To hear "please come again." after a cat grooming is such a relief. Like a "noone got hurt during the filming of this video."
Oh no! Peter Noone got hurt!
Not Herman's Hermits! @@ferretyluv
Vanessa's "Please come again" stamp of approval for a good girl. ❤
I always wait for this part 😁

1:25 She isn't sinking. She's MELTING!
😅
I mean cats are liquid anyway 😂
When she turned upside down, I thought “oh dear, this isn’t going to work.“ 🤣🤣🤣
"We're not sinking! WE'RE CRASSSHHINNGGG!!!"
a la 'Monty Python'; "A WITCH! SHE'S A WITCH!"
Pretty kitty! For anyone wondering, Phoebe's coat color is "sable tortoiseshell sepia" -- so she's a black tortoiseshell with the Burmese color restriction trait (aka sepia) :]
Thank you for the info.I've seen Burmese in UK but have only seen the dark chocolate or sable? colour.
@@barbarawiddowson635 You're welcome! Sable is definitely the most common, yeah :D I'm most partial to sable tortoiseshell, I love the frosty look it gives on the back and paws. Chocolate (it looks like more of a milk chocolate color though!), blue, and lilac are also very pretty colors in the breed! Totally worth a Google if you have a moment :]
Thank you! I kept describing it to myself as "brindle," but I didn't think that applied to kitties. She's gorgeous, regardless! ❤️🐾
no wonder why it's so unique, she's gorgeous 😄😄
I didn't have a Burmese, but I had two torties (dark and light) that were wonderful kitties!

I had a Burmese cat. He lived to 18. Was the chillest cat ever. Played fetch and loved to go for a drive to find some sand to roll in. 😊❤
Love these stories! Such wonderful memories and feelings to have forever.
@@dopaminey9946I love reading peoples stories on these videos. It’s fun. Also very informative to the different breeds and how they have the same natural behaviors within the breed. When I was in college for veterinary medicine I even took my boy in to demonstrate how to give subconscious fluids. He was diabetic and in kidney failure towards to end of his life. He laid laid there but when he was walking around in the classroom he complained saying I want to go home 😂
My parents got a Burmese before I was born, he was hit by a car when he was 2 (by the neighbours in their driveway of all places) and had to have a leg amputated, but ended up living to 19! Absolutely a hellish cat, but also such a sweet boy.

From her shape she looks like a fairly elderly lady, and not much trouble though she didn't like being tipped out of her "house". A friend had a Burmese when I was young... she lived to the ripe old age of 21 and was a little stand-offish as she got old and a bit fragile. In her youth she was a considerable climber of trees.
we had to get one out of a gumtree, he got out and ran straight up to the first branch... 20ft up.
@@barbarajoyce6424 The one I knew was in Germany, and didn't have any local gumtrees. Her favourite perch for afternoon snoozing for many years was in a cherry tree about 8 ft above the ground, the curve she found so comfortable was shiny from the oil in her fur. But she would climb the ash trees at the end of the garden to a height of about 30 ft to check out her surroundings and she once pursued a cat which was foolish enough to invade her territory up to the very top (probably about 45 - 50 ft).
Surprisingly perhaps for such a regular climber, she was not a hunter of birds which she seemed to ignore completely, probably regarding them as mere passers by; but she made short work of any mouse which dared to enter "her" cellar.
@@jennypratt5345 yep that sounds like a normal Burmese, make you get a ladder
ours weren't interested in birds, mice , rats, cockroaches yes. you don't want to smell cockroach breath
@@barbarajoyce6424 I don't think anyone ever had to get a ladder. She climbed up and down all by herself. I don't think that she was particularly interested in mice... she just didn't allow them in "her" property.
Sometimes I forget that Vanessa is Canadian and then 2:49 comes around and I'm hit with the full experience
Eh
I always get hit with it when she says "out" or "about" 😂

@@anabella05 omg yes, and when she says "sorry" !!!! 🤣
Vanessa: I was told you were going to be nice.
Kitty: You were given bad information.
Sweet girl 😍
I have a pure mostly black w/ white spots burmese and I've never had a cat be so vocal with me. We speak back and forth for hours and he will scream from the other side of a (small) house. And that low shedding is BS. Their faces are so angular, he looks like a little panther. His name is banana and he is oh so handsome.
He sounds like a hoot!!!
Banana is a perfect name for cat
oh i love Banana
I'm on my second cat in my life and both have been extremely vocal with me. They both are/were your run of the mill mixed breed farm cats. I don't know why I'm the one being hollered at all the time but my God it can get to you after a while. Lol 😂
if it's black and angular, look up orientals(solid coloured siamese) also try the Bombay which is a black cat bred from burmese and is meant to look like a mini panther.. Burmese don't actually come in black
All I could think of when she was sinking into the water was, "I'm meeeeltinnnng, I'm mElTiNgGgGg!!!"
Oh what a world, what a world!
When I was a 9 we had a wonderful half Burmese/half Siamese mixed cat named buttons for 14 years. The breeder did it intentionally because she wanted more of the personality of the Burmese for people as pets. She was wonderful. Vanessa, when you said they are the dogs of the cat world that was such a true statement. My cat without a leash would walk me, around the block. Buttons would go with me if I was alone and walk through all the neighbors yards checking on me every 30 seconds or so. My sisters & mom didn't believe me so I had to show them separately how she would take me for a walk. All I had to do was say Buttons you want to go for a walk. We'd walk about 1/2 -1 mile together. She always wanted to walk a bit ahead watching out for me. We were very close and once she even had a litter of kittens on my feet under the top sheet.Tried to tell my mom she was in labor but she said," oh no not tonight just go to sleep", loI. Labor waits for no one. I still miss her 43 yrs later. 🐈💕🐕💕
What a sweetheart. Glad you experienced that lovely relationship with the kitty world.
Known as a Tonkinese. I had one named Kitty. 99% of the time she was a totally sweet Burmese. The other 1% she was nasty. She was a biter and she'd maul you. I miss this little handful.
Her little grumbly sounds, aww 🥰🥰
She kept her tail so close to her I thought she didn’t even have one 0:18
Me too!!
Why is it that even when a cat is planning your doom they’re still adorable?❤
1:06 my hearttt
Those little puppy cries almost broke my heart. She went from "unhand me, you cretin!" to "I want my mommy! 😭"
Any cat growling while wearing a happy hoodie is hilarious. They just look so pitiful. ❤
"Thank you, please come again." I just love this channel. Aways entertaining and informative on different breeds.
She was a sweet girl. It’s always a good sign if you say “please come again”.
Pretty kitty. I love her little vocal protests. She is so cute😊
Just like my cat😍 shell make all the noise in the world, but then she just goes limp and accepts whatever you're about to do😂
Same to my cat. Mine's a torby. So half tortie like this Burmese!
Mine too - BSH tortie. However she sheds tonnes!!!
Burmese are quite simply, the BEST cat you can possibly have. Incredibly low maintenance and personalities that are just 100% cuddle seekers make them utterly perfect.
She really is sweet, honest.
I have a burmilla and my family has burmese cats. They have never ever swiped at or tried to bite us, but they will get LOUD when they're not happy with what you're doing!
It's very adorable to have one-sided shouting matches with my cat when I give her a bath or clip her back nails
Fellow Burmilla enjoyer here! Mine has been opinionated since his eyes opened and has taught his moggy sister to be the same XD He's a wonderful cat, worth every penny.
“P as in Phoebe. H as in hoebe. O as in oebe. E as in ebe. B as in b-be. and E as in… 'ello there, mate!”😊💟
🤣pheebs is the bestt
😊😊
Ohh it's the whimpers that melts my heart 💜... What a beautiful soul this kitty. Very particular and picky lol. I love it❤
😂 way to lift my spirits. I’ve never seen a cat roll over in the tub like an upside down turtle. Glad she made it and didn’t sink all the way.
i think the happy hoodie rly made miss phoebe completely forget how to function lol
Such a pretty baby~ Her eyes are so beautiful~♡♡♡
Such a fancy carrier, pretty🎀 Amazing the change that comes over so many cats once the happy hoodie comes into the picture.
that is a BEAUTIFUL catt 🩷
I used to cat-sit a friend’s Burmese and I’ve loved them ever since. You surprised me when you said they’re vocal because Mandy was quiet, dignified, dainty. Tiny little front paws, gold eyes, warm blocky body. Loved to cuddle. She made a believer out of me.
I always laugh whenever you have captions of what they are probably thinking! 😂
You're so good with her and with all of the babies you groom. You adjusted how you were working with her so that she was comfortable, listening to and respecting her boundaries and needs.
She saw that you did that and felt able to relax and get groomed
Her growling at the nail trim reminds me of my cat. I have never heard such a noise from a cat! I didn’t see her swat or try to bite you, though. It would take two people to get my cat’s nails trimmed, because she was a master of the bunny kick.
Except for the vocal objections, she is nearly angelic. Thank you for sharing her with your fans.
She is so cute😍😍😍😍.
It's so cute when they reach the "oh god I can't fight this monster, just let it happen and hope it'll be over quickly" stage
I LOVE her eyes.
What a pretty kitty! Very well-behaved!❤❤❤
I desperately hope to see an english or french bulldog's grooming here! Love their personalities soo much
1:25 "Hello, this is the German Coast Guard. What is she thinking about?"
lol I remember that ad. "What are you sinking about?" Hella dark
I was going to make the same joke XD
@@ichbinben. Yeah, I'm just 15 hours late...
My mom has the same exact cat that’s very vocal in similar sounds.
The happy hoodie would make me very happy. Seems to really help with calming. 👍❤️🤗
My burmese mix used to meow on every step. As in every single step had its own meow.
It resulted in MrpMrpMrpMrp going up and down the stairs. Super super chatty.
His brother? Silent. Audibly meowed maybe twice in his life? Mostly communicated with pointed looks and growls.
What gorgeous eyes she has!
Aw! I have a Burmese boy myself, they are just wonderful. Mine hates the rubber brushes unfortunately, but I found besides the equigroomer that you used as well the small furminator workes great for when he is shedding his winter coat! 💜
“Wanna go for a bath?”
“Are you kidding me, lady?”
Sassy pants, she was growling, but calmed down. She's a pretty one!😊
the transport Bag was super cute!
Kitty caaat!!!!
Aww, those little cries. She's so pretty. Btw, if you're up for a challenge, I'd love to see you give my Buckeye a bath and nail trim. 😸💜😻
0:46 Heh. One of my cats makes that exact same sound whenever I clip his front nails.
My oldest does but I made a deal with him that he can growl all he wants, but no biting. It has made his nail clipping times easier.
that is a beautiful cat. you are a genius with all the fur babies you groom,
This is adorable!
She looks like the perfect Halloween kitty. 🐈⬛
What a beautiful cat. She was vocal about her boundaries and her displeasure, but Vanessa adapted to her brilliantly.
‘Dog-like cat’
Cat: IMMEDIATELY starts catting!! 😭😂😂😂
Stunning Kitty Kat and a Little Bit of Spicy Liveliness In Phoebe after you Dumped her on the table for the grooming session Vanessa 😂🤣😆😂🤣😆
I adopted a cat that turned out to be a Burmese ❤she was so dense and heavy despite looking lean. The vet told us that they’re considered “fur covered bricks” 😂
My burmese cats are so extra about nail clipping too haha. Excited to see Burmese cat representation :D Also really helpful to see what brushes work best for them :) thanks Vanessa :)
this is the first time i’ve ever seen a cat come out hissing but leave purring 😂
once i learned hissing only rly indicates discomfort this sort of thing started to make a lot more sense lol poor thing was just nervous at the start
I had a blue American Burmese once and she was the coolest cat ever. Played fetch and everything.
What a beauty and sassy too!
I think my favorite part is where she says thank you! Please come again! I love you!
Probably the cat’s favorite part, too…. LOL!
I LOVE a Torty Cat. 💖💖🐈⬛
She is adorable.
I'm glad she calmed down after awhile so you could finish the groom. Pretty kitty! I agree; Zoom Groom for the win.
“What are you sinking about?” - German coast guard
omg my first cat ever was a burmese, and i’m pretty sure she’s why i turned into a cat-lover. she was the most loving and social little creature, she loved to greet guests by sitting in their laps. they really are a wonderful breed!!
Oh this one made me cry 😭
Whenever you put a cat in a happy hoody I expect them to extend their Index Finger and demand to homephone
Aaw she is a sweetheart!!! And definitely a tube lover!!!
What a beautiful baby girl! She's so cute...
Love this breed. I grew up with this breed. All of them were loving and fun
She's so sweet,,
I thought she had no tail until about 2:00!
she was sooo saaaaaad
The look on her face in the bath says "Hooman, you are going to pay for this.......😠😠".....
Love this!
Vanessa, now you need to do the most catlike of dogs, the Basenji. It's basically cat software running on dog hardware.
I heard it does parkour a lot!
Loved the visual.
Never understand those strange comparison. Cats are cats and dogs are dogs 🫠
@@Scriptadiaboly I hear that you've never met a Basenji.
I've spent some time with a few different cat breeds, and the Burmese is hands down the only cat that I would ever get from a breeder, instead of a rescue or a foster. The ones i met, who were in their own space, were the sweetest, most laid back cats. A major plus is not having to deal with all of the hair on something like a Maine Coone.
My neighbour had two Burmese cats when I was a child. I loved getting to go to her house for tea and to play with Mi and Pan. Thank you for bringing up a happy memory.❤
She's so beautiful 😍
Phoebe has the sweetest meows!! 😻
We had 2 Burmese kitties, they were litter sisters, we had them for till they were 19 and lost them both within 6 months of each other, They are the most BEAUTIFUL breed I have ever come across. ❤
We had a beautiful Siamese/Burmese mix male cat growing up. Back then my parents were irresponsible and he was unfixed and had kittens with black medium length haired cat we had. Most of her kittens had very short fur that barely shed, very low maintenance. All of them were very friendly, generally meowed constantly, and liked strangers.
I remember Bright Eyes (she was not very smart lol) had very shiny and sleek fur. She was also mega b word to any cat that wasn't related to her. (yes, we were crazy and kept all the kittens, and brought home a few strays on and off. We had 9 cats at one point) When I was 18 I brought in a stray cat after she suffered a leg injury and named her Inari. Inari didn't care for other cats at all, and was at least 8 years old already. So she preferred to spend 100% of her time in my bedroom chilling on my bed. Any time Bright Eyes begged to come into my room, she'd go straight for Inari and try to attack her with zero hesitation. Bright Eyes used to spend a large portion of her time hanging out with me, so I always tried to see if they'd be willing to get along. Tried for over a year with no luck. The only non related cat she got along with was Diego. I always assumed it was because he was so much bigger than her (and loooong) but now I'm wondering if she just hated females LOL. All the other strays we adopted were female (didn't matter if she/they were spayed either, because there was a period where we had a couple unfixed females and even after spaying her/them, her behaviors did not change). And yes, parents now know its better to make sure to always spay/neuter our cats as soon as it's healthy to do so
She's so beautiful!
She’s thinking, lol. Beware, 😂
I love the cat. I love Vanessa. I love this channel. I LOVE Nonna and Nonno!!!!! 😭😭🩷🩷 I love Julian, Maria, and Stephanie! I love this whole family and wish I could meet them so bad!!!!
she's so sweet!
Vanessa you should make T-shirts with the saying Please Come Again, That would be so cool.
The Burmese cat is cute.
i used to have a burmese and he was the absolute BEST
I've had 5 Tonkinese(half Siamese and Burmese)cats over the years and they are the best breed of cats IMO.
I love when you say please come again !
I love Bermese. They are amazing cats. Very friendly and dog like.
She's so adorable!!
My little Burmese girl was only 4 pounds most of her life and had little to no undercoat! I knit her a cable patterned sweater that she wore all of fer 19 winters! ❤❤❤❤❤
amazingly chill for a tortie
That's the first time I've seen my pink kitty carrier anywhere! I've had it probably 15 years.😂
