This may be tmi but I'm 32 weeks pregnant and suffering from constipation and a bit of hemerroids and I practiced J breathing when I went to the bathroom and it totally helped me!!!!!! I can definitely do this! Thank you
"Breathing the baby out" totally worked for me with my 4th. I had practiced and didn't even need to think about it when it happened. It was amazing. Getting ready for my 5th! Happy to be practicing again.
Hi Nissa, I’m a Brit living in Berlin. Gave birth to my first last Saturday, and put your tips into practice in labour. Wanted to tell you how much it helped. Thank you, and keep up your great work. Best Regards
I've been watching your channel as I reach my due date on the 3rd of December. I feel more confident in myself after listening to the two of you. Not as much anxiety. Thank you for being here for pregnant women.
It’s not hard, everyone is making it more complicated than it is. Breathe through your nose and exhale with your mouth closed, being intentional and thinking about the breath going down your body. Keep your mouth close
I practised this couple of weeks before labour and on the big day breathed my baby out (that’s what the midwifes exclaimed after my short labour!) This was my third birth and it felt amazing to be totally in controle. I loved your hypnobirthing videos, thanks a lot!
This worked amazingly while using the toilet. Flushed right out without forcing; my body pushed out everything on its own. Encouraged to use this technique during labor. Thanks Ladies
I don’t think I was taught this during my antenatal class but I’m so glad I found this video. Prepared me immensely for my delivery. Thank you so much again!
Thank you so much for this!! I’m a first time mom due in August and I can’t wait to use this techniques and the others from your other video! I feel so confident and almost wish the time was closer so I can really try these out! Wish me luck❤️
Hi, I gave birth this morning, I really tried these breathes but my body was telling me another things to do. Maybe cuz I was induced. For example I pushed a lot and that was what my body said. I even couldn't stop myself pushing my baby:) And I think that's opposite to Hypnobirthing philosophy.
I am from Iran. I will travel to Birmingham, England for a three-month period. I would like your email for advice on hypnotherapy courses in England, preferably in Birmangam so that I can take classes similar to yours in Iran with the certificate of this course. Thank you.
Zubedah Ghaffar as a Doula I’ve learned you can practice this kind of breathing everytime you have a bowel movement to “push” it out while you’re breathing NOT holding your breath
i was on 36th week of pregnancy and labour is coming nearer. i get to know about J breathing from my colleague and found this video.. while trying to do this i can feel the air trough my throat, my diaphragm pushing my lower organ downside and my abs area is tightening. am i doing it right.
I have delivered 3 out of my 4 babies without medication and never felt the urge to push. Was always told to push. I’m 35 weeks with baby 5... hoping I feel the urge and will be trying J breathing for the first time. My question is this... if I wait long enough after hitting 10cm... will the urge come?
Can this still be effective if supine and on epidural? With first baby the nurses kept pushing me to hold my breath and push for a 10 count, and it was excruciating
What really travels down the body and pushes down is ENERGY, in Chinese, we call it Qi , as in QiGong. So the air comes out of the nose, but with intention, the energy travels down and pushes out baby. I hope that helps.
Is it possible to do this type of breathing if you have an epidural? My understanding is that you had to hold your breath and push as directed by your midwife?
Is it normal, that i feel some pressure in my belly while breathing? can't define whether i do it right or wrong. P.s. greetings from Russia, thank you for useful videos!
I’m so confused I’ve watched the whole video I focused but I couldn’t follow what was happening. I still have no idea what J breathing is. It sounds like it could be helpful. The other videos yes I get them they are helpful but this one I feel doesn’t explain what you’re supposed to be doing and what exactly is happening as it’s happening.

I just cannot make sense of this, I keep watching trying to figure it out. Breathing out but from top to bottom down your throat? Breathing in while you breathe out? Maybe my throat is broken but I cannot breathe in while breathing out at the same time. I’d like to know how to do this since my labors tend to take quite a while. Anyway to make birth more productive and less painful is the goal!
Hi Im Ines from Argentina, Im 16 weeks pregnant, I have a bicorneous uterus, is it ok to practice this technique at this stage? if yes, how often should i?
I'm a little confused, I've watched another video where they describe breathing at this stage of later like blowing out a candle. Is this the same thing? Or a different technique all together. Thanks for your videos ❤
The lip smacking you make when starting a new thought or sentence is torture for someone with misophonia. If you could be more conscious of the lip smacking in subsequent videos, that would be really helpful.
I have misophonia too. That's my problem. Not other people's. Jeez, who goes around and demands that other people adjust their way of being to cater to one's dysfunctions. It sucks to have issues but issues are meant to be dealt with and managed. Not imposed on other people.

Literally have used it to help me use the restroom too 😂😂🤣 It has helped immensely LOL
This comment will definitely change my life when my hemmy friends make their next appearance😅 thank you!
Also take magnesium glycinate everyday and it should help, if not take higher dose (read Aviva Romm)

I mean lets be honest, most of the time you can 'sneeze' your 4th baby out ;)
Thank you soooo much for this video ❤ 40 weeks here and my water broke and here I am breathing with you❤

Aww you are both brilliant. I am 38 and 1 day pregnant, this has made me feel calm and ready xx

J breathing worked so well for me with my first baby. 2 years later I’m back to practice for my second ‘ thanks lady’s xxx

massaya1 did you do a workshop
@@LeanneWhittington no, I just watched a few hypnobirthing videos but a workshop would've been great too

How did it go?
I had no idea what you're talking about until the very last remark you made where you said this is the breath you make when your kid annoys you 😂
hahahah
This looks like Ujjayi pranayama (breath technique) to me - very popular in yoga. You can find some good tutorials on YT
This was amazing thank you. Are you able to explain the bit where you said about breathing slowing labour?
Hi, I gave birth this morning, I really tried these breathes but my body was telling me another things to do. Maybe cuz I was induced. For example I pushed a lot and that was what my body said. I even couldn't stop myself pushing my baby:) And I think that's opposite to Hypnobirthing philosophy.
Coming back to this video for third baby :)
Amazing video!! Thank you so much!!
Awesome, thats thats a yoga pranayama called ujjyiay breath!
Correct..
Yes! I am a yoga instructor and I am so happy that I am very well acquainted with Ujjayi breathing. I feel prepared!
Wait, this is just ujjyay breath! Wow, did not get that with the video!

Thank you so much for this. Should I feel my tummy muscles "tightening" as I'm exhaling?
When should I use this breath technique? How many centimeter wide?
Hi Nissa,
When should this be practised in pregnacy? And how often? Thanks

How did the babies come out without pushing?
Was it a good experience?
Is this the throat position of snoring? The same breath happening?
Can this still be effective if supine and on epidural? With first baby the nurses kept pushing me to hold my breath and push for a 10 count, and it was excruciating
Hello, no this technique doesn't work if you have an epidural x
Is this breath like an ujayi breath?
If you’re breathing down the throat, how is the breath escaping your body. The demonstrators mouth was closed on exhale.😒 I didn’t get it
Some air comes out through the nose and some goes back into your body x
What really travels down the body and pushes down is ENERGY, in Chinese, we call it Qi , as in QiGong. So the air comes out of the nose, but with intention, the energy travels down and pushes out baby. I hope that helps.
@@angelichild24 So basically you are imagining the breath is going down your throat but it's actually coming out of your nose?

I don't get how to do the J breath in or out. 🤔

One question please: In MArie Mongan's book she says pushing is not a good thing during birthing, only this J breathing. What's the truth then? :(
There are no rules when it comes to birth. Some women will follow their bodies and breath, others will need to actively push. x

@@BddZeps You did brilliantly! Most Mums ahve an overwhelming urge to push which they can't stop x
This makes my ears itch, like right inside and at the back of my throat! I think I’m doing it wrong...
It definitely brings awareness to the throat area x
Do you breathe back out through the nose?

Breath in.. then breath down . not out. (You are naturally breathing out) if you do it slow you should feel it. X
I don't get it :( how does it work? Dose she exhale through the nose?
How often can u do this, during Labour or from beginning
This is for the pushing stage x
fantastic-thankyou!
What if you doing this during Labour? What happens
Hi Im Ines from Argentina, Im 16 weeks pregnant, I have a bicorneous uterus, is it ok to practice this technique at this stage? if yes, how often should i?
Yes the breathing can be used every day throughout pregnancy x
this is a little confusing... so you breathe out without opening your mouth, right? i think im doing it right...
That's it!!
When you say that J breathing is not for all mothers, what type of mum do you mean is not meant for it?
bonjourstacy24 low pain tolerance, who get distracted easily.
Some Mums find it very useful and some don't x
Can't do it
when i do this breathing i am getting a little light headed and i feel my core becoming engaged. Is that correct? I am 23 weeks pregnant currently.
That is perfect! Don't do it for mre than a few minutes as you will get dizzy x
I'm a little confused, I've watched another video where they describe breathing at this stage of later like blowing out a candle. Is this the same thing? Or a different technique all together. Thanks for your videos ❤
I know this comment is a year old but commenting for others: the candle blowing is once baby is crowning to slow down and allow tissues to stretch out
you guys are awesome
I love this but it’s driving me crazy that she keeps pushing up her glasses in all the videos. (Ocd Lol)
it says "practice gay breathing" just saying.
the way of explaing is not helpful, sad
u talk more but explain less, not useful
