Lucky that you were able to get enough windows of the same size, great video. Im using sliding glass doors sourced for free on CL. They are different sizes but I will frame them in a similar way.
I'd never think you'd need to reach out the a city for a non permant structure that is so small. I recently built a greenhouse and that didn't even cross my mind lol.
@@1FishinAddict In Leeds Alabama there is a city worker who drives around all day in a small green pick up truck looking for the suckers with saw horses in their yard who did not go get a permit. Then you get the fine plus the privilege of buying a permit depending on your attitude. You can be turned down just because, but the fine is still good.
Been looking for a good option for laying a solid greenhouse foundation for a while that didn't involve laying concrete. I considered cinderblocks, but they don't seem to assist the overall structure, even when adequately sunken into the ground. The rebar through the 4x4s is the perfect solution I've been looking for! Thanks!
No problem! I built this to be non permanent. I did not want to lay a salad either. An additional step you can take is painting the 4x4 in tar to make it more water resistant
Gorgeous! Instead of changing the windows could you add roof vents? I am wanting to do a greenhouse but I feel like roof vents are going to be a must due to heat in my area.
Wow! This is definitely the most beautiful greenhouse on RUclips! Are the windows double pane or single? How many did you paid for the windows? Thank you for sharing!
I have a question. You talk about the wind going up and over to help cool the greenhouse. Did you have to place the greenhouse in a specific direction to achieve that? Thank you.
Well done!! I like the look and the instructions and videos of how you built it were so helpful. I'm curious now though --- how do you use it? Start plants in the spring to transplant outside? Do you keep plants in the ground at all? I've never had a greenhouse, but want one, but not sure how to best utilize it. I'm thinking of a short wall - maybe two feet and build the windows on top of that. Maybe I'm missing out, but why did you decide to go clear to the ground with windows?
Thanks so much and great questions! I used windows all the way to the ground so the beds are getting max sunlight but you could totally build walls like most greenhouses you probably see. I use it for all of the things you mentioned. It’s great for gardening off seedlings and we harvested potatoes this year which you can see from last months video! Lots of great possibilities!

Yea don't have to. But the city won't turn down the fees for permit, bet you they giggled and wonder who the sucker was.....Now they know lol.
it totally depends on your city, you may not have to

Yes! I’m still trying to figure that out but would definitely recommend as many vents as you can. I may actually use the extra windows in the roof!
Wonderful build and great explanation!!
Glad you enjoyed!

Wow thank you! 🤩 they are single pained windows. Got them from someone whose husband replaced Windows. Got luck with a whole house replacement!
I love your content ❤
Why thank you 🤩

yes you would. i believe i mention it in the video but your prevaling wind is the normal direction of your wind, where storms normally come from
