This song helped me through a painful relationship break up 30 years ago. Now its stuck in my head again. What an incredible piece of poetry! This version is awesome.
No words for this,incredible, amazing,wonderful,astonishing…
People used to ask what I saw in Lou, my answer was "nothing, but I hear everything ".
One of the best moments in Lou's last years. Reminds me of sister ray with the same quality.
Master piece❤
That ad in the middle of the solo is sacrilege
Please moreee from this concert! it's incredible!
Great music, great performance. Love that snare sound.
Oooh, that saxophone thrown in the mix. Great stuff.
What a incredible song
LOVE that guitar tone during the solo.
This is a gem. Thank you so much for sharing.
(...plus I think I fell in love with Tony. Again. WHAT A DRUMMER!!!! Sheer taste & elegance.)
thanks for checking it out!
@@Endlesssummer1 my all-time favorite Lou Reed band was the one I have been lucky enough to see most times live: Lou Reed, Fernando Saunders, Tony Smith and Mike Rathke. So minimal and yet so powerful! I must admit the concept of the 2-guitars-and-rock-solid-rhythm-section did leave a deep influence on me.
The band in the video was probably a very special occasion setup, but to me is on par with the very best. Beautiful, tasteful, powerful.
@@SBGNYC you gave a setlist of a performace we cant see?
Isnt that just a act to teasing folks?
Ppñppppñññpppppppñpñp
Was there
This is the Metal Machine no wave noise rock version...... Brilliant!
Would love to hear Zorn playing Waves of Fear with this band.

Fuck. I started to cry when he gave a hug to Zorn.
I saw guys enjoy do music.
wow! i cranked it and i'm on round 3.
Slow it to .75 speed and it really brings out nuances and even more, just how great this is.
Wow, what a wondrous version.
Fantastic thanks lou ❤
man, that's what it's all about.
very high level
One of the few times a saxophone player worked perfectly with Lou.
Gen, Amen
This shitt issss craaaazy!!!!!
Awesome upload, thank you
One of his lasts pieces of life music, for the musicians under us it would be so good to be inspired by this complete concert and others or was it really his last? For the rest of humanity who can not play or sing, it's important to have the cure of this compositions.
badddddassss!!!!!!!!
My 2nd fave Lou album ( Animal #1) Of course it helps when you've had cancer! - Wait what did i just say???
Damn that's awesome. Did Zorn play the whole show or just this song? And no mention that Hunter is playing!? Holy cow the talent on that stage. Can the whole show be found anywhere? I can't imagine Zorn and Hunter playing on all the previous songs, or the encores. Please where is this show?
Why didn’t I find it before ?
What a beauty.. where is the rest of the concert ?
🔥
Music in Reed.
What else? no else
"Guardian Angel" from this show? Please
Electricity. At 9:55, I thought I was witnessing an exorcism.
This is Far Out
i use earplugs, god sound
Roland ;-) lange her, so etwa 16 Jahre
I swear I'm ready to vomit🤮 that's just how sick this tune is 😆😆😆😆
I don't really understand the goodness of this drummer that Lou Reed continued to use in later years.
Tony "Thunder" Smith was and hopefully still is straight up freight train of a drummer
