the problem with sparring and why I stopped, is at some point it's much less useful/diminish return in progress to just use 70% of your force. It's just not realistic anymore. the speed isn't there, the threat isn't there. The mentality isn't the same. So you have to dial it to 80, 85, but at that force level, is when you and your sparring partner actual really feel legit buzz when get hit on the head. So for the sake of long term brain health, and you just want to do it for fitness, there is a pretty low ceiling. (anyone says protective gears...no comment)
but how are you supposed to prepare yourself to real fighting scenarios without the active sparring? Even the mentality, or to learn how to read your colleague during the session, priorizing techniques and all with the rush of a real fight speed and movement - at least that is how I think a good sparring is for, and I don't see any other training session work this out...
@@philipeppos I'm not saying there is an alternative if you are serious about it. For me it was for just exercise and health so I stopped. For others with real competition goals, you need to do hard spar. (and real life fighting scenarios , there is real fighting as a sport or real street fighting, extremely different with extremely different things to emphasize)
@@philipeppos I think one should train fighting with light sparring anf then pickup some Judo and Jiu Jitsu. Most of the street fights can be ended if you know Judo -- as you punish the guy by hitting him with the force of mother earth.
@@friedrichmyers lmao youve got a point. never had a knack for jiu jitsu or judo, which is actually pretty much common here in Brazil, you've got a gym for those in every corner. I like aggressive tactical fighting man XD
Quick not3e on the breathing. I expressed frustration with my stamina despite training hard all the time. A guy that studied Jeet Kune do told me that I might be breathing backwards. I inhaled with my stomach going in and exhaled while my stomach went out. Not sure how much difference it made but being relaxed is a big part of stamina. I always got tired twice as fast in fights as I did in sparring.
It is hard to get your hands "tired" because you don't use much of your forearms for striking, you use your shoulder and back muscles. It is like swimming. Do you know why swimmers always have very wide shoulders and big chunks of back muscles?
Depends on ur level rn but on avg u should be running like 2-3 miles for 2 days a week if u are new but if u are advanced run like 4+ miles 2 times a week

Can you do stamina for a fight and do a vid on what you should do in a fight camp. I have my 1st fight in around 5 weeks
Just run and when you tire that when you double the distance you run
good luck man how long ago did you start
Sprints build stamina fast. Search for Gabriel Vargas Sprinting routine.
What do you understand about stamina up to this point?
@@dvally1984You cannot just run. If he tires out after a flurry of punches just running will not help.

Depends what you are trying to achieve?
If you want stamina you cannot exercise endurance. They are completely two different things.
