Thanks for the video training! My brother-in-law has Parkinson's and so has problems with muscle response regarding balance, would this help? The problem is that signals from his brain are not properly controlling his muscles. He wants to do the exercise, but feels that this may not stop his falling since his muscles won't respond quick enough. I wonder if you've worked with people with Parkinson's and if these exercises could improve the problem, would love your advice.
I would recommend he work with a local PT who would be able to develop an individualized exercise program. In the meantime, here is another video that may help you, good luck and best wishes to your brother in law ruclips.net/video/effXAxgxXb0/видео.html
Thank you. I have a leg length imbalance which may be the cause of one foot being supinated(shorter leg) and the other leg being pronated. My podiatrist said he had never seen such a difference in his many years of practice. At 64, this and scoliosis are starting to cause a lot of injuries and pain. Really getting more difficult to balance on the supinated foot. I recently fell just getting up from playing on the carpet with my granddaughter. My right leg is also having some knee issues and buckling now. I’m wondering how to enhance balance when foot is so supinated. Weak arch in both feet. Also bone spurs in big toe which makes getting up harder. I used to be so active and in recent years, pain has curtailed my activity greatly. A lot of imbalances and tons of high impact aerobics from age 20-55. Paying for it now. Thanks!
Hello there, thanks for the question. If you are not already, I would work with a local Physical Therapist first to help you with all of these issues. One thing that will help flexibility but is often over looked is foot mobility. You can try this exercise to check the movement of the outer part of the foot ruclips.net/video/GpgqVjq2zXk/видео.html Also, I would work with a massage therapist and them focus on your hips, legs, and feet to regain mobility. As you feet become more mobile, your balance will improve. Also, with a scoliosis, you may need to focus on stretching of the quadratus lumborum, here is a video ruclips.net/video/fbzub0TODBw/видео.html Good luck and best wishes

Great Video - able to do first few - but have a LONG way to go! Question - testing fall four ways - find where I catch myself - but if no support to do so - what next? Thanks in advance
Hello Glen, great question. Always want to be safe first so a hallway or corner works well. Try that and let me know if it helps, good luck and be safe!

Do you also have keg strengthening exercises from a wheelchair or chair? I'm going to be Baptized when the pool opens up at the motel and I have to be able to walk down the steps into the water. Thanks so much
OOPS! Guess I worded my question incorrectly. If no support available - such as the situation where I am walking along a sidewalk, where there is no support available, and the closest person is about 6 feet away and thus can not assist me, guess I have to learn how to fall correctly - how do I do that please?
Thanks ---- my falls started when ( drinking for 60 years ) I have Ataxia ---- from that. But the VA, Neuroligist told be " you have Ataxia( drunk walking ) in Greek. But know you now what's Going on -- get balance ( as above ).. thinking I'm a Dr, said never heard of Ataxia ---- He said Most Ataxia people have to be like you above 68 yrs --- and get the falling Ataxia " but Dr never heard about Ataxia-------- He says " most drunks don't get to 68 !! You did🤣😃😂😁
Hello Adam, you need to slowly work up to that. For example, just try to keep your eyes closed for ~2 seconds, then open them up again. Also, work on single leg balance with eyes open until you can do it for >30 seconds. Please make sure you are safe! Just keep working at it, changes will come if you are consistent, good luck!
thank you. i work with older people and will def show rthem these and do it with them.

I have difficulty climbing up steps. Any suggestion to improve it. I will be thankful.
If you can get your hips and quads stronger, stairs become easier. Try the bridging exercise to improve hip/glute strength.
Thanks.
