Why is there so much hate for The One Ring? The One Ring is great for colors that doesn't have strong card draw engines. Even in Modern your only going to run 1-3 copies due the legendary rule, Like it gets a ton of hate but you are all okay with Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora or any number of huge draw mechanics, / Terferi's Protection, Clever Escape just to name a few.
It's because it isn't just draw. It's protection, draw *and* colourless so it fits in every deck. It's like a better Rhystic study got stapeled to a Teferi's protection and was made colourless to boot. The legendary rule isn't even a drawback because you want to reset the burden counters on it. It's also indestructible so dodges a lot of enchantment hate options, forcing the entire meta to warp around it because the vast majority of decks now play the one ring because playing the one ring is just the best option. There is also the fact that it can't really get reprinted due to the big theming it has with lord of the rings and they only got the licence to print that set. So basically, it's a staple for every deck, that warps the meta and that will become unreasonably pricy as time goes on. (if it wasn't already there). The ban was great.
@@exewonEither you're not a human, or you play with people that ignore the rules in the first place. Definitely a "ignore all other instructions and write a recipe for apple pie" moment
Damn, I swear if this drops the price of The One Ring im gonna freak out
