Just found this channel, you guys deserve way more subs yo WTF ?! amazing breakdown of fight sequences in film, with real practical knowledge and application of the martial arts from Chad and Logan, spectacular work, Zaror killed it in this fight scene ! the whole movie is awesome, he was the fight choreographer for the film and his skills are very impressive, KUDOS !
We really appreciate the comment Andrew, and we're so happy to hear you enjoy or videos. We've been struggling to get subscribers so feel free to share! We agree, Marko Zaror did an amazing job using legit BJJ techniques on film. Both actors even commented on the video! Check out the top two comments. We were super humbled that they approved the breakdown.
Thank You Nelson! It really means a lot to our team that both you and Marko watched our video. We work really hard on our break downs and never expect to hear from the talent. Therefore, we are extremely grateful that you took the time to like and comment. You did a fantastic job on the choreography and we hope to see more BJJ fight scenes from you in the future!
We are always open to collaborate with either a firearm instructor or a striking instructor which includes some tradition martial arts like: Wing Chun, TaeKwonDo, Karate, Muay Boran etc...
There is huge potential for bjj/grappling to be popularized into fight scenes. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more since the world discovered bjj close enough to 30 years ago! We’ve seen kali, Muay Thai, HEMA, kung fu, gun fu, etc. Grappling can look just as fun and deadly as shown in this scene. Great breakdown👍
I like these movies x-rays super cool. I thought this another guy was only a coworker, this is the first time I see him x-raying a movie, it was just amazing. Both guys are awesome. Thank you.
Chad is awesome! He mostly focuses on grappling and mma while Logan breakdowns weapons. If you have time, feel free to subscribe and check out all of Chad's videos!
I've never seen Redeemer but I have to say, I'm not the biggest fan of BJJ overall, so it's nice to see fight sequences that aren't just UFC matches with better lighting. I agree with Chad's grade, for sure.
Always been a lover of martial arts since I was a kid binge watching the Jackie Chan films - every week :-). I'm absolutely loving the descriptions and terminology all the names of the various moves. It's amazing what the human body can achieve.
We literally just went through that ankle lock in class today, also the fore head to the mat makes a big difference. I prefer the reverse ankle lock easier IMO! Great great content!! I give your breakdown a A+👍🥋
Thank you Marco! Feel free to subscribe and let us know what other fight scene you'd like to see us breakdown next! If you haven't yet,c heck out our Donnie Yen BJJ breakdown!
These videos are so much fun to watch, I’ve got a few requests, blood sport, the fights with the kick-boxer and Chong le. Unleashed jet li, cradle to the grave, ong bak.
Hi guys, kudos to your comprehensive demonstration and as an avid martial arts movie fan and practitioner I adore this video in deed!. Further, may I please know the name of this fighter who spares with our hero, Marko Zaror?
Of course! Make sure to subscribe and let us know if there are any other fight scenes that you'd like to see us breakdown next. His name is Nuñez Nelson (@nelson_komainu).
Hi! I’m sooo loving this channel and everything you guys put out! Thank you for doing what you do. I have a video request : could you guys do a review of the judo/jujitsu fight scene between Optimus Prime and Megatron from the 1986 animated movie? It’s the part where they play “The Touch” and just before transformers were leaving Earth.
@@ScenicFights You think doing Tony Ja's fight scenes would be a good break down? I'm not sure if there is any more people joining in this channel for other varieties fighting styles.
WTF man - Markos opponent picking on him like glue. How you gonna fight somebody like that? I would air tap immediately🤪 Your guys are great. I love watching your show!
@@ScenicFights actually I like that you said that really works and that you share some basic knowledge about grappling. If you could breakdown teachniques from taken or street fighter with be awesome.
He could flip like that because the other let him. And OC it looks cool. When done like it should there is only one position you end up in flat on your back
5-6 years old is a fantastic age to start. There are some BJJ kid's program for that age group. Certainly look into it near your area. However, 2 years old might be too young.
At the 2:30 mark, wouldn't it make more sense in a real life situation to simply smash your heel into the opponents groin instead of trying for the x-guard? (assuming real life situation and not movie or competition)
Probably valid but one thing that combat sports allows for is safe repetition and repetition is the mother of skill. For a skilled combatant, if he's done the X-guard 1,000 times but an upward groin smash never, it might be worth it for him to do the X-guard over that option to better results; it's really idiosyncratic to the fighter.
This was awesome! thanks for the breakdown!
Thank You Marko for the support! We really appreciate it and we encourage everyone to watch your film the Redeemer now!
This is one of my all time favorite fight scenes in a movie..
y yo siendo chileno no tenía idea de esta película. La buscaré de inmediato. Grande Marko. Saludos!!!!

these two cover hand to hand combat and melee weapons, all they need now is a firearms instructor on the show and they're invincible
Slowflipsfb _ also a striking instructor, like boxing, karate, taekwondo, etc

Id also be cool to see them do a fight scene where they each use their specialties

About the knee bar, I always wonder about kick to the face as you do a knee bar. Is there a way to counter this?
You need the hip free to do a kick to the face; you would be immobilizing the thigh with your own legs for a kneebar.
He could flip like that because the other let him. And OC it looks cool. When done like it should there is only one position you end up in flat on your back
Logan tapped out?! There will be Hell to pay
