Hello there. Let me tell you what I managed to gleam off the store owner about these paints. Pardon me for a moment because I'm typing this out on my mobile in the MRT/tube/train. It was a surprise to me actually. I'll tell you as much as I can because my Chinese language is not native level. Anyway, I asked the store owner about these paints and what does he categorise them as, because I had doubts. He was quite dodgy on what to classify them...but he did say that Paul Rubens (PR) obtained their pigments from his dad? (so, they knew what quality of paints PR is producing). He said that while the pigments can't be compared to Schmincke and WN, it's still of a medium to good quality pigments. They have some of the Taiwan's professional (UMAE Macaron Series) quality paints inserted into PR's palette...look for the pastel ones. He also did mentioned that in terms of pigment qualities and price, it should be on par or better than Mission Gold's. Holbein is on the higher range compared to theirs and Mission Gold. I think the rest is how much binder, additives, brightener or other paint making agents they used mix into the pigments. He also mentioned that PR's paint making process is more towards the western style of paint making (unlike Holbein, Turner, Mijello, ShinHan, PWC, or other East Asian brand names)...don't ask me what's the difference, I'm not in that level of paint research yet. PR invited?/requested?/hired? Blockx's Owner?/Paint makers? to train the PR people in the art of paint making. I guess that's where the skills comes from. As for light fastness...he dodged me again LOL...so, you'll have to test it out yourself. OK, that's as far as I can type out on the phone for now, I'll add on and edit out any mistakes when I get back home. Hope it helps.

After two or three months of research, I decided on buying the Paul Rubens 24 set of watercolors as my starting out set in watercolor painting. The quality is great, the pigments are really smooth and highly pigmented. I liked that 20 of the 24 colors were single pigment, another sign of quality that also makes mixing colors easier as they are less likely to get muddy. And finally I loved the packaging and colors. Paul Ruben wins hands down over any of the top expensive brands of professional artists paints when it comes to packaging. I was immediately drawn to both of the colors; the girly pink and the really pretty turquoise blue, and I loved the really soft shammy cloth. I also loved that I was able to buy a block of good quality Paul Ruben watercolor paper that is acid free and 100% cotton, in a beautiful real leather folder that matches the pink color of the watercolor tin palette. I really want to buy the Paul Ruben metallic colors, I have heard great reviews about them. For anyone who has not seen their latest products you are going to be even more impressed! They have come out with these glittery small palettes of 12 colors in a beautiful more vibrant pink than the regular pink palette, and a gorgeous more vibrant blue-green turquoise glitter, these cases are beautiful. Also, Paul Ruben's has come out with these beautiful watercolor paper pads in a regal shiny dark navy blue that almost looks metallic, and a beautiful shiny yellow gold. The watercolor pads in the new colors also come in different sizes and even a round size. Their packaging is so beautiful it makes me want to own everything they put out. I am so glad that their quality matches the quality and beauty of their packaging. We are after all trying to create our idea of beauty, as artists it only makes sense that we would be more drawn to beautiful products.
I took the labels and turned them the other way on the pans, so that they cover the sides and bottom of the pan. Then I replaced the pans in the tin. They all fit, and the pans are labelled with the original labels.

I have been eyeing this set on Amazon for some time now, and am grateful for this detailed review. Will definitely be purchasing this set of watercolors soon. Thank you!
I bought this because you can’t go wrong buying a pink palette. But I don’t love them like I love my creamier vibrant Davinci Holbein ds mg and even sennelier. Definitely tier 3 for me on first impression. I need to use them more maybe. To appreciate them better.
I’m just catching up to some of your super helpful vids. Since in the last couple of years I’ve become more knowledgeable myself about the various wc brands and pigments used, after watching this particular video, I plan to get this set at some point to keep and use for travel or whenever go-to set. I’m not hurting for any wc sets, to be sure. I purchased a Schmincke “Special Edition” set about 6 mos ago of 12 half pans and am beginning to really love it (becoming a fan of their Perylene Green.) Besides the paint, it came in a box the shape of their half pans and included a travel brush, Schmincke apron, a small wc paper block, a coffee cup, brush cleaner and loofah sponge…but it was $105! I also have a DS Ultimate Mixing set and a starter set of Holbein 5 ml 12 colors…typical colors, a QOR High Chroma set….a fave, and a number of other artist and student quality sets. But the quality of this PR set combined with the price is a no-brainer. Thanks so much!
This was super informative, and I'm glad that these colours have an actual light-fastness rating. It really matters to me, that companies inform the consumers about their products, and these paints also have pigment information. Like you say, these look great for the price. Btw, the Puzzuli Red Earth looks absolutely perfect for red brick houses.
They actually used to make bricks with the less pigmented part of that red ochre! The origin of this ancient pigment, which is actually an iron oxide, is from Pozzuoli (this is the correct spelling), not far from where I live, near the city of Naples, Italy
If you live in a major U.S. East Coast city and enjoy urban sketching you know you need a black or a dark grey … we don’t live in the Mediterranean with blue & orange buildings; we need palette colors for our surroundings. Aside from that, I think it’s a good all around color set no matter where one may live there are colors for your surroundings
At the moment & truly a beginner I ty for this video as each set has colors with same names but the colors vary & using the W & N “Cotman student grade” & wonder why the pigments just don’t seem very strong?
I've been eyeing this set for at least a year wondering if I should get it or keep saving for a sennelier set. This review was very thorough and I'm so surprised to see that the lightfastness is so good!! I think I'll be purchasing this set for sure or asking for it as a gift as an upgrade from my W&N cotman series!! 😉👏🏼👏🏼💜 Thanks for the honest comparison with other artist quality paints.🎨
Out of all the cross-brand comparisons I did, I think Sennelier's paints are the most similar to this set. and with it being so much cheaper, I think it's a great option for you Victoria! Really hope you enjoy it.
Thank You for your in depth analysis of these watercolor paints. I've been attempting to understand if these Paul R. watercolor paints were as good as them seemed to be. They look pretty darn great! I love how aware you are of so many of the characteristics of just how a watercolor paint preforms. Thank You!
I was waiting for a good review of these paints ordered them right after i saw your vid they are gonna be a great upgrade from my cottman 12 pan set so many single pigment colors!
Thanks so much for this review. I have seen them on Amazon and assumed based on the price that they were craft paints like the Prima collections.. I will now order a set as I like to have a less precious set for travel instead of bringing along my Daniel Smith, QOR, and M.Grahams.
Thank you for this video. I was thinking to buy one set like this, now I'm definetely going to buy one. This colors will not upgrade my skill, but now I really want to make some pictures with this set
Paul Rubens has a line of tube watercolors and their granulated colors are TO DIE FOR. I have some of their paints from the tube line and i am very please with the result. If you ever want to try the tubes please start from B112 and B214, that is the brown granulates to blue and purple granulates to pink.
Watching the video they all seemed to be fine except for the browns, as you said. If you look at the video after the coal black dried, it looks a little like you painted an eye. These paints are very affordable and if I purchased them, how you showed their lightfastness was very helpful. Hope you paint a painting with them and show us one day. Thank you
it seems they are using blue wool scale based on the fact that most lightfast is 8, and BW is an 8 scale system. Are you planing to do your own lightfastnes test ? I would be really curious to see an update after someone would put them on south facing widow for a few months :D On one hand i do realize great products cost way less to produce than what they are sold for, but every time there is a new company on a horizon I like to wait till someone confirms the "honesty" (for lack of better word) of their lightfastness rating.
Oh! This brand! Thank you for the review(There are so little of them) They have a very wide range of colors(They even have a bunch of pastels) and they released some colors that seem to mimic certain Daniel Smith colors(Like Moonglow, Shadow violet, Cascade green and Rose of Ultramarine)
I'm not sure about Aliexpress, but you can find them open stock in Taobao(Tho, you might need a shopping proxy to buy from them)Hope more listings appear on Aliexpress so they are more accessible for everyone.
@@joyousruby2967 Hello! Sorry for the late reply. I don't think you can get these colors in a set, they are selling these speciality colors only in 18ml tubes. I just saw them on Aliexpress. Now that I see it closely, it looks more simmilar to Imperial purple than rose of ultramarine(Said color is B214) Hope it helps!
Just watched your video and see you hate excess wrapping. Don't hate on your package when you see the tape...it was a way to give you some extra washi tape! ^_^ Thank you for another informative video.
Thank you for this video! Not only am I learning about the colors and brands of paints, but also starting to understand more about such things as granulation and other vocabulary of watercolor (yes, I am a beginner in this!).
thank you for your review, much more informative than some other real artists. Nice to have a review based in the UK. Have you tested the Light Fastness of these colours and if so which ones would you change for better ones in the set. Paynes Grey - DS is better. Which Quin ROse would you buy to replace the Paul Rubens one ? Thanks in advance ! x
Hi Oto, thanks for this video! I’m loving this set really much, how cool it is!? And that Payne’s gray is really gorgeous used as indigo. As italian I do have one thing to say though, I must correct the Pozzu(o)li color name, which is missing the O in the name. I would love to make a review of these paints in Italian for my channel and my followers!
Dodgy may be a good point. Thank you for your research. I noticed that they misprinted Burnt Sienna and Burnt Umber also. Have you tried their metallics yet. I was curious about these too.
Fantastic value, large proportion of single pigments, nice LF ratings and good price with a bonus of a nice protected tin. Excellent starter set. You can make some lovely greens with black and yellow 😉
I actually got them on a whim on Amazon, but when I got them they were on sale with free shipping. So, I took a gamble with them. I love the opaque color to them and am still testing them out!
I got this set from AliExpress and I'm a bit curious if it's the same as the one on Amazon. I'm a beginner so I don't know much but the quality of the paper wrapping each paint looks kind of shady to me, like if it's not the "original". Anyone made the comparison?
I’ve been looking at these since about January or December and they are so tempting with cute box colors. Now I’m watching your video and I’m worried I’m goin to like them! 😬😩 PS: Yet another great and informative review and, of course, now I want them. I may have to wait for either Christmas or next year because my art imaginary budget (imaginary, since I don’t follow it) was exhausted months ago (which didn’t stop me from buying supplies) and now I have the guilt that i have more supplies than time which is still not near too much since there’s no such thing as too many art supplies.
Hello, "paul rubens" is from the same "brand" of "pretty excellent" and "o.win" paints, all of them are from "shanghai aowen art materials". Could you tell me the difference between them?
yeah they were a surprise to me too. They mix nicely as well from what I have played with so far. (but that's been limited as I've been busy making this video)
Yup! I really enjoy these colors! Thanks for the great review. I just saw the tubes on Ali Express as well. I am also enjoying the handmade paints I purchased from you! Thank you so much!
@@mariapop779 I just ordered them today. When you get on the Ali Express site search for Paul Rubens watercolor. It should bring up the pan selections and the tube set. I think they are calling it a floral set. It comes with a pink square tin to make a portable pan set. It is 24 tubes for $32. And some odd cents. 12ml tubes
@@mariapop779 Oh my gosh! That is a pity. Well. I will let you know how my order arrives and what is in it when it gets here. Thanks for the heads up. At least I know what to expect. The description is very confusing. They are listed as tubular? The pans look like they were filled by hand. Of course it shows the 24 tubes on the site. Needless to say I would prefer the tubes. The little box does not look practical.
I have been looking at the smaller set of 12 Paul Rubens, also in the cute pink livery for a young talented family member, hoping they would be nice as really it would make a perfect 'girly' gift....
Exactly what I think about this set of paints. Rubens has many earthtone colors, but only few of them are relatively good, for example: A335 - Indian Red - PR101 (actually this one looks quite like real burnt sienna, not as orange as regular PR101 version) ; and their "Burnt sienna (A333/A334)" is actually a mixture of PR101 and PBr7 . Most of their eathtone colors are really "gluey" and not saturated ecough. But, their Turquoise Light (E292, PB36) is the best , and their China Red (B229, PR254,very very staining) is quite intense, also their Permanent Orange (B254, PO73, very very staining) is even more saturated than Daniel Smith's PO73.
///^_^/// Please do! I don't have all their colors, but only 24 set in pans and some loose tubes. However, I think all their single-pigmented, bright and saturated colors are worth trying. I also love their blacks, which are very intense and good for black-and-white drawing, even manga. But, their raw sienna (B263, PY42), pozoulli red (B318, PR101, as you said), cassel umber (B260, PBr7, a cold-tone dark brown, a great shade but...) are the worst three, in my judgment, so far. They are not pigmented enough, and I feel very difficult to achieve a smooth look - I even tried to apply them with a tiny little bit of rubbing alcohol to reduce the "glueiness", but this still does not work.
I think the key problem is shipping. I got them through www.taobao.com(a Chinese version of ebay.com), for I am living in China and the shipping fee is around 8 RMB (1.14 USD) within this country. A 18ml tube usually costs 16-80 RMB (≈2.29-11.43 USD) , shipping fees not included, which is rather cheap, but I think the international shipping service can be expensive. And most of the Chinese online stores do not ship abroad. An int'l air parcel within 1 kg from China to the US usually cost about 25-30 USD (to Canada, minus 5 USD; to the UK, plus 0.6 USD) as far as I know. -- So if you don't mind such an int'l postage and you trust me, I can buy them for you and post them to where you are. Their vibrant colors (Cadmiums, Quinacridones, Phthalos, Turquoise, etc) are quite good, I think. ///^_^///
Heeeyyy PY83....aka Scheveningen Yellow Deep by Old Holland and....not available from any other brands. These colours all look very nice and bright on the page, they didn't look so promising in the pans.
Really very good information. I am a beginner, and glad to came across your channel, which is really unique in terms of the content and straight forward presentation. The only available watercolor brand in Philippines, which I can buy per tube is Shinhan and Holbein. Can you please recommend me 10 color (tubes) that I can play around? Thank you very much.
You cant compare schmincke with something. They are the best... i have senelier, and Windsor and newton to. And of these 2. I prefer senelier. I never use Wilson and newton anymore. Hard to rowed. If i want Rubens, they look not bad, but the shipping costs a ton... so i stick to my smincke.
Another fantastic video! These look wonderful. I was curious if you've tried the Daniel Smith Quinophthalone Yellow, PY138? I came across it the other day and was sort of surprised that I hadn't heard it mentioned before. The Daniel Smith website and their youtube video from 2010 calls it a "Limited Edition" color and yet it's still available at Jackson's and all the major retailers. I checked the handprint site and he mentions PY138 but it was years ago before the Daniel Smith Quinopthalone Yellow appeared. At the time the only single pigment was available from Rowney Artists as "Permanent Yellow." It looks like a good replacement for Aerolin? I just think it'd be interesting to see it compared to other yellows in that field. Also because I'm really curious about this other, other "QUIN" Thanks again!
I am thinking about getting myself a set of more professional watercolors for my birthday next month and being on a limited budget, I think this will be a great option. I currently use Koi and Gansai Tambi, so am I correct in thinking that this would be an improvement?
Definitely, I have used Koi in the past and these seem to be very vibrant ans smooth. If you are unsure I would recommend (if there are any) YT videos where people use these in a painting.
Great review! I'm curious that how do you think if those Paul Rubens watercolors are compared to those Turner artists watercolours? As we all can see, both of their price are quite afordable
oh Paul Rubens hands down in terms of painting with them. I don't yet know about the lightfastness and stuff yet, but PB goes down so much more smoother than turner ones do.
hello there. ive been asking this question around on youtube seems no one answer me im sad. is pastel watercolor is just gouache paint? as watercolor supposedly to be highly transparent, and gouache distinctively different fr watercolor for its opacity, because of added chalk? thank you
Hi, Pastel colors can come in normal watercolors as well. And you get bright colors in gouache as well. Gouache on the whole is more opaque than watercolors. They can have chalk, talk or titanium dioxide added to create the opacity.
See the Frugal Crafters review of the Pretty Excellent watercolor set. As of today it is under 15 dollars on Amazon. Lindsey, the Frugal Crafter, says the watercolors are just as good as Reuben's watercolors and, in fact, may actually be a knock off of, and from, Reuben's.
The last line on the wrapper (where the pigment code and lightfastness info are listed) actually indicates the transparency of each colour. Just a FYI.
I apologize Oto I know this is an older video so i'm not sure if you will even see this comment, but have you done or could you do a video talking just about pigments itself?
I love the packaging and the colors inside, I appreciate that the brand is doing something different than the standard black palette. On the other hand bing that pretty means I will be hesitant bringing it with me on trips- then again I never go anywhere so its not a issue after all. Very tempting to pick up a plate since it is pretty affordable compared to other brand, will see what happens (my poor empty wallet is already sobbing).

I don’t know if you experienced it or not, but you forgot to mention that it’s shiny in mass tone like kuretake
Thank You!
Very informative, thankyou
I was waiting for a good review of these paints ordered them right after i saw your vid they are gonna be a great upgrade from my cottman 12 pan set so many single pigment colors!
Thanks a lot. I live in Brazil and D Smith, Holbein and Senelier are very expensive here. Paul Rubens is an available option. Great!
Thank you for this review. I’m new to watercoloring and there’s so many different sets from which to choose!
This may be a nice set for portraits/skin tones, based on the neutrals, reds, and less cauliflowering or granulation.
THAT SOUNDS AMAZING. Thank you for the info!
Dr. Oto Kano this is the 4 granulated colors

Great review, thank you. I have been looking at this set for a few weeks now and am almost close to picking it up. Your review helped!
It's a beautiful set. The Burnt Brown looks like Sepia. I prefer full pans but these do look nice and they have round edges.
Thank you
I will try once I shift this cold! :)
I bought the metallic set last month and Im madly in love with them. My next purchase is this. Even the tin and packaging make me feel all special lol
it seems they are using blue wool scale based on the fact that most lightfast is 8, and BW is an 8 scale system.
Got these for my birthday and can't wait to try them. Thanks for the thorough swatches and review.
Oh! This brand! Thank you for the review(There are so little of them) They have a very wide range of colors(They even have a bunch of pastels) and they released some colors that seem to mimic certain Daniel Smith colors(Like Moonglow, Shadow violet, Cascade green and Rose of Ultramarine)
woooooo I am going to have to see where we can buy them open stock :) Thanks for the info che!
I'm not sure about Aliexpress, but you can find them open stock in Taobao(Tho, you might need a shopping proxy to buy from them)Hope more listings appear on Aliexpress so they are more accessible for everyone.
Which colour in set is comparable to.rose of ultramarine ??
@@joyousruby2967 Hello! Sorry for the late reply. I don't think you can get these colors in a set, they are selling these speciality colors only in 18ml tubes. I just saw them on Aliexpress. Now that I see it closely, it looks more simmilar to Imperial purple than rose of ultramarine(Said color is B214) Hope it helps!
These look very good! I'm a fan of these colors and they seem like a great set to have for an intermediate watercolor artist like myself.
I think it is perfect, and very affordable :)
Great review! Just wonder if that swatch sheet with the pigment numbers come with the set? If not, might you consider sharing it?
How do you feel this lines up to mission gold
Just watched your video and see you hate excess wrapping. Don't hate on your package when you see the tape...it was a way to give you some extra washi tape! ^_^ Thank you for another informative video.
lmao I have no problem with wrapping done lovingly by friends :D
Thank you for this video! Not only am I learning about the colors and brands of paints, but also starting to understand more about such things as granulation and other vocabulary of watercolor (yes, I am a beginner in this!).
The hooker's green is surprisingly transparent. I thought chrome ox green was completely opaque.
I'm curious about that one too!
thank you for your review, much more informative than some other real artists.
Really hope you get to make a review of this palette in Italian, it's awesome palette that's affordable.
Yes, please do it 🙏🙏🙏 There's still no italian review on these!
Dodgy may be a good point. Thank you for your research. I noticed that they misprinted Burnt Sienna and Burnt Umber also. Have you tried their metallics yet. I was curious about these too.
Thank you for doing this! Even with the reservations you had with some of the colors I think I will give this a try.
I'm glad you like this set Shayla. It's a great set full of bright colors. Really hope you enjoy using this set :)
Fantastic value, large proportion of single pigments, nice LF ratings and good price with a bonus of a nice protected tin. Excellent starter set. You can make some lovely greens with black and yellow 😉
I’m new to your channel. Thanks for the excellent review and your sound comparisons are so valuable. Thank you
This was an excellent review. It was very, very helpful. I was on the fence about these paints, but now I am liking them.
Thank you for this, I just ordered it!!
I actually got them on a whim on Amazon, but when I got them they were on sale with free shipping. So, I took a gamble with them. I love the opaque color to them and am still testing them out!
Was just about to try these paints! Your videos are always all so timely:)
Glad you enjoyed the video Av :D
Dr. Oto Kano of course, haha! your videos are always massively enjoyable:)
I'm not even halfway through the video yet and I'm already loving the vibrancy of some of the colours you're swatching
I love the entire set! Would love to paint with them but my pallet is full.
I think paul rubens burnt sienna looks like burnt umber? What do you think?
I have been looking at these on Ali, almost bought a set to review. :) Might be time to stop procrastinating.
I really hope you enjoy painting with this set when you get it Arty :)
I got this set from AliExpress and I'm a bit curious if it's the same as the one on Amazon. I'm a beginner so I don't know much but the quality of the paper wrapping each paint looks kind of shady to me, like if it's not the "original". Anyone made the comparison?
How did you accidentally paint Clint Eastwood's left eye in the Coal Black swatch? 😉
Thank you for this review and information. I've heard that they have many more colors than just the 24. Can they be purchased as single colors?
Excellent review, Oto!
Very thorough examination, and you painted an eye, a left one, in the coal black swab, wow, you are good ! Suscribing now.
Are these watercolors for students, intermediate artists or professionals? 🙂
I’ve been looking at these since about January or December and they are so tempting with cute box colors. Now I’m watching your video and I’m worried I’m goin to like them! 😬😩
PS: Yet another great and informative review and, of course, now I want them.
I agree with you aygo, there's no such thing as too many art supplies :D
;) I agree. I confess, I stopped buying new clothes, and instead would purchase art supplies, so my wardrobe is pitiful but my supplies are gorgeous!
Fantastic review! I love PY35 with PB27 it makes a beautiful Prussian Green. Daniel Smith used to use that combo, but switched to PY97.
woooo I am going to have to try that blend, thank you!
Hello, "paul rubens" is from the same "brand" of "pretty excellent" and "o.win" paints, all of them are from "shanghai aowen art materials". Could you tell me the difference between them?
Wow, those look nicer than I'd have expected. How well do they mix?
yeah they were a surprise to me too. They mix nicely as well from what I have played with so far. (but that's been limited as I've been busy making this video)
Nothing about Winsor & Newton 🤔 Don't you like them ? You convinced me about this palette 🙋♀️😍 Thank's 😘
So this would be a good starter set for some one just starting out in water colors. Nice video. Love Terri Simmers.
Great review, I woulf like to know how it lifts and is it staining. Great price.
I love my set of 24 so much, that I also bought the 48 colors set. On Amazon.
It's an excellent review about color and compare with another brands , thanks for it ❤️
Very thorough review!
Yup! I really enjoy these colors! Thanks for the great review. I just saw the tubes on Ali Express as well. I am also enjoying the handmade paints I purchased from you! Thank you so much!
woooo I will have to go check them out! Thanks for the heads up Mary.
I looked for the tubes on aliexpress but couldn't find any.
12ml tubes
@@marykayparker4144 I've seen that but read the description .you don't get the full tube set just those half pans in that pink tin though.such a pity!
Very excellent review. Thank you.
Great paint at a great price! I got one and love it!
But, their Turquoise Light (E292, PB36) is the best , and their China Red (B229, PR254,very very staining) is quite intense, also their Permanent Orange (B254, PO73, very very staining) is even more saturated than Daniel Smith's PO73.
ohhhh you're making me want to try more of their colors :D
X. LI I bought a set on Amazon and have been trying to find out how to purchase more colors. Do you know where you can buy additional colors or tubes?
Renee Stearns A Chinese app called taobao.
Should I consider it a upgrade form cotman or even Lukas studio?
Seems like a good set for suggesting to students. Good control plus decent value for the money
Gosto muito de seus videos. Parabéns e obrigada.💐🤩
one or two nice colours in that set ill look out them in tubes
Great detailed review! TFS.😘👍🏾
Did you ever find tubes or even individual pans from this brand?
You cant compare schmincke with something. They are the best... i have senelier, and Windsor and newton to. And of these 2. I prefer senelier. I never use Wilson and newton anymore. Hard to rowed. If i want Rubens, they look not bad, but the shipping costs a ton... so i stick to my smincke.
Interesting findings on this brand,’ and excellent solid review! 😊👍
Thank you so much :)
Why there isn't white?
My pozuoli r ochre didn't granulate at all.wentbon very smooth.may be a bad batch
Also because I'm really curious about this other, other "QUIN"
Thanks again!
No I haven't! I noticed that this color wasn't on their big 240 color dot card, but that's all I know so far. I'll keep my eyes peeled for it!
Thanks! I did find it on Jackson's here: danielsmith.com/quinophthalone-yellow-15ml-tube-daniel-smith-extra-fine-watercolor/ I might check it out.
woooo if you do, I'd love to know what you think of it :)
Oh YES. You will absolutely notice a difference from those two brands. The colors are strong, goes on smoothly and not chalky.
Thank you for your opinion, very helpful.
I replaced my Prussian blue with cobalt teal
hello there.
ive been asking this question around on youtube seems no one answer me im sad.
is pastel watercolor is just gouache paint?
as watercolor supposedly to be highly transparent,
and gouache distinctively different fr watercolor for its opacity, because of added chalk?
thank you
Hi, Pastel colors can come in normal watercolors as well.
I found transparency information of this Product, but not from an official website of the producent...Please check if it is correct, thank you:)Pigment information for the colors in 24 colors set:

hmmmmm I don't agree with some of those assessments, for example, Madder Red and Sea Blue is definitely transparent.
Really hope you get to try this palette, it's a great set and as you say, great value for money.
Amazing review
These look so beautiful for the price hey. I love the look of it, but not enough pink 💕
Is it rude for me to ask what kind of doctor you are? I'm just an inquisitive person sorry. New subscriber as you can tell lols x
i bought the 36 tube set i love mine
