  • The WaterQuick Tankless is the first "true on-demand" hot water circulating system designed specifically for use with tankless water heaters in homes without a dedicated hot water return line (includes many existing homes).
Image showing plumbing diagram of tankless water heater with 1 dead-end line
Our most powerful, high speed, ultra-quiet hot water circulation pump is installed on the hot water outlet of a tank-less water heater. An Advanced flow Bridge Valve connects the hot and cold water supply lines under the most remote kitchen or bath fixture in the house.
When the integrated Flow Manager detects hot water use anywhere in the house, it turns on the hot water pump ( just open hot water faucet and then close again). The cool water that normally would go down the drain is circulated back to the water heater through the cold water line.
The Bridge Valve has a built-in temperature sensor that closes when hot water reaches the farthest sink. Unless a hot water faucet is on the Water Monitor will turn off the pump because hot water is everywhere you need it!
    Advanced Bridge Valve
The WQT Waterquick Tankless model is shipped with the Advanced Bridge Valve, this allows as much as 30% more water flow so the cool water in the hot line can be moved back to the water heater faster. This advanced bridge valve is required to keep a tankless water heater running.

This was an exact replacement for the old one that lasted about 10 years. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh The top of my mitigation tube by my roofline was just a 90 elbow which allowed too much debris to fall down into the fan, eventually ruining it. Without this issue, I bet it would have kept running another 10 years. When I replaced this fan, I added an extra elbow joint so the top tube now it does a 180, which should solve that problem. The radon guys around here wanted to charge me a $300 diagnostic fee, then parts/labor (probably close to $600 total). I installed this all by myself in about an hour for the cost of the fan; it would probably be even easier/faster with two people. FYI the manufacturer's warranty greatly differs depending on whether you install it yourself (1 yr warranty) or have a licensed installer do it (10 yrs).

Do you need to add a crossover pipe between the hot and cold lines?

Huh? What good is this with out a bridge valve installed at a distant sink?

Yeah my Rheem tankless gas water heater is installed outside on the wall, g=it's getting rained on right now. Will these pumps work outside in the rain?

So the flow monitor will activate the pump when water is in use? So how will this be beneficial? The purpose of a pump is to circulate the hot water so when you turn on the faucet you will have hot water.

It's "faster" hot water. The bridge valve is open when under something like 95 degrees, so once you open the hot water faucet, the pump can move much more cold water that's been sitting in the lines than you could just flow out the faucet. This essentially moves the cold water out of the way faster. If you want, you can make these turn on with timers and other control electronics like smart outlets and such.

The second video talked about in the last 3 seconds of this video (I can't find where they ever posted up the 2nd vid) would have shown the installation of the other part of this system - a bridge valve - to be installed at the home's sink located furthest from the hot water heater. The bridge valve is connected between the hot & cold water lines there, and automatically recirculates water from the hot side to the cold side when the hot water there begins to cool, thus calling for more/hotter water, and your recirculation pump kicks back on and also kicks the hot water heater on to keep only the hot water line full of hot water at all times.

You will need a pump if you change out a furnace with a tankless to circulate the water to your baseboard heating system, it's a genius way to heat your home with a tankless

I can't click the link to the video about advanced bridge valves. My home has a hot water line that goes to our second floor and a different one that goes to a different end of the main floor. Can I install bridge valves at both ends so that hot water is circulated at these two opposites ends of lines?

Yes, you can install up to 3 bridge valves

The pump instruction maunal specify to not install the pump in the output of a water heater.

The guy needs to slow down on whatever he's on.... the worst part is forgetting to mention the MOST IMPORTANT part of installing this... THE BRIDGE VALVE!
A better solution is a recirculating pump with an integral valve and a timer.
