After writing this, I realize it should be an email. It's long.
Tom, as you have already pointed out, your followers are a pretty smart and clever bunch. I enjoy reading the comments people post and, obviously, your hand picked responses. It is like reading letters between old friends as well as watching you connect with new ones.
This video is a very nice microcosm of one of the aspects of your videos that set you apart, authentic, genuine,,,, choose your preferred word.
You don't edit. You strive for high production values. ;) You welcome the disruptions, if someone chooses to see them as that, of your children popping in as they go about their day. You own your shit. Just a person trying to get through these challenging times. You display honest humanity. You are self deprecating, vulnerable and self confident all at the same time.
The fact that you have a career of real world experience in a seat on the bus that few understand the value of, credited or not, and are taking the time to share the wisdom your experiences have bestowed, is a welcome and much needed gift during these strange times.
I doubt there is follower on your channel that doesn't recognize that this worldwide event is going to change our lives forever. We are watching first-hand, the real-time transformation of Tom Bukovac.
Out of necessity, the mother of invention, The Session Man, only known and respected by industry insiders, to a RUclips sensation. I feel privileged to be witness to it. I'll tell my grandkids, that it must have been like what I imagine people who tell their grandkids "yeah, I saw Bob Dylan on a weekly basis down at a little hole in the wall in The Village back in the sixties before anyone else had heard of him".
Keep doing what you are doing. I hope you understand that you are delivering more than just guitar wisdom, although that alone would be way more than enough.

Love Bubba, the first video i posted in the “contest” I was playing his old 67 bigsby tele....Free Bubba story, about 25 years ago we put together a pickup band complete with shoddy P.A system to play Clyde’s christmas party for timeless guitars and during one of the set breaks I found myself in the back of a old chevy cargo van with Bubba and a few others consuming copious amounts of Jazz Cabbage.... upon trying to exit we learned that the inside door handles did not work and we were stuck in the back of the van.... After a half dozen kicks I managed to blow the back doors open completely destroying the locks on a van I had borrowed to transport said P.A system allowing us to roll out the back of the van in a haze of laughter and smoke

Bubba is such a great guy. I was 21 when I first got to know him. I brought in a homemade VH striped guitar at a store he worked at. He put in a humbucker for me and said, "You can't leave the store without one of these.." It was a 70's script Phase 90 for $40 which I still have. Every Thursday night at the Mad Cactus he would play with Ed and I was glued to his playing. So fluid and tasty. I was lucky to share so many musical moments with him on those jam nights..

hey Tom. My name is Ken Macaluso. My entire life I have always been a music lover. I have wanted to play the guitar since a kid but unfortunately I only actually got started a few years back. I'm 46 I have fun but what I want to get out of it is to become as good as I can possibly be. I do realize though that at my age I realistically will never be like one of the greats. With that said I want to say that I very rarely come across many people that I truly feel totally inspired by in life all around. You however are a true renaissance man . I'm so glad I found my way to you and the show. Your playing ,tone, choice of gear , and overall outlook on life how you seem with your boys and your wife has no doubt uplifted me as well as had me laughing my ass off quite a bit.. cheers buddy. In this strange time I am glad to see that the world still has such gems left among us. ps. on an equally strange note miami vice was my favorite show as a kid. that led me early on to genesis and phil Collins. I too am an avid fan. Thanks for teaching us all this great stuff. I love the part about the blue tape having good sound quality. lol... how do I get my own home skoolin shirt, and mug? Ken from Brooklyn..

LTB (Little Tommy Bukovac), you just drove home the aspect of genuine quality. Like you said about going to a jam and not bringing your own guitar. If you're a "bad ass" you can just pick one up and swing away. So goes your low production cost and equipment, that turns out some "bad ass" quality in what we now subscribe to as "Home Skoolin". Good stuff man.

Oh speaking of it, do you dig Marillion?), great drops of musical wisdom from an amazing long journey as a pro session man. That was always a really misterious and cool kind of musician to me. Session man, when a was a kid, just had this aura like a secret agent man...lol... like a 007 on those holy studios creating something that always amazed kids... you know? Your down to earth mojo is a cool breath of fresh air on a RUclips land full of overthinking and overproduced material. I can’t barely wait for the Ringo volume of Homeskoolin! Being a huge Luke fan, ever since a got the TOTO IV back in 83! I wonder if you two had a good time that day? Because after seeing many Luke’s videos, you two seem to have a similar kind of humor. And what about Don Was? He seems to be a cool cat too! Ringo, well... he is Ringo! Love, love your video studio! Oh about the Cars, my favorite Elliot Easton’s solo is the “Tonight She Comes”... what a scorching work of art! Oh God, this became a letter... I really appreciate what you do here and has been lifting my spirit and reignited my guitar passion. Cheers from Brazil!!!!🎸🥇👊🏻

Always love seeing bubba at jams or when he stops in to timeless guitars. He used always come into making music when I managed it.

65 Impala! That's a piece of history! Love the amps, I'm a long time Roland Cube user. It's no real JC-120, but it makes me happy. Love the Fenders. Cool workbench!

Loved this. Thanks Tom. It may seem bizarre that we all get so excited when you share your life with us, but you're an inspiration and so everything is super interesting.
I'd personally like a 'Head to head' video with you demoing all the different sticky tapes you use for the phone ;)
Please keep it up... Even after lock down is over. x

Tom you really need to get yourself some of that vintage white 3M tape from the 60's. Tone is second to none.

You have to get the '07-'08 2in blue tape.. sounds so much better because they applied the sticky stuff in thicker layers.

Hey Tom, have you ever gone to a session, and thought" man this isn't for me"be it you weren't digging the music, or people involved in the session, and if so, how did you approach it?

Big little Tommy, thanks for getting the barstool in the shot. The picture with Ringo that the wife took is actually a work of art it belongs on an album jacket you could seriously copy, autograph and sell those bad boys think about it. On the other hand it might be to much like work.

Had me at Publix/White Mountain bread...was digging some egg salad open faced on two slabs of White mountain heaven, when Ronno's amazing Angel #9 work came on, followed by Steve and Dick doing intro to Sweet Jane. Blessed to play and appreciate great music. Love some pandora karma with those masterworks back to back. Thought of you, man. Thanks so much

Careful on that TC tuner-it can make a shitload of noise when you are tuning; mostly weird clicks and pops. Thanks as always for all the wonderful videos, Tom! Be safe out there!
