These little 1.6L motors absolutely punch above their weight big time, it definetly feels equivalent to a bigger 2.0L turbo motor and it’s an absolute hoot to drive, the performance and handling is incredible. This honestly feels quicker or on par with a modern VA or VB WRX. You wouldn’t believe that it’s only a 1.6L turbo 4 under the bonnet. Sure it may be the least powerful N car and it isn’t a supercar by any means but it’s definetly one of the most fun cars and great experiences you’ll feel behind the wheel, kudos Hyundai, you’ve come a big way, these cars in 20 years time will become all time classics like the JDM’s of 20-30 years ago.
Great video, thanks. To get overboost you need to floor the throttle below 2,000rpm and then wait. I've seen 19psi with torque steer in 4th gear. Why does the fact that this engine now has CVVD never get mentioned? It's the first time variable valve dwell angle has ever been used in an engine and the engineering design is brilliant. This has so much potential once the ECU is cracked.
Hey mate, I actually bought one of these after N Fest - at no point during the performance runs did it hit overboost (no green light in the top right of dash). Makes a huge difference to the real world/roll on performance in my experience. Catch is it only activates about a third of the time which can make or break a quick dust 😂 Be cool to put some better and fatter rubber on there to help it along AND score some overboost 👌 Perhaps we can have a play at Sydney next weekend 🤘
Own one since december 2021 love this car

Cue the ad: "it's not a super car, it's a super fun car!"
Such a beautifully made car, so much fun, so carefully put together, absolutely love mine, excellent video ❤

really enjoying your new channel,
That’s great. Thank you!
Don't see many on the road, but they do look great in powder blue😅.
Yeah Hyundai Australia only recently opened orders back up - it wasn’t available for a while there.
Just ordered one of these. In polar white and Bose add on. Should be here in 7 days. Can’t wait as my test drive was so much fun
New channel , better content and we get to see the man behind the voice 👌
The i20n is actually a very safe car.
Great video!
The RPM set default in Launch controller is to high ans therefore a lot of spinning wheel.
Set it lower to avoid spinning wheels
Could we potentially see a new i30 vs an old i30? 😁
Interesting idea. It might be a bit hard for us to get hold of an older one, but it's worth a look.

You really need to floor it fast and hard else it wont work
Ofc there is no difference in the exhaust mode if you dont set the N Custom Mode 1 bro .😂😂😂
Ok thanks. I was a bit confused, apologies.
Pretty much the same terminal speed as the latest manual WRX.....not too shabby.
man, you're changing all setups without being un custom 1, bit silly lol
I tried all modes. What's shown on video is just a demo - the Vbox testing is done separately.
Where video 0-100 tank 300?
Coming next week 👍
Just on a point of accuracy. The display is analogue
Thanks. I don’t know why I said digital.
you shift too 3. gear before 100, it will go a 100 in 2. gear.
same price worse fuel eco than a c43 lol
man, non-evs are so embarassingly slow for how much noise they make.
What a zoomer take. Sound is part of the fun of an ICE. There’s much more to driving than a boring, silent trip to 100km/h.
Not as embarrassingly slow as an ev in a long race.
@@adamb8552 so youve never driven an ev, i see.
@@Officialnrb i love when people who dont know anything comment, it makes my day

As long as something makes you happy while you’re sat at the side of the road.
Watching the 1l cars leaving you in their dust.
