Two words: Mold Release. I don't know if it would have saved you some of the trouble on the squishy body, but it might have helped! These projects turned out great, honestly. Meltan was the star, but I still absolutely love Sandyghast. He turned out so good! I'm loving all of the love for the ghost types around here, it's so cool to see them brorught to... er... life!
Off-camera, I actually lubed everything with Vaseline, but the issue was designing the wire path in a way where the plastic is completely surrounded by silicone. Completely fixed that in the redo. Glad you enjoyed the vid!
i'm pretty sure meltan is made from tantalum specifically. its name appears to be a fusion of "melt" or "molten" and then tan only appears in one element name, being tantalum. which is the same grey as meltan

For future reference, if you want a more robust channel in a mould you can make it so half the channel is in both parts of the mould, and runs perpendicular to the seam so it doesn’t impede when taking the piece out of the mould If you’d still rather have the seam where it was, you’d split the the half of the mould that has the channel (i.e. the actual mould shape is still whole, but the “rod” that makes the channel connects to the top of the mould, which can come off independently to the rest.
Wouldn’t it be cool to make a Legendary in the theme of these other ones that you’ve made? (A small Koraidon/Miraidon toy bike, or a slithering Rayquaza toy perhaps..)
I’m so happy you made lampent! You see lotsa love everywhere for litwick and chandelure, but lampent has always been my favorite of the line and honestly one of the best mid stage evos imo, so I’m happy to see something for the lil guy!

These projects are absolutely amazing I remember this game when i was younger was a set with dogs and you'd press a button to make them go forward and race each other to get back to a doghouse think that could be a cool premise for a pokemon race track with like Arcanine or rapidash

for first evolution ghost i would have chosen ghastly. yeah kinda basic, but i saw a video of someone who made a ghastly humidifier and that was the coolest thing ever, made it feel so much more reap and canon with the misty cloud engulfing the orb face
you could have made the sandygast be a bucket without the hole but instead a part that slides into the bucket in the shape of the hole and pushes it out
You should have made it so the lampent hangs from the ceiling... since lampent is meant to look like a street lamp, and as such, it is naturally higher up or floating
huh, my instinct might have been to print the lantern casing, make a mold with it, and cast it in clear resin. But it would have inevitably been much sloppier than the one you ordered lol

I think you should try put ferrofluid in the eye hole so it looks realistic. I’ve never seen someone do this before, this is actually awesome and I really want to make that hologram Pokémon (I forgot the name)
Next time you have a through hole in a silicone mold, just make the small piece out of wax and you can pop it off the mold to free it (without destroying the mold.) Helpful hint
