this one where you are working by yourself while Stu is out sailing. As always you are doing very very fine work on the deck where the railings and other fittings will be installed. I hope you do not get too lonely while he is gone, just relax and think about the next day's work you will be doing. You both have made lots and lots of progress on the
restoration and I am sure you will be very happy when you start sailing your boat to know that everything is in very good condition for enjoyment and safety. Ok, this was a great video and I'm looking forward to seeing the previous ones that I missed while on vacation. Be very careful and don't have any accidents while you are working alone. Ciao. geo

Stu & Marina, at last I can help you out...I left school with a C&G in carpentry...no 1) always saw on the, waste, side of the line no 2) saw as though you are trying to divide your marked lines no 3) measure three twice mark once no 4) the basic skills of carpentry are easily learned, it's what you do with them that determines whether you are an artist or not! Carpentry works to tolerances of 1 thou...the thickness of a single hair... so divide that line (metalworkers are taught to cut down the line. Look on RUclips for tips...you need to know how to "chip" out, drill out to fasten with screws and to laminate, which I have seen you do many times!!! As always...good luck! Note: always bear in mind when sawing the thickness of the saw must be taken into consideration, hence...the aforementioned.

    Marina,
Someday when you’re sipping on a glass of wine, and Stuart has a nice cold pint, anchored off some Mediterranean Island on Seabird. You’ll do your own binge watch of the story of Seabird. Reliving all the trials and tribulations of this journey you’ve embarked on. Smiling as you think of all the new friends you’ve gathered along the way.
Basking in the knowledge of this amazing project you’ve accomplished and looking forward to all the new friends and places Seabird will take you.
I look forward to watching the videos of those adventures too.
Now go find a nice secluded beach somewhere with Stu and get some down time for yourself before the weather turns….
I’ll raise a glass to you later when I’m out with my Friday evening crew.
Mucho love to my friends on the other side of the pond.

Good to see things progress. Took me four trips out to the boat to convert my ice box to a fridge.... actually there are some bits to finish still. Anyway, the price was right. about 1/10 the cost of a conversion kit....

Stew, you better not make it a habit leaving Marina behind, she wouldn't be alone for long!!! I've never been to France but Marina is worth the trip!!! In all seriousness it's good that you 2 can spend time away from each other without having drama... my opinion is that is what makes a relationship work long term..

Marina, my goodness i am a 68 year old old bachelor who has lived a life of indifference and isolation who would have enjoyed life so much more if I had come across someone as wonderful as you. You make me so happy every friday evening, I bet Stu has to pinch himself every now and again to realise how lucky he is. God bless you both.
