  • A design discussion of the modifications I made to LEGO set 75353 Endor Speeder Chase to turn it into a kinetic sculpture. Turning a crank on the base of the model moves the speeders from side to side, making it seem like the one in the back is chasing the one in the front through the forest.

    Great work! I feel like a feature like this would be the perfect thing to justify the set's steep price point. Lego should definitely try stuff like this too :)

    I did pretty much the same thing to the Lego Star Wars Trench Run set. Such a great way to add value to these sets. Amazing technic that can be used for so many sets, thank you on behalf of all AFOLs!

    As always: great and very clever work. At the price Lego is asking for this set, it should come with your modifications already included.

    Fantastic. What wouild make this PERFECT is a scrolling screen of blurry green and brown like in the movie to create the illusion of flying through the trees. Like the tread in the Mario nes set. Lovely build!!!!

    I really appreciate your work! One thing that's puzzling me about this build: Why the big grey gear wheel? It doesn't seem to have and purpose.

    • @JKBrickworks
      @JKBrickworks  4 месяца назад +1

      I can also put the motor inside the base. If I do, this is the gear it meshes with.

      @@JKBrickworks I wasn't really counting on getting an answer from you so now I feel like you made my day ;-) Thanks for the info! I have to point out again how much I love your work! It's really inspirational. I feel like all the candidates of LEGO MASTERS (the show) should rebuild your stuff before going to the show haha :-) would probably make for even more impressive builds.

    Other than that, kinda' cool, though.

    This dude should just buy the entirety of the Lego company at this rate with all his custom builds.
    He might as well make an entire country out of Lego in realistic human scale at this rate, just give him 5 minutes and he’ll have an idea for how to.

    after demonstrating that could use a solid connection on the corners of the plate, you use hinge plates? makes zero sense.
