4 years later and Cindric is now a Cup winner, Briscoe surprised everyone making it to the round of 8, and Majeski comes up just short to winning a Truck championship.
This season was just one big growing pain. 🤕
I gotta say I don't think their run in the 6p car has much to do with their future success, Cindric probably has forgotten about this season
Talk about beating a career into shape!
The Program® Never fails.
2 Cup series wins now for Cindric.
Cindric's interview after Darlington could make a grown man cry
The Chase Briscoe Las Vegas 2018 crash was similar to Jeff Gordon 2008 Las Vegas. Once he got turned, there was no chance he was going to save it. He was just a helpless passenger
I noticed that. That hit was almost identical, and every bit as hard...
The thing with the 60’s incidents is that all of them are weirdly huge wrecks. There truly were no small moments with this team
They either spun and hit nothing or became an impromptu wrecking ball with very little in between.
The Infamous 60 Curse that was their swan song
I'm so glad Ty Majeski was able to break the curse because it did look bleak in terms of his NASCAR career. Short track wise, Majeski built his stock tremendously.
*swansong *
Me too. I've been banging the Majeski drum for a really long time. Very satisfying. I have him passing Bubba Pollard at this point.
I think Cindric was learning stock cars from sports cars, Majski was learning stock cars from iRacing and Briscoe was just rookie issues... Also clearly Cindric got better equipment with Penske, not because his dad is Roger's right hand man, but because Penske just had better equipment than Roush Fenway
I'm pretty sure Majeski was learning stock cars through his four (at the time) ARCA Midwest Tour championships, which ironically is way more competitive than the main ARCA series lol.
@@lorddrac_dontaskmetodance anything that's the spiritual successor to Midwest ASA has got to be competitive. Martin, Wallace brothers, Trickle, the list goes on.
@@prime_enigma True. ASA was the shit.
Jack Roush did have an eye for talent. I think the main issue was that there were very raw prospects. Nowadays, these guys show how talented they are every single time they get behind the wheel.
Happy that all three have found success afterwards
Judging by their performance in this team alone, it's hard to imagine how Cindric and Briscoe made it to the Cup Series playoff this season.
Crazy stat is Cindric still qualified for the playoffs this cursed year. He split time in the #22 and pointed his way in.
I hope Keselowski bring back Roush to Xfinity and his own team at trucks
He will go to DODGE with SHR next year 🤔
Maybe he would have better luck in ARCA, lmao
@@robrohrer2014 dodge isn’t doing anything soon unfortunately
@@robrohrer2014 what the heck are you talking about?

I was working on a Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity series team during the Mark Martin years. We came to the track to see if we could get 2nd place!!
The collaboration between the Roush 60 car and JGL Racing, mainly Dylan Lupton🔥
All jokes aside, holy crap it was painful to see the 60 car suffer so badly in 2018
Right? DL is terrible
@@larsongame4120 he was. Nowadays, he’s gotten his act together
@@IanTheMotorsportsMan_YT that year actully ended jgl too
That 60 car was very cursed because it wrecked in almost every race in 2018.
Unfortunately Majeski lost his B license and relegated back to C class after this
The cursed 60 car IMO the car that almost destroyed Ty Majeski career
Ty is way too talented to not be in NASCAR, so the fact it came close makes me bitter, but it worked out in the end. Being driver and engineer for ThorSport and nearly won the truck championship if not for just a little stubbornness.
Looking back with 4 years of knowledge behind me, like half of these wrecks weren't even the 60's fault. Just a few different racing lines throughout the season could've led to a more fruitful season
That season is even more cursed when you realize:
A - The number 60 was one of the true "Hall of Fame" Xfinity numbers, and this year was so bad it basically killed that team, the entire Roush Xfinity program, and arguably Ford's extended presence in the series.
B - The drivers who shared this car have since gone on to combine for two Cup ROTY awards, an Xfinity Series championship, 4 Championship 4 appearances, and a Daytona 500 win.
This was the cursed season to end all cursed seasons.
Ford in 2018 was bad… and then 2022 happened which is why hiring Herbst was one of the worst business decisions ever made.
@@GatoradeCupSeriesX94 You also have to remember that in 2018, they nuked the Owners Championship rules to basically ban Cup guys from helping a team make the playoffs.
If Herbst isn’t there, there legitimately might not be a #98 car in the series. Under the old rules, Cup guys could fill gap races while a young guy developed, now you have to throw him in full time, or split the ride with other young guys or there’s literally no incentive to compete full time.
That’s probably why the #22 disappeared.
@@danielwest9955 So basically, Ford has no depth outside of Zane Smith and Custer who was supposed to be the "future" of SHR 3 short years ago then was booted from his cup ride 3 seasons later and relegated back into Xfinity (which is the only series he's relevant in). But it won't matter. Custer will win 10 races while Herbst doesn't even sniff a stage win. If Deegan also doesn't even perform well at Thorsport she's out of the sport guaranteed as another West Series bust.
@@GatoradeCupSeriesX94 My point is the "depth" of programs was always supplemented by a roster of Cup guys. You didn't have to rely solely on green teenagers who may or may not be there as pay drivers to be your entire team.
In the past, a current Chase Briscoe or Cole Custer could combine to run half of a season in the #98 making an Owner's Championship run, while a Herbst or Zane Smith also got races to develop part-time in the same ride.
When they changed the Owner's Championship rules, it basically kicked everyone out who declared for Cup points. Even the guys who were rookies and could benefit from more Xfinity seat time.
Imagine guys like Harrison Burton and Cindric anchoring the Xfinity #22 while Ford puts it some of the prospects you mentioned in the standalone and non-Cup eligible races to develop. The rules completely killed that.
Never Hearn Rick Allen say "HARD" So aggressively in my life with Chase Briscoes Las Vegas crash I mean damn he was like "and Chase Briscoe H A R D Into the wall!!!!!"
probably because "into the wall" alone wasn't newsworthy any more…
2:09 yep I saw that Lombard gaming bros logo
Lmfao
@@BlackFlagsMatter and it probably liked that hit from behind
@@BlackFlagsMatter idk why I came up with that as well
Knowing these drivers now and the fact that cindrinc and briscoe are most likely future cup champions and Majeski a future truck champion it makes you wonder what the hell happened that year
The 60 car was cursed throughout the 2018 Xfinity season
This is such a weird instance considering how stacked this lineup looks nowadays
I remember seeing videos of the crashes of the 60 car being longer than videos of non-Big 3 Cup winners. It truly wasn’t good for cup watchers and 60 fans
The 60 car curse starts with Travis Pastrana in 2013 and after 2015 never recovered.
Oh I remember this season you're right it is probably the worst. And it's just amazing that two of these three drivers are now in the cup series winning races going to the chase.
Those paint schemes were too good for that team 😩
It’s a good thing these guys made Program 60 a distant memory.
Still to this day do not know what Jack Roush was smoking thinking that having three different drivers in the 60 car was a bright idea.
I just got a diecast of that car yesterday
Which one?
The Cindric 60 ford car
@@EthanTrendlerRacing I figured. Now I feel dumb.
I Have Majeski's Bit O Honey Car Instead.
@@christianharvey8003 Cool. I Also Have Mark Martin's Busch Cars From 1992, 1993, 1998, And 2000. I Also Have Biffle's 2002 and 2004 Busch Cars, As Well As Majeski's 2017 Car.
7:05 Jeff Gordon: First Time??
All these drivers all turned out to be really good in my opinion. Definitely bad luck or inexperience I’d say.
I almost forgot that Chase Briscoe and Austin Cindric shared the Roush 60 Car
The #60 was going downhill before this stint, it was really Travis Pastrana who killed the legacy of this number since he couldn't make the transition from other motorsports to stock cars
2015 championship?
@@crystaljon yes Chris Buescher had a championship season with the number but literally after he was moved to Cup the 60 car never even came close to a top 20 points finish again
I honestly want to see Jack Roush reopen his Xfinity program and have guys and Hailie Deegan get a chance from the Ford Development Program
I do not want people to last remember the team known for crashing every weekend
Been waiting for a BFM video on the #60 Roush Xfinity team in 2018 and all I can say is, it's well worth the wait! (^_^)
You notice how many times that car got into something not of its own doing?
I was on the road with an Xfinity team in 2018. We were next to the 60 in the pits at Darlington. When the 60 got wrecked on lap 1 or 2, Jack Roush didn't even flinch. He didn't say a word to the team. He calmly removed his headset, climbed off the pit box and walked away. At that point, it seemed like the team just expected the worst possible outcome every single week. I've never seen anything else like it.
To quote it in a few words; “ CENDRIC BARREL ROLLES” or “ BRISCOE HARD INTO THE WALL!”
Great video!
I can imagine how pissed a rich dude would be if someone gave it damage
The good old days
God I remember this like as if it were yesterday….
I remember almost every week that car was going around
HE KEPT THE SMOOTH JAZZ
I'm surprised that Cindric's season in the 60 wasn't quite as bad as I remembered.
Ironic how Hendrick had the worst 2018 in Cup while Roush’s Xfinity 2018 says it all
i feel like this team made a mistake they should of put someone else in there i know this is just an opinoin no offense to the drivers themselfs but i feel like they should of kept chris buescher in the 60 part time while he was in cup
This year the #15 car for AM Racing has taken up the curse that the #60 once had.
Yeah chase Said in his djd years ago "you be running good and a fluke thing would happen, it was just curse"
Briscoe ran a split season as well and actually won with SHR
The 60 Busch Series car is cursed.
The worst part about the season is that Roush lost all 3 drivers, especially Cindric and Briscoe.
I genuinely don't remember any of these 3 driving that car. Strange
"Bad Seasons: Roush Racing No. 60 2019 (Xfinity Series)"
what sort of a passing attempt was that at 3:57
I would argue Stanton Barrett had a worse season when he was in the 60 in ‘03
The Worst Xfinity Series Championship Outcome - This Year
Let’s not forget a few years before this Carl edwards ran a 1 off at Watkins Glen and won
In 2018, I thought all 3 of these guys were busts. Fast forward to 2022 and all 3 are winners, 2 of them being in Cup including what I personally think is one of the greatest Daytona 500 upsets ever, and arguably superstars in NASCAR. Hopefully Majeski makes it to Cup one day so that these 3 can race on Sundays together. Also, the way all 3 are now in top rides convinces me once and for all that the 60 car just sucked that year! One of the reasons I hate multiple drivers driving the same car throughout the year. Just have one guy in it and call it a day.
the 60 car was made by the cup shops for the most part.
Worst for Roush in Xfinity or for Xfinity in general? I‘d say 2013 was the worst, with only four races won by Nationwide regulars
Roush. Xfinity for Roush in 2013 still had Bayne win a race.
@@kadens yes, but for Nationwide as a whole 2013 was the worst
@@lw97nilslinuswhitewaterweb24 As a series yea, but he was refering to Roush, but I think 06 or 07 is probably worse in terms of buschwacking.
@@kadens I know
The #60 has won more races than any other number in the Xfinity Series with 94 total wins.
Remember when the xfinity series was filled with cup drivers
Key word: #was
Ye
Majeski was just practicing for the truck series wreck fests
Three drivers one car equals no chance brother.
Remember when Ford had promise in Xfinity 2 years ago when they won half the races with 2 cars? And then 2 years later Ford only won ONE race throughout the WHOLE season (which was a cup leech) and not a single Ford made the second round at all that year? This is why you don’t hire Riley Herbst people.
28 car 🤝 60 car
Would be pretty hard to find anyone who would call these 3 a bust today?
All Condric has done in cup is be a sh*t teammate
Lol and yet Deegan who has earned nothing and proved nothing at all gets a ride and a push, and complains... I don't see Majeski complaining, dude only had to be an engineer on his own car before he could get a ride which he did earn and has proven. I hope for the best for her and any other racer who isn't a total sack of shit, I don't get it, though. Props to those with resilience, good attitude, and ability. And yes it is stupid for me to insert someone unrelated into a comparison, and I could have used a lot of people to do so, also. I guess that one is fresh in my mind and unsure why it is generating so much buzz.
5:10 you mean 12?
Ryan Reed wasn’t much better in the 16 car
Roush needs to return to xfinity and BKRacing in the truck series
Here's a video idea. Nascar boring seasons. Prime examples Cup 2019-21 season.
Still to this day, I refer to him as Tim Cindric's kid.
The #60 car may have crashed a lot, but they had great paint schemes
This season sucked as a #60 fan. Every time I looked up the #60 was crashing
The irony of this is, Austin Cindric and Chase Briscoe both drove for Brad Keselowski's team when they were racing the Truck Series, and Brad Keselowski now owns part of Roush Racing, the team that owned the 60 car in the Xfinity Series.
I liked the bit where you asked "can they even finish top 20 in points?" Then immediately cut to - "I don't really know" 😂
First
Nope
@@bighand1530 damn it lol
It’s absolutely insane to me that a future Xfinity champ and cup driver, future Cup driver and xfinity contender, and truck championship contender were this bad as a combo
The 60 needs to come back with RFK and Deegan needs to be the driver
Nope
These are the best videos keep up the good work
Still remembered Cindric's emotional interview after that wreck in Darlington.
It was one of my early memories of him alongside his Truck win at Mosport a year prior to his emotional interview.
Glad that Cindric bounced back driving for Penske.
Funny thing is I do remember Greg and Carl winning the Busch Series Championship for the 60 car, but fast forward to 2018, sadly I was not keeping up with the Xfinity Series much, but it seems like every single race I watched, no matter what the 60 car was always involved in some kind of incident. If we only knew that Cindric would end up winning the Xfinity Series Championship with Penske, Briscoe following him up with SHR, and Ty Majeski coming oh-so-close to a Truck Series Championship. But, I say give it a couple of years and I think under Brad Keselwoski's leadership, and I can see RFKs Xfinity Series program coming back, and gradually being able to achieve the weekly dominance that a lot of us once saw.... so never say never
I just want a Roush racing Truck team. I don't see a rebound for an Xfinity program I wouldn't bring it back if it ended that bad.
@@runrafarunthebestintheworld you know Brad could easily bring back his Truck program as part of the RFK Racing system..... so I understand where you come from on that
I hated this season because I was always confused who was in which car.
That car was so cursed.
Damn, this team could not catch a break AT ALL!!! that's wild how it got caught up in something or just wrecked practically every race
This video should’ve been called “The little car that flew” 😂
5:35 rich guy me: you gotta be effing kidding me!!!!!! WTF?!!!?!!?!!
If "A Series of Unfortunate Events" was a Nascar season.
They just weren't experienced enough at that time, and they were truly unlucky a majority of the time.
Also doesn't help that there are 3 different people driving the car, so nobody is ever gonna have enough time to get in sync on the team, and driving different cars through the season makes it difficult to get used to just 1 car.
I call this video Bad Seasons: NASCAR Xfinity Series 2018.
Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball
We clawed, we chained, our hearts in vain
We jumped, never asking why
We kissed, I fell under your spell
A love no one could deny
Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can't live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you
I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck me
Yeah, you, you wreck me
I put you high up in the sky
And now, you're not coming down
It slowly turned, you let me burn
And now, we're ashes on the ground
Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can't live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you
I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck me
I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crashing in a blazing fall
All you ever did was wreck me
Yeah, you, you wreck me
I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
And instead of using force
I guess I should've let you win
I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
I guess I should've let you win
Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love

All you ever did was wreck me
I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crashing in a blazing fall
All you ever did was wreck me
