Honestly the first two orphan tears songs have some of the best openers in YFM. The first few lines of both of them are amazing.
“It was the weekend, and you cant stop, us from going to the local dance spot, instead of drinking imported beers, somebody brought a bottle of orphan tears”
and
“And we’re back, back to the disco, back to the music, back to the flashing lights. Went straight or the bar said ‘hey let me get a round of orphan tears on ice’”

I actually like Orphan Tears Part 2 & 3
The only problem with the newer song is that it gets repetitive with ray making fun of puff and that he is a loser. The next thing is that there isnt enough of the other band members

I love orphan tears 2, the first half is really good and the beginning of the bill Cosby fight sounds and is better than the rest of it in ot3, and you can't go wrong with the trap chorus
my list is quite a bit different personally, i just wanted to share it here because no other video has em all ranked including GB
9. Orphan Tears 2 - In my personal opinion, this one just doesn't hit. I understand that it's hard to get back into the swing of things after 10 years, but Stevi neutered the chorus that made OT1 so iconic.
8. Uno Reverse - This may come as a bit of a shocker, I know a lot of people who love this song and have it in their top five, maybe even top three. But I just can't ignore the fact that the flow seems disorienting at times. I get that the rhyming scheme is a bit different but sometimes it's near impossible to even notice that it rhymes in the first place.
7. Orphan Tears 3 - Everyone says that Ray neutered the chorus. In my opinion though, it's WAY better than Stevi's rendition in OT2. Also, her part in OT3 is a lot more fitting, because it was kind of disorienting hearing Ray from 10 years ago in a music video from modern day. Not much else to say though, it is quite mediocre, and Wax was at his low in this one. I wish he was more like OT1 or FTJ Wax, he was incredible in both of those videos.
6. Rich People $hit - I love how they turned Turkish March into a dope trap beat that's actually pretty catchy when you listen to it for a while. Wax's first verse was also the funniest verse I've seen in a YFM video since Epileptic Techno. It's nothing extraordinary hpwever. Just a fun little song about the crazy $hit Puff and Wax would do if they were bleeding money.
5. This Is Why I'm Single - It's overall pretty mediocre, but DeeJay's part saves the song. Not really much else to say about this one, moving on.
4. Gentleman's Ballad - To be honest, when I first heard the previews, I had no idea what to expect from the full music video. I was pleasantly surprised when I found that it's quite a good song! Contrary to TIWIS, DeeJay hurts this song a little, but it's manageable because DeeJay still goes together quite well with hooks.
3. Verified - I love how the base sample makes you *feel* like you have a high social status. Everything about this song says "stereotypical famous person $hit" and I LOVE IT. Also not everyone knows that Stevi did the background vocals toward the end. Good stuff.
2. Brain Rave - In my opinion the most UNDERRATED YFM song. While the drop is an absolutely banger one, Stevi hard carries this song like 4 spots. Her chorus is spot on, and makes up for the lackluster Orphan Tears shenanigans. This used to be my favorite for a while, but another song grew on me a few weeks ago.
1. Eff This Job - I'm gonna be honest, this was the last YFM song I listened to in Gen 2. I just didn't think much of it, until I watched it, and OH BOY is it incredible. Wax was absolutely popping off in his verse, unlike, once again, his lackluster OT2+3 performance. Puff Puff also had quite a good verse, but it was nothing compared to Wax, and the drop is just... *_chef's kiss_*.
Overall, I think Gen 2's songs are more oriented toward having better overall music but less humor and meme value, because they can't rely on that 2012 nostalgic meme phase of the internet anymore, which is understandable. It really shows too, four of my top 5 YFM songs are from Gen 2. With the exception of Orphan Tears 1 at 3rd, and an honorable mention to Epileptic Techno at 6th, which just got kicked out of the top 5 by Gentleman's Ballad.
Edit: Just finished watching the video. Glad we're on the same page for the most part. Uno Reverse is overrated imo, and Brain Rave is HELLA underrated. Other than that pretty agreeable list.

@@muffin8460 Everyone Clapped kind of sucks, Date Myself is really good, and Damn I'm Ugly is also pretty good but hard to place because it's pretty different from most of the other songs. I would say Everyone Clapped is right above OT2, Date Myself is like #3, and Damn I'm Ugly is like 4th or 5th.

Thoughts on their newest drop Telescope? Though the video was experimental and very simple, I think the beat and lyrics (though slightly repetitive) are some of the best work they've ever done, and it makes me excited for the future.

@TripleFusion24 I never thought about it that way...thats actually a good way to describe this song...I just like this song because they actually hype themselves up in this one...unlike most others where they usually take the piss out of themselves

He did
Jesse had moved away on the other side of the US which makes it harder for them to work together. He explained in a short that Benatar’s vocals on Uno Reverse Card were added last minute.
Though I agree that Jesse has always been an excellent addition to any YFM songs. Whatever he does anything, he does it right .

I agree Rich People $hit is definitely in the lower half, but I really love the feeling it gives off of just two buddies trying to one up each other. I wouldn’t ever say its one of the best, but its my favorite.

I think the random quirkiness lyrics work well for Brain Rave since it's about random ass memories popping into your head when you're trying to sleep late at night.
At least for me, as someone with ADHD, I find it relatable. And like Gelato said the beat is incredible. I also think the sound of the vocals are great even if the lyrics themselves aren't the best

i feel like the rhymes suck, and the songs really unfunny. i especially dislike wax's part

giving orphan tears a story is overall dumb considering its about a alcoholic beverage made out of orphan tears that case extreme hallucinations and continuing it for another sequel is pushing it and i think is trying to just be liked by people since its about a classic song.

i think this was literally made to put wax in the songs. i also think that this song was really trying to be orphan tears but failed super badly. but this isnt in 8th since they did the chorus here good with stevi and the little trap remix touch added onto it
6 - uno reverse card same kinda opinion almost as gelato. i think making a song about a beaten dead horse of a meme is just pushing it already and screams "like me!" and i also dislike wax's part too. i mainly dislike though what they did to tig and shooty g

this song would have been like 2nd but this song just like gelato says, talks about the old songs too much. it also does sound good yes, but it gets very tiring after listening to it a lot. chorus is good though, stevi the demon was used properly, and i like the animation a ton.

very catchy, good instrumental, and sounds nice overall. but, i dont like most of the lyrics. the beginning where everyone hates puff is bad too, and the animation on that part as well.

i really like the lyrics, animation, and rhyming. its really funny on some parts and i think the lyrics are great. also, no wax is a big plus for the song. i really like the piano too and the trap remix over it like how they did that with rich people stuff except actually good. and i really like how deejays new voice was used. i think the way they made it in the song was super funny and especially how he sounds when talking about booty

Orphan tears was already milked enough at this point, plus the humor was much worse than part 2 (windows 98 was the only good humor in it)

Has the same problem with some of the bad Gen 1 songs - too many repeated lyrics, and boring animation while those lyrics are playing

This song isn't bad, but it just isn't a catchy or humorous as some of the ones higher up on the list

Decent humor, but Stevi didn't capture the iconic orphan tears chorus very well. Probably would have ranked lower if it wasn't the first Gen 2 song.

All of the songs are good at this point, but it isn't as catchy compared to the higher up songs.
