This man cares about his appearance and how he presents himself. He reminds me of old school brothas, especially military. A man of class, dignity and self-respect.
I'm 60 this year and when I was a youngster i'd crease my jeans like that so much that they almost walked on their own to wherever I was in the house while i'm getting ready to face the world like a slipping razor. After almost depleting the stocks of starch products, and the introduction of eco friendly lower temperature settings on modern Irons, I took to sewing permanent seams back and front which I thought looked equally sharp. Everybody was doing it where I lived, some failing dismally because some looked like they were laying the tracks for the arrival of the 3:45 Express from Gunchester. There was no pants hanging off the ass in those days, just pants looking so sharp they almost gave out free paper cuts.

This was my dad, starched, tucked in, pressed and proper. He was Air Force. He was always creased and buttoned up. Years ago, he rolled my sister‘s jeep, taking it to get a repair when somebody pulled out in front of him, he swerved. He was ok, but when he crawled out the back of the jeep, and we met him at the hospital? he was just as tucked in and buttoned up as ever, not a hair out of place. My sister and I were so happy to see him like that. miss him greatly.
Oh, this make me think about my dad. He was born in the 1930's . My dad wore his jeans like that, even his overalls were pressed. I thought my dad was the strongest, smartest, most handsome man in the world! He could fix anything, hunt, fish, and play the guitar ,and man could be blow on the harmonica. At the time when my dad was growing up the world tried to tell him he was less than what God created him to be. But, my dad always knew he was created in the image of his Heavenly Father. In spite of it all he kept his head up. I lost my dad in 2012. The world for me will never be the same. Yep, that generation put the "s" in style and strength.
