Nice vid and congrats on the summit. To clarify one point for safety, a self-arrest utilizes the feet as well. Kick in your toes/crampon tips after getting onto the ice axe and coming to rest!
From the instruction I've found on the internet, it's the exact opposite. You're supposed to keep your toes in the air, because if your crampons catch and stop moving your own momentum can injure your ankles or flip onto your back. Once you've come to a complete stop you can kick your toes in for stability.
Nerds unite! Congrats on the summit.
Aside: it seems like we have a lot of similar gear.
Beautiful scenery - would love to hit this mountain!🤙
Congrats! Liked your edit, and using Cathy's mini-lecture as background narration. I may be on that summit in the next month :-)

Your crampons in a self arrest situation is the worse thing to do, quick way to break your ankles and or start tumbling. Never use your crampons
Sorry, my ocd kicked in when you tried to abbreviate Shasta by ending at the T. Writing the A was too much?
you know sometimes you made the wrong call but you have to roll with it
