We always look at food disorders like anorexia and bulimia as things ppl need medical help with. But obesity is treated like a “you” problem. Food addiction is an issue. Especially in this world of convenience we built. They need to hire a sponsor for Zion who watches what he eats and cooks good meals for him. He’s probably a big snacker and consumes too much sugar. Either through soda and juice and/or candy, chips, and cookies. Having someone around to make him healthier options could be a better solution than simply expecting him to make better decisions. That’s like telling a crack head to stop using crack then sitting back and watching them use and saying they don’t want to help themselves. Zion needs help. And just like the crack head ain’t just gonna walk into a rehab or a meeting, Zion needs the ppl who care for him to step up. His family probably also has eating issues. They tell you to just eat less calories than your body needs. But there’s no way I’m eating cereal in the morning, a Caesar salad for lunch, and maybe a dinner of vegetables, chicken, etc and I’m consuming more than 1500 calories. Yet my weight is going up.
