I flew on one of these last month. It will forever be etched in my memory as it was my first widebody, my first transatlantic and my first 747. we specifically booked virgin because they run economy seats on the upper deck, and to sit on the upper deck of a 747 was a lifelong dream that I never thought I'd have, since I don't have thousands to spend on first class. The flights were significantly more expensive than the same on a BA 747... but that would have meant I had to fly BA. I would like to at some point, if only for the fact their 747s use RR RB211 engines, but BA has slipped so far down the charts I won't be expecting much better than easyjet service across the atlantic.
When I was younger I flew on Virgin Atlantic (G-VROY) and I remember the crew letting me, once we landed, sit in the pilot's seat and press some of the buttons! The crew and food was amazing, so that's why I love Virgin Atlantic so much.
Flew to barbados with Virgin twice on their 747-400! Both times an incredible experience! I also flew to barbados with tui as well on the dreamliner. But was nowhere near as good as virgin! Next time i go to the caribbean my first choice will always be virgin!

No way would I get on an old aircraft like that done that 20 years ago to visit my sis in Miami. I would only consider long haul on An Airbus 380 Best plane in the world. Thanks for the video though I did enjoy it
just because its older doesn't mean its not safe. there are plenty of aircraft that will get you to miami, a330/a340/a350/767/777/787. glad you liked the video
MT Aviation yes I know that the aircraft has to have the adequate airworthy certification And I have 100% Faith in every pilot I’ve flown with it comes down to personal choice..Not that I know anything but I choose to believe for some reason don’t know why Airbus technology is the best in the world and if I’m spending a lot of money to travel a long way The big 380 is my dream plane.everytime I see one in the sky as I live just outside Manchester I’m in awe of this magnificent plane. I was a nervous flyer after e turbulent flight once but watching you videos is curing my silly phobias so keep the films coming thanks.

Interesting that Virgin refitted the Economy seats on this particular bird. She was previously a LHR config aircraft, so had the old IFE system with the remote and tiny box screens. This system here is actually newer than the screens on all the other current VS747s. Funnily enough though, PE on this aircraft still has the old style seats and entertainment.
Are the seats good? Are they comfortable? And another question, can you adjust the seat angle? What position of the seat did you used to sleep? If you can adjust the seats backways, how can the person of the back watch? Please answer all of my question!
Seats are comfy Yes you can adjust seats A sort of slumber position for sleeping The person behind can tilt their screen upwards in a case where the person infront has reclined their seat Hopefully I've answered all of your questions

Hello, I have an issue, it's my first trip out of Colombia and I am traveling to Madrid, i have an escalation in Atlanta because I thought that being in the airport would not be a problem as i don't have a visa to USA, So now, i need to change that and I don't know how, I need to talk to someone to help me with this, please.
we do try but as we fly on easy jet and ryanair most of the time we don't feel the need to do every flight. We have done them on virgin, BA, Etihad, TUI, Thomas Cook, Qantas, Singapore Airlines and more so check them out of you want
You can't charge your electrical equipment on most of these old aircraft because the electrical wiring on these planes are so old and predate modern phones, tablets and laptops. At least, not in economy. These old 747s may hold sentimental value for some, but given a modern plane any day.

Virgin Atlantic is one of my favourite airlines. Flew them to Barbados and back last year and they were excellent.

I know it’s an old aircraft but my god those seats look rather uncomfortable to sit in I’d prefer the newer ones
they are relatively new seats as the aircraft only got refurbished a couple of years ago, and they were reasonably comfortable to be honest
