On day 11 of eating whole, organic foods. No sugar. Organic berries, vegetables, eggs, quinoa, chicken. My glucose has stabilized and I am no longer constantly hungry. I am a cancer survivor. I’m sorry that it’s so expensive to eat this way. I live in an area where I have easy access to these foods. There are so many food deserts where the only option is ultra processed and that’s also the only affordable option.
@Villa4life2024 I do eat whole foods most of the time. Anything prepared in the kitchen can be cooked and put together. That by itself is processed. It's what these big companies are adding to it for shelf life that's dangerous to us. The commercials they have for it makes it sound like superfood. It's not. Things with fiber that feed the microbiome are superfluous. We just have to figure out this as individuals.
It's crazy how the money is more important than the people consuming the dangerous foods. They are selling them to our kids! Parents are buying it for their kids like dummies! I hate it when a Parent says they are eating right yet buying their kids cokes.
Low fat and sugar free Ultra Processed Food hasn't made us slim. Basic food crops such as corn, wheat and potatoes are disassembled into their molecular parts, starchy flours, protein isolates, fats and oils or what manufacturers call slurries. It sends signals to the brain that food is on the way, but the low level food parts isn't what the brain expects, and you remain hungry. I can eat a family size bag of potato chips and still feel hungry. Baked potato not so much. Whole food tends to leave you satiated (full). The next time you are hungry after eating, think about whether you had Ultra Processed Food or whole food. You get so many calories a day. Spend them wisely.
Not everything needs to be organic!!! Look up “the dirty dozen” foods on google and you’ll get a list of 12 foods. Those are the only ones you have to get organic for. Else just stick to simple minimally processed foods that have very few (or just 1) ingredient and no “natural flavors” or seed oils or added sugars
It probably won't kill you. It might have an accumulative effect, and I'm no pro/expert, but I firmly believe that the Ultra-Processed if far and away more harmful.

It’s sad people need to be told this.
It should be common sense
It is sad S.A.D. (standard American diet)
I’m sure you don’t eat a fully unprocessed food diet

In a slow degenerative way, yes. Be alert and proactive in your choices. Dig deeper.
No, nonorganic food is not going to kill you. Do your own research.
