  • Here's a fast Texas country jam track that I recorded for y'all. Hope you like it! The track is in the key of G and it's at 230bpm. Also, if you like the tone of my acoustic guitar in this video, I'm using Woodtone Strings (country series) and the .96mm Large Triangle Pick (black) made by Woodtone.
I'd recommend soloing over this track using the G Major Scale -- here are the guitar major scale charts countryguitaro...
While you can use the G major scale (or G major pentatonic scale) for soloing over this track, you can also use the G blues scale (or G minor pentatonic scale). The blues scale is the exact same scale as the minor pentatonic scale except you have an extra "blues" note per octave. Here are the blues scale charts for guitar countryguitaro...
If you want to become a better lead guitar player, check out my lessons over at countryguitaro.... I've put together hundreds of lesson videos and there's also a guitar lick library to give you some lead guitar ideas.
Anyways, thanks for watching and I hope you have fun jamming over this one!

Around 10 minutes is the perfect length of time for the jam tracks. I love em'. These have been some of the most useful videos i've seen. I'm an intermediate player, and i still use your jam tracks everyday. Thank you so much!!!😊

Awesome thanks man! That gives me motivation to record and post some more! I really like recording the backing tracks a lot. Let me know if you have a certain BPM or style track you’d like me to post.

@countryguitaronline The speed your going is perfect. I love the variety. The way i practice, i try to just adapt to whatever speed is playing at the time. Keeps it challenging. I'm not a great guitarist by any stretch. But i love the old bluegrass and folk songs. So, im just trying to get good enough to keep myself entertained. Lol ... Loved the wildwood flower video by the way. That is exactly the way i learned it. You play it the same way, Your an amazing player. If i can get half as good, i'll be tickled to death. Thanks for the inspiration, brother!
