No, its no el salvador, kamala the "wokester" harris want all prison all over U.S to release all prisoners, That crazy women is gotta turn crime wave crisis into super crime wave crisis.
The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, has prioritized the safety and wellbeing of the country. It’s something to be admired. I hate seeing people cut down the president, given what he has done. These prisoners tormented the population for decades with kidnappings, violence and murders. Just saying!
Those guys were/are cruel. I've heard first-hand accounts from survivors and what happened to the ones that didn't survive it's beyond sickening. The people crying that they're not being treated right cause the lights stay on would be calling for their heads if they knew the stuff they did to innocent people including small children.
Doesn't apply because they are not Non-Combatants and pretty sure because it's not a war. Either way, they are not non-combatants, as it was said, they have all committed murder, a non-combatant does not participate in combat, they do not fight, they do not kill (triage and assisted death for mercy would not apply), they are not armed, they are referring to people like Civilians and Medics for example.
All of Kamala’s remarks are crazy! These prisoners are there for a reason. Maybe New York could cut down on crimes and and murders. 😢😢😢😢El Salvador, means business.
We need a judicial system like that in the US. Only problem like everything else here it would target certain groups. And because of corruption and greed would not work like it was intended.
She just says stuff with no clarification of terms. Trump released many but they all went through a tough vetting by the commission he set up. He even admitted that of all those he released they made one mistake. Being a real leader is hard it requires guidelines and accountability.
I don't think he was against the constitution, I think he just wants criminals to go to jail and not be protected by corruption. My take was he was talking about criminals
There is apparently a female side of that prison that they never show on camera. I remember watching a documentary on an older guy talking about how they took his daughter to one of these places due to her being associated with a gang. And she's not been heard from since.
What do you consider cruel and unusual punishment for a murder ? I think that we should have a Prison system a lot like that with the exception of the lights being on 24/7 . If we had a system like that you would definitely see the crime rate disappear very quickly. Problem Solved. 🤔❤
I work at a DMV in New York. I spend most of my day processing worker permits and drivers licenses for Asylum Seekers. One of the crazy things, once we process their ID, they automatically get added to the ballot registration to receive a mail in ballot. We process at least a thousand a day. Nwcomers will vote, not by them actually voting. Dem officials will process and vote for them.
Oh dear, I am going to clutch my pearls and faint. Except coming from an attorney family, I don’t feel you ever met a prosecutor. They are very enthusiastic about keeping the bad guys in.
U need to research what’s happening in nyc and Chicago! Those gangs r running the streets robbing looting n making ppls miserable and there’s very little security for anyone on the streets because of corrupt mayors etc who let the criminals back out on the streets
You need to research California more. They recently passed a bill to make the trafficking of 15 and under juveniles a serious felony worthy of a strike. What’s so shocking is that it wasn’t all along. And many legislators argued against it because they didn’t want incarceration numbers to rise. Apparently the trafficking of 16 & 17 year old juveniles isn’t as big a deal. The governor shut down the State Department of Juvenile Justice and the arrest rates for juveniles went up 23% in the first year and of those arrests, over 50% were for felonies. The reason this is relevant is because Kamala Harris supports the California Plan for corrections. California’s violent crime rate hasn’t been this high since 2008.
Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom's Department of Finance has pushed back on a Republican-proposed bill to crack down on those who solicit a minor for sex over the cost of the proposal and how it could hamper the state's progress on reducing prison populations. This was just yesterday.
Guess when the problem won't show up at *your * house it's easier to say releasing criminals who may or may not just go back criminal actions out of convenience.
In its heyday, it was the ultimate maximum security prison. Located on a lonely island in the middle of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz-aka “The Rock”-had held captives since the Civil War. But it was in 1934, the highpoint of a major war on crime, that Alcatraz was re-fortified into the world's most secure prison.
El Salvador’s story is far from over, and its success could herald the beginning of a new era for Latin America. The region has long been marked by struggles, but with leaders like Nayib Bukele, there is a growing possibility that Latin America can chart a different course-one defined by stability, prosperity, and true sovereignty.
You can give people all the tools to succeed but when let out they go back to the same people who shaped their criminal behavior in the first place. They need to find new friends, new areas to live in. Notice there isn't any attitude or backtalk from the prisoners.
When you're a citizen and you feel like you can do whatever the hell you want and then your rights are taken away and you're locked up like an animal. Then you have time to reflect and in your mind will tell you I don't want to live like this anymore I want to be able to see my family and go to McDonald's and live free whatever that would mean to you. I don't feel good about being a gang member so if you're going to be locked up in a cage you're the rest of your life that's one miserable life to live
That kid that went to El Salvador prison then went on a patrol with the police. I'm a way, great reporting. On the other hand thought some of it was cringe
This report is kinda misleading. I’m not a fan of the woman but she never said release all of them. Or even gang members. She’s speaking about none violent offenders.
@@piotrswat169 is J walking ok? Is using a different address to get your kid in a better school ok? Is going to jail over child support ok when the child isn't biologically yours and its on paper?
an x military prison guard told me that a normal prisoner in for 20 years can be broken down in 18 months in a MILITARY PRISON BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO RIGHTS WHEN THEY BELONG TO THE MILITARY. If they can be broken and rebuilt then do it. Use their skills.
Lights never turn off in jails here in the US as well, they dim but don't fully go off, it's so they can see inside the cells, now open dorms lights go out except a few type of night light things and jail is always cold ASF.
The Geneva Conventions are international humanitarian laws that establish international legal standards for humanitarian treatment in war. It covers prisoners of war and civilians in war zones. It does not cover a country's treatment of their citizens.
Beans do have protien but the absobtion rate relative to meat is lower... Add to that the amount of fiber in the beans, rice and tortillas, lowering the absobtion rate even more, and you have to eat a lot of beans to get close to the RDA of protien...
They leave the lights on all day in Ventura county jail and the top bunk has a light in your face.. they dont even let u cover it at night... Prison is different u have a light switch in most cells
You might wanna check out the new laws in Louisiana. They wouldn’t pass the Geneva convention much less our own constitution even under the 13th amendment.
The issue in the states is we need honest law makers who don't give more time for car infractions or shop lifting for survival, then they give child preds, cus that happens here in NY.
Not my best moments but I spent a couple weekends in county jail in Kansas. They never turned the lights off.i came in late so was put in one of the 4 bunks beds out of 108 beds.the big florescent light shined in my face the whole time. Lots of people want to be selective when it comes to the constitution. It doesn't work that way. A person can be as selective as they want to be in their own mind, but in practice, you're in or you're out
If you ever been to jail you will know that those lights and those rooms do not cut off. Yes people tear them up but those lights do not cut off in certain ones they dim the lights but them lights are still on.
Yea bro Geneva Convention applies only to wartime treatment of prisoners of war and conduct if the troops involved. But as you pointed out our eighth amendment does prohibit cruel and unusual punishment.
Our system works but only if Judges an DA’s enforced the laws already in the books and stopped actively releasing violent repeat offenders back out into the community to re offend and wreak havoc. Of course if they locked up violent criminals and kept them locked up they couldn’t push the “gun control” agenda. And ultimately they care more about power and control vs public safety. We all see what happens to countries that gave up their citizens right to bare arms and almost immediately they lost most of their freedoms and liberties as well.
