To people who may not be familiar with Cardfight!! Vanguard (TCG), trigger units are cards with a yellow-colour base and normal units (non-trigger units) are cards with a black-colour base.
I've caught someone at my local doing something alot similar to that and when I confronted him about it he told me to forget about it. Another person over heard and brought the tournament organized over and I showed them exactly how he did it and he got disqualified.
Oh damn you managed to get someone DQ’d! I’m glad you managed to pick it up. It can be really difficult with the stress and focus in the actual game... props to you! 👍 (Though I’m really interested to know what repercussions these cheaters face)

Thanks Julius, glad this video provided some insight. It is really unfortunate that people stoop so low for a game, but the same can be said for many aspects in life 😓
That reminds me of way back when I played YGO at school. I remember rigging my hand a few times just to flex these crazy highrolly combos I came up with. Nobody ever caught me, but I stopped since it was boring. You're just replaying that one game over and over again. With a cheat like the one you mentioned, it's hard to call someone out on it, unless you straight up say aloud when they'll hit a trigger to show them that you know what they're up to. What I saw in a TV show once was that they used gel which would identify the high cards of the deck. I thought you were doing that, but then I noticed you predicted the cards before you even touched the cards.
Yeah man. There’s always a way. That’s the essence of magic! But yeah. I found it so hard to call people out, and found it even harder to believe I’d get support. I just hope people can learn to catch these players themselves and be more confident in apprehending them!
@@EntropyVanguard Agreed, both cheating and calling someone for cheating out requires finesse. Otherwise, you either get caught, or you get seen as a poor loser.
