Today I received a gift from a Samaritan from the church, I live in Ukraine I am 13 years old, unfortunately I did not have enough gifts for 10-14 and I was given 5-9 but I still liked something very much and I thank God for such a gift I had in boxing : pencil case with stationery (beautiful with unicorns) soft toy, hairbrush, towel, mittens, colored pencils. There were 2 toothbrushes, a yo-yo, a maze game, and I will also give jewelry to the little ones. Thank you to the people who make such beautiful gifts for children.
@@melodyabcdefghijklmnopqrst1663 Hello, I really like everything. But since I'm from Ukraine now very relevant toothpastes, brushes, although before I first paid attention to school supplies)
Great job!!! The reusable pads, the wet bag, the spoon/fork combo, and the hand crank/ solar flashlight are great ideas!!! I like that you added toys & fun things to your box.
this is a wonderful box! i have been packing boxes for years now and have never included sanitary pads but i will now.thank you. i do not include makeup or false nails because my personal views are to use the space for other items. can you suggest where to find washable pads? i dont sew at all. i really like to watch videos about what is in boxes. i try to include some crafty items such as beading kits.
Very good box. The owl is super cute, I feel like an owl is a good stuffed animal for that age and I also liked how u put the stickers in the book and the wet bag idea.
This box is soooo amazing! You've thought of every thing a young girl/woman could need and still managed to include toys, wow items and beauty products. I just love everything about this box! 😍
I guess the minimum pads a girl needs is 3 reusable pads to be 'on the safe side.' It will make her feel more protected having at least two pads to herself. While she washes one out, she can use a fresh one.
Older coloring books, dolls and arts and crafts are great toys for girls 10-14, also a deck of cards or spyrograph.. Highlighters and paper clips are good to put in the box as well as a solar calculator and maybe some sticky notes. Put in some headbands, the cloth ones so the girls in Africa can still use them. The reusable pads are great!
That is an amazing kit! I am putting some together now. And would never have thought of reusable pads! And I also can't believe how much stuff you were able to fit in! I also like how you got the flashlights to be solar and crank. I have only seen crank when trying to buy flash lights for mine.
Sewing kit is a great idea! I really love that you haven't made it all stuff for a girly girl too, which is a thing a lot of people do I think, without registering that not all girls who get these boxes ARE girly girls. And I love that you included reusable pads! X
Great ideas!! Never thought of putting a little makeup and the pads! I’ll have to try it! God bless you for all ur work! I jus imagine the joy on their faces😁💜
Great job on your box. Love love love it. I also highly recommend reusable pads for the older girl boxes! They are soft, absorbent, and have no chemicals . There is absolutely nothing more important than hygiene for these young ladies. And they love them.
We like to add a shower curtain in our because they can use it for so many things a floor a tarp a shower curtain a door if they dont have one and so on I loved the box
Fun items for 10-14 year old girls and boys include hackysack, flying disk, puzzles, checkers, deck of playing cards, dominoes...Dollar Tree has the last four items on this list so they don't have to be too expensive. A soccer ball with pump and extra needles would probably go over big with this age group. Dolls or action figures, toy cars, marbles, jump rope...
I think everything is great, I wouldn't take anything out, I never really thought about menstrual items, I will have to put that on my list for next year! Amazon has some good looking kits!
this is great! i love the thought you put into this! i had some ideas of ‘game’ type items just off the top of my head: fidget toys like spinners, mini squishies (the foam kind, not the water ones), mini etch-a-sketch, magnet tins, playing cards, finger boards, a small collection of toy animals, mini coloring books, as well as adult coloring books, scratch it cards, mini dolls or figurines, orbeez, play dough, and i saw another woman on youtube who buys jewelry beads in bulk and then puts a mixture with string in a zip lock bag. cheers! 😊
Was at the Walmart at the crafts area. They had some packages hanging where you could paint the ornaments ( go on window or mirror )) 4 to 6 count. I believe that they would pass code to send. Might want to check out. Also some other items that may be reasonable.
I don't think paint is allowed. I bought similar kits and am switching the paint out with markers-larger size so hopefully they won't dry out before they reach the kids.
I really like your ideas! I just finished packing 4 boxes for girls ages 10 to 14. I put those 5 size shoes in the boxes and they really took a lot of room, but I felt that they were worth it. I also made reusable menstrual pads and put some in my boxes. I found some harmonicas in individual cases on Amazon for a fun toy also.
@@dreaming9to5 Yes...😁..when christmas were near I use to be so happy for this.. and toys were super awesome..toys I use to get hotwheels, yoyo, doll with a sound, stickers, writing erasing pad, clays, gijoes, colour pencils, colour filling book, soaps, colgate, toothbrush, chewing gum, sweets, cloths .... Damn 😍 I still know .. thanks for reminding 😊 and I use to dream about who would have sended this 😍 that was a beautiful moments
The owl is cute but just fyi most South America countries associate owls with witches. I know its weird but it's true. I love the box, thanks for sharing.
INTERESTING to know! Does that go for Central/ Latin American countries, too? This box is older and was sent out in 2019. It ended up in Malawi, I think.
I'd be careful with the makeup. A lot of shoebox appeals don't like makeup as it can incourage girls to do very adult things and it gets taken out at processing. As far as fun things mabye add some cute little bracelets. that she can share with her friends. One thing I always add to my boxes is a water bottle.
Hmmm . Yeah I don't include makeup a lot but I look up stuff online and girls everywhere really seem to like playing with it a bit. I am upgrading my boxes and learning new things and change what I include every year though! I've got some more updated ones on my channel and more coming up!
I'm just going by videos and the samaritans purse website. I look forward to seeing your updates. I also watch other people pack boxes to get ideas for what to do.
Make up is not recommended because in some cultures only prostitutes wear makeup. I learned this from working in the warehouse where they ship the shoe boxes.
Totally off topic, but does your bearded dragon eat foods other than that beardie pellet stuff? For a complete and balanced diet, feed insects, vegetables, and small amounts of fruits. I'm no expert, so you'll need to do some more research.
Oh that's interesting. I assumed that don't know until they get them at the distribution centers and see how many they get and how many each country needs.
I clicked on your video because I wanted to see what makes your choices "perfect" for a 10-14 girl. Hooray for the composition book and school supplies. You might consider adding scissors and some fabric to go with the sewing kit. Hooray for the reusable menstrual pads and wet bag. At least 2 more pads would be better because you don't want her to be wearing the same one all day while the other one dries. Only two can lead to infection. Due to the sex trafficking and abuse of girls in some places, I would take out the make-up and fake nails. These girls work hard, so they aren't going to stay on, and liquid nail glue is not allowed. Consider a water bottle and good firm sole flip flops in place of those items. PLEASE rethink the Halloween clearance. There is still so much demonic witchcraft going on in this world. Our boxes should support the gospel message of Samaritan's Purse and not the opposite. It still looks like a witch. :(

I would recommend putting in two or three reusable pads, so the girl can change it.
This box is soooo amazing! You've thought of every thing a young girl/woman could need and still managed to include toys, wow items and beauty products. I just love everything about this box! 😍
Thanks! I have a couple videos coming up explaining WHY I include certain items and my struggles to include useful vs necessary items!

I got the flashlights from an ebay retailer!
The box is great. The girl will be blessed by your generosity. You put a lot of thought into your boxes.
Thanks! I try to make them as if I was handing it to someone I know in person!

If you put in just one reusable pad, things will get awkward needing to change. And teenagers tend to have more heavy periods for up to almost a week.

I think the most important items are reusable pads. A lot of girls cannot easily hide their periods and it puts them at risk.

Yes! I talk about menstrual products and the importance in more recent videos!
Nice box! The only thing I would suggest is to take out the makeup. I saw on an older item suggestion list that makeup was deemed inappropriate.
Thanks! Yeah someone else commented this. I feel like I learn what to do better every time I make a box!

I havent seen anyone putting like a pattern envelope to sew clothes. But i liked that you added the needles.

I have such a hard time with girl 10 to 14 because I want to give them the "essentials" but also fun items too and it's so hard in one shoebox!
Love the solar flashlights! Where did you find them?
I just found your channel and I love your videos! you have some great ideas, I will make sure to keep these in mind for my girl 10-14 boxes.
Thanks, there will be more!
you can use a regular shoe box, you just have to wrap it with wrapping paper
Yeah I know, I just prefer plastic boxes! Thanks for your feedback!
@@dreaming9to5 me too!
Need not be wrapped. Doesn't hold up well, I'm told. Some folks cover the paper with clear packing tape or use duct tape or contact paper.

I would have put the canvas bag on top of the box.
if it were me id maybe leave out the wooden ball and paddle as the wood is quite thin and break easy
Yeah, I haven't included those in my recent boxes! but at least the wood is not super damaging to the environment once they're done with it.
Where did you get the reusable pads?
Amazon. I usually order these ones: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RQRGP7J/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3SKUZDHRLV4OA&psc=1

He eats black soldier fly larvae with calcium dust and vitamin dust!
Color doesn’t mater my sister’s favorite is green
You can call Samaritan's purse and ask what country the boxes will go to that year.
Oh that's interesting. I assumed that don't know until they get them at the distribution centers and see how many they get and how many each country needs.
The boxes go to many countries in any given year. You won't know until after the fact and if you track them.
Good
