Honestly I was pretty surprised he said Luke was his favorite, I always thought it was Haley. They have such a great relationship.
I think this is one of the reasons Phil gets so angry and offended when he does actually catch people out in their lies cus a lot of the people in that house always be playing him like this

I used the "I was always here" tactic, quite a few times. Once I was gone, out of state for a whole month. My mother thought she just missed me in passing.

(Ex: "Hi, Mom. Just wondering if you knew where the remote was. Or.... "Hi, Momma. Just wanted to let you know that I was working a double.) I never did anything illegal or dangerous, so I never had to worry too much about getting caught. 😁 But had she found out.... Even now, if she were still here, she'd NEVER know. I like living too much.😄

I know Phil isn't the smartest book on the shelf but if yall have ever stayed up super late or been tired and not able to fall asleep you know how loopy you can get. My friends and I wohkd say the most random weird things if we stayed up till 3AM playing games or even just talking on a call.

My best friend nearly got us both murdered one night she didn't realize my dad was back from work and threw rocks at my Dam window asking me to sneak out in like Are you insane getfo dude dad is coming up the stairs like rn! Go run! I shut the window and my head legit hit that pillow and I was pretending to be asleep one second before he opened my bedroom door asking what the hell that noise was! Only time I ever lied to my dad and I actually pulled it off too 😂
No matter how fckup your kids are, they will have an anchor to put them back on the right path because of parents like Phil and Claire. Sure they’ll make mistakes, but they’ll definitely learn and be better.
