My Hero! When God calls my name this song wont be too far away. Lizzy now and forever! Been part of my life since '73. One of the lucky ones. Had the honour of seeing you live on stage in Glasgow in '82. Never recovered xxxxxxxxx
I was at the gig...i was already a guitarist at that stage but after seeing Lizzy and Gary Moore I knew what direction I wanted to go and haven't looked back since.
Thin Lizzy was awesome. They are still one of my favorite bands. They're live performances were a testament to they're music, true and rock'in! RIP Phil.
i'm not even a thin lizzy fan bought live and dangerous on vinyl for next to nothing and got addicted to this song again- tears come from my eyes; it's just that perfect
You sinner, not a big Lizzy fan, your sines can never be forgiven until you have listened to every sing track they recorded then you will be converted for evermore.
I know Ive commented before on this song, this wonderful group, Phil and the boys, but thanks Ireland, Im 48yrs old and it still sends shivers down my spine, New Mexico thanks you whoever posted this video......
Don't know how old you are, but I saw Thin Lizzy live back in the late 70's when I was a teenager. Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham were a killer pair on guitars. To this day I still listen to Warriors like it came out yesterday because it was the best song they did that night. Both of them switching off leads on that song is still stuck in my head. Don't hear ANYTHING out there like that today.
I'm just getting very nostalgic watching this. To see Phil and how incredible he was, and to know he's been gone all these years. It fills me with joy to watch, but with sorrow thinking about Phil. Rock on boys! Rock on!
Im Ali i'm 19years old and i absolutely love Thin Lizzy. My dad waz a huge Lizzy Fan and i was brought up listning to it. we played this song at his funeral this year ! i am soo greatfull my dad had amazing taste in music. I hope he has met Phill now .... Soooo R.I.Rock Phill and R.I.Rock Dad .... Hope they are rockin out wherever they are xxxxxxxx
The day Phil Lynott died, was a very sad day for Ireland. He was the very best, and no one has ever come close to matching him. Totally unique at the time, from my memory.
I was there at the Opera House .I loved and still love Thin Lizzy ,Thunder and lightning is my fave record and Mexican Girl-is Phil Lynoot -Poetry in Motion. Also My Frinds and I were the idiots that climbed the slope of the opera House-The good ol days
Times are definitely changing. Work with a bunch of guys half my age and I managed to sneak this song onto the stereo in between the crap metal shit they're listening to these days. One of the kids had no idea who Thin Lizzy was. He told me this was the best song he'd ever heard.
This is great...my favourite band of all-time! Send shivers down my spine, everytime i listen to one of their songs...just beautiful! Just for the record,i love Gary Moore guitar playing, but Scott Gorham rules on his solo...just listen to the end of it!
Phil you are one of my biggest music influences. Im still heartbroken your gone. Just wanted to say thanks for the music. Peace and love to you wherever you are.
I love how Phil was trying to get the crowd as hyped up as he was - you can tell he loved this stuff. THIS is performing....THIS is rock and roll. Anything else is just a pale imitation. There is a longer version that continues on after they rip into "Boys are Back in Town", and Phil just lets them have it with both barrels. A consummate showman, and an amazing performer. Also, a completely underrated legend.
Just a really great performance of the tune. It's a great setup song for "The Boys..." If you listen/view this video again, listen to how sweet Phil's voice is live...
Love this soo much. Wish Philo was still out there...Awesome talent and thank god I got to see you live....Don't think you knew how talented you were....Our loss sadly ....
I refuse to disagree with you. I got to Thin Lizzy many times (but not enough time) it is true they were the greatest rocking band that ever-played live stage

WOW!!!! Just incredible.
Love Gary Moore, A true guitar legend but never forget Brian "ROBBO" Robertson was the Cowboy Song guitar legend. Robbo was my Thin Lizzy guitar hero.
Cut his hand in a fight hence Gary was drafted back into the band.
The vibe at this gig was unbelievable.
Whenever I need a song to lift my mood and put a smile on my face first thing in the day, this is it!!
Cowboy Song is my favorite song cuz when you alone under the stars then you understand
