In Canada they can’t give you a traffic ticket unless they physically witness the crime being committed. The only thing they can do with a complaint is patrol the area and talk to the person if they see them, but not give them a ticket unless they watched them commit a crime

Well I Can tell you that Norway is worse.. I lost my drivers lisence for 6months, doing 107km/h in A 70zone in my younger days and i had to pay about 700usd for the violation.. But i guess i deserved It 😅 i wish Norway/Europe was more liberal tho..

That's hilarious. As a criminal defence attorney I can tell you right now that little policing technique he has devised will not hold up in Court. The Crown must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the car that committed the offence is the car he took the picture of, but there may be another car out there, that he didn't take a picture of, that looks very similar to the car that passed him. In other words, it is absolutely imperative that he not lose sight of the car that passes him, and that he pull the car over to ascertain the identity of the driver. What if you loan your car to a friend? Your friend blows by the RCMP and then he tries to use his little technique to charge you with dangerous driving and failing to pull over while being pursued? No way. He's simply trying to obtain compliance through intimidation, which isn't something the RCMP should be proud of. I highly doubt his superiors are aware of this.

That road is by far my favorite driving road. 1st, the scenery in the Canadian Rockies is as close to perfection as you will find. 2nd, the road is great for aggressive driving and twisties. But it can get ass cold there so ice and hard tires can occur. Banff to Jasper is a must do if you like driving back roads... And the camera does not do that lake justice... Almost passed out trying to hike around that lake once...

They more or less are saying a supercar has to come from Europe, meaning no one else makes supercars. Corvettes and Vipers they probably wouldn't consider to be a supercar? The only American supercar would be the Ford GT. Is that because of its price tag and look? To me they are all high end sports cars and therefore supercars. If they consider an Audi to be one, than the GTR definitely is one. Especially a NISMO one. Same for Benz's with their AMG brand. But in all fairness the majority of ppl consider only Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, McClaren's, Bugatti's, Koenigsegg, etc to be Supercars. There's sports cars and then there's high end exotic sports cars. So I can see them only considering those cars as such. A GTR definitely isn't a ricer though. They respect them, just personally wouldn't ever own one. They have an affinity for the European super cars.
The thing is the GTR is very high performance but to a lot of people a supercar is not just about performance. A supercar has to be exotic or special and have the "X factor". Even though the GTR has supercar performance, I personally don't consider the GTR to be a supercar because I don't feel that it's exotic enough. I also don't consider the 911 Turbo S, Corvette or Dodge Viper as supercars eventhough they also have very high performance and can give supercars a run for their money. @Right Round technically it's a fine of up to 10K. I highly doubt they impose the maximum fine if you only 50 over and not driving recklessly. I got pulled over doing 65 over on a empty highway at 3am and cop reduced it to 14 over with a $60 fine.
Oh I've driven the Trans Canada from Calgary to the coast several times...the views you see along that route NEVER get old...Banff, Lake Louise, Golden, Revelstoke, Kamloops...then if you stay on highway 1 and off the Coquihalla (highway 5) your blessed with places like Cache Creek, Spences Bridge and some seriously beauty highway!

It's so beautiful there - 28 years ago we honeymooned in Canada, starting in Vancouver, driving to Lac Le Jun for some hikes and canoeing, then Banff and Jasper to for horseback riding and a hike and campout over Nigel Pass, then a snowcat tour of the glacier, heading to Lake Louis after that at the beginning of a huge blizzard in August that snowed us in at Waterton National Park!
Aussie here the same problem as what you had in this video but it was x10 in reverse. Aussie cops bought out a hooning law and in this law if there’s videos or pictures of you doing burnouts speeding on RUclips or social media pages they are able to fine impound or crush your car. Some of the people that they fined impounded or crushed your car if you still had it no matter how many years they wanted to go back. We even get ticketed and they are wrong and we have to pay between $7,000-$10,000 and win the court case they have made it so we have to pay to show we were wrongfully ticketed and the officer hasn’t been trained properly. Fine I got for speeding 58kmph in a 60kmph zone would have cost me $8,000 a lawyer told him me and I would be targeted and pulled over any time I had driven anywhere. Even when I went into the police station when I got my license back and pointed out the clear as (lie) mistake the cop wrote they said I had 28 days to contest the ticket ( $8,000 to show I was innocent) . So with them saying that I couldn’t do anything and then said so thanks for coming in and told to leave so then I got about 10 cops so angry they were saying to each other let’s follow him to his car and give him a good flogging. So I said which one of you thuves is going to be giving me the money you thieves took and then I walk out of the station but what they didn’t know was I had 20 solid mates turn I’ll

Fine I got for speeding 58kmph in a 60kmph zone would have cost me $8,000 a lawyer told him me and I would be targeted and pulled over any time I had driven anywhere. Even when I went into the police station when I got my license back and pointed out the clear as (lie) mistake the cop wrote they said I had 28 days to contest the ticket ( $8,000 to show I was innocent) . So with them saying that I couldn’t do anything and then said so thanks for coming in and told to leave so then I got about 10 cops so angry they were saying to each other let’s follow him to his car and give him a good flogging. So I said which one of you thuves is going to be giving me the money you thieves took and then I walk out of the station but what they didn’t know was I had 20 solid mates turn I’ll

Great video! This is basically my back yard! It's great to see the perspectives and opinions of others when they experience the fantastic scenery. It reinforces how blessed I should feel to be able to hop in my not quite exotic, but still awesome, old (I mean classic) air cooled Porsche and enjoy those roads whenever I want.
