Bummer about the previous two versions being blocked ... I'm actually surprised it was this one that wasn't blocked as it came from the BBC live stream and the BBC tend to always block things.
I'm glad you have seen better versions and heard how it should sound (and I know you have the PIA Arena performance you reacted to a month ago too).
Glastonbury isn't a festival we would normally recommend for a couple of reasons. The girls and the Kami Band put on a great show (of course they did, they always do), but the BBC live stream audio was mostly horrible with microphones working intermittently or not turned on - including the one for the second bass drum.
The sound was OK for the crowd there on the day, it was the BBC live stream that messed up.
Talking about the crowd - Glastonbury is the biggest pop and main stream music festival and the tickets sell out in a couple of days, long before the line up is announced. No BABYMETAL fans will have been able to get tickets, especially as they were a late addition to the line up.
The vast majority of people going are very much pop and mainstream music fans (Coldplay have headline about 9 times now - Kyile Minogue was headlining this stage at the end of the day). Very few will be metal fans - very few will probably ever listen to metal normally ... virtually none will have ever heard of BABYMETAL before they turned up.
As BABYMETAL crowds go this was one of the worst. I'm sure they were all enjoying what they were seeing and hearing (they even formed a small circle pit which must be a first ever at Glastonbury), but they didn't know the songs, they didn't know to follow the girls' lead when to jump and sing along etc.
This was at the start of BABYMETAL's 2019 tour. On Friday and Saturday they played the first two concerts at Yokohama Arena. After coming off stage on Saturday they went straight to the airport and flew over night half way round the world to London, landing Sunday morning. From there they drove half way across England to Glastonbury (in the English west country) and they were on stage at 12.30pm.
These girls work hard, you wouldn't have known any of that - they still had the same energy as ever.
They played in London 2 days later and were back in Japan at the end of the week playing two more big arena shows celebrating Moametal's 20th birthday.
'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way (ie the path of least resistance) or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way.
It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy road to follow.

👍👍It's BABYMETAL, so I love it. I believe this is the first time I have seen this version. Thanks for your efforts. WOW, the 3rd member (don't know her name) was breathing heavy at the end. 🦊 🖖❤

Yes, Su and Moa look like they haven't even started the show yet. That was Riho. It was only her second show with BABYMETAL, she'd played on the Friday, Kano did Saturday - both in Yokohama. This was Sunday and she was the Avenger in Brixton on Tuesday too.

    👍 👍
    Enjoying your BABYMETAL journey.
Glastonbury as most people here would agree is one of our least favorite venues that these young ladies and their Kami's have played as the BBC who was in charge of the Festival did a poor job with sound production (mics not turned, incorrect volume levels etc.). Also Glastonbury is a Pop centered Festival and the crowd was not as shall we say into the performance like most crowds are.😉

I think the producers know that too . I did 2 other live videos of this song, both blocked.

Great reaction. You should react to Tales Of The Destinies, Syncopation, From Dusk Till Dawn, Brand New Day, Starlight - Shine (Legend M) - Arkadia (Trilogy Of Lights)
You can find the videos in the links below
For LIVE I suggest that you use the videos on the Babymetal Reactor Resource ruclips.net/video/q40VmTHSh4c/видео.html
There's more information in the description of that video
There's also this channel with great-quality videos www.youtube.com/@Hymnodic/videos

Dismissed anything from Glastonbury, bad sound mix in general, the girls always shine of course.
