that had me tearing up a little ngl. the cinematography, the scoring, the design of the ship. the narrative of a grand return to space especially. it all excellent!
This, my good sir, is masterfully done! Splendid cinematography & editing, fitting story, an epic spaceplane and tremendous patience that was put in this production make it truly remarkable. You outdid yourself on this one, congratulations!
This is incredible, it is amazing seeing a channel of this size making content exceeding the quality of some million subscriber channels! Fantastic work, I hope to see more from this channel!
Even making a craft this size is hard, making it stable is ridiculous. Getting it to fly? Not possible, and certainly not past the kerman line.. right? Why are you pitching up? What? How? WHAT? HOW?! Amazing work.
This is one of the most beautiful stock craft designs I've ever seen, incredible! Love those giant duct fans. Very well shot and edited too, it was nice to watch.
I've come back to watch this at least three times this year, that's how impressive this build is. Props for the countless hours slaving away to create such a magnificent spectacle of kerbal engineering.
Utterly amazing work! Great editing, great pacing, great music, and an insane craft. I cannot fathom how many times you had to speed up the footage for this to be usable, let alone get around camera tools breaking when one tries to actively slow the game down. Those huge propellers are also some exquisite sorcery, color me impressed that they don't blow up. Good job! I am looking forward to what you create in the future.
I love your channel and your planes! The central engine cluster on this leviathan looked so cool in the upper atmosphere. It looked like the craft could ride upon that jet alone (I know it actually couldn’t, but god it looked cool). Great vid, you are so underrated!
Honestly, that was really incredible. When the ship lit up all of it's thrusters after going vertical, the musical timing was spot on. Epic design too, so elegant.
this brought a tear to my eye. the lore, the music, the absolutely brilliant design. whatever you're doing to make this kinda content is clearly working, because this is amazing!
3:31 Me: "WHAT!?!? THERE'RE EVEN MORE ENGINES????" Nice work. As someone who loves messing around with stock KSP rotorcraft, I never dreamed someone would make such a huge VTOL using them.
This video is incredibly well-made. It matches the love for details of the SSTO that it showcases. I just wonder, how did you make that awesome creation so solid? Anything that huge should be wobbly as pudding in KSP1.
glad that you enjoyed! sadly, there is a little trick here: the title and the preview say "stock parts SSTO" and not "stock SSTO" for a reason. to be more or less stable this craft needs the Kerbal Joint Reinforcement mod, which, obviously, makes stock wobbly joints much stronger.
@@vanlaukaus Ah I see, I was thinking it was done via autostrut or immense use of struts hidden somewhere. Well, KSP is a great game, but at some points, you need to help it if you want to make something as magnificent as this craft! Keep up the great work!
@@h.a.9880 indeed I will! While it uses KJR, though, it by no means abandons autostrut. In fact, I am pretty sure that every single part of it has both autostrut and rigid attachment turned on - but it is not enough on such a scale.
I was like "Okay, it looks cool, but how the heck would you ever turn that thing, there's no way gyroscopes can manage that ma...". Then the fore thrusters fired and I closed my mouth again. Well done.
When you channel your inner @Stratzenblitz75 , Awesome video! just beautiful also I can't imagine how much work went into making that craft good f*cking job mate ✌
The fact that this thing is so big you not only need motors to spin the props, but you also need vector engines to spin them and on top of that there’s another 20 or more vectors also pushing the craft up is kinda crazy, then the like 40 vector engines on the back with 12 mammoth engines
I'm simply _flabbergasted_ as to _how_ this contraption can take of horizontally with all engines seemingly being in the back. In any other game I'd assume that physics were ignored, but this is Kerbal Space Program, where physics _can't_ be ignored 😯
There are plenty of good comments so I am just going to state the obvious. What is missing from this video is more.... More of the video.... I want twice as long. I want Kerbal cuts showing the kerbals riding up on the ship. I want see like a Pilots prospective flash cut with gauges showing giving the realness to the build and that you actually put this thing into the Kerbin world. I want to see that big @ss thing flying through the debris cloud (if possible) and then trying to get repaired from all the obvious damage lol. Even if there was some wizardry involved this is a very nice looking ship and the attention to detail shows.
“WHY WON’T YOU DIE?”
“Hah. *Autostruts, son.”*
My favorite two things: rocket SSTOs and gargantuan turboprops. Stellar design and video!
yoooo its the game breaker himself!!!!!!!
Thanks as always! Those turboprops were inspired by the ones from your Helicarrier video, by the way!

This guy has too few subscribers, the choice of music, the build quality, the story. Truly one of the greatest KSP videos and builds I have seen
Thank you so much for that! Looks like I'm starting to get somewhere with help of the almighty algorithms.
imagine if Russia had those rockets IRL 😅
You are right he has too few but at least w/ this craft he as got one more me
Ace Combat music is an instant sub from me.
@@Howitzer9 indeed it is
I love the implication that the Kerbals just said "fuck it, we ball" and made a Helicarrier for their test launch.
now this, this is what KSP was always known for. may KSP (1) live on as the home for the best creations in Kerbal history.

This is completely superb and exactly what KSP was made for. My favourite part is definitely 3:30 -- beautifully synchronised to the music, too.

Really good job on choosing a music that fits the lore, Kerbalkind indeed dared to return to space
Loved the shot of all all the planetary surfaces cut to the music, That was excellent.
There is no way this works without infinite fuel (and infinite computing power)!
Phenomenal work!
Unless every inch of internal space was reserved for fuel
the music is perfect, this gorgeous monstrocity is definitely something you'd expect to see in AC
