Penny L - Yes, I love the vibrant orange stems. It's easy care too! Nell
I love this beautiful plant. I grew mine from seeds and have had it going on 3 years ❤ thank you for the video
Celeste - You're welcome! And good for you for growing it from seed. I think I'll give it a try when mine flowers. Nell

My pleasure Jillian! I've had it for over a year now & it's doing great. Nell
This plant is new to me.
It's not that commonly found Carole. And so far, it's as tough as its close relative the Spider Plant. Nell
I just bought one and i love it.
By the way i love yur shirt it's beautiful
Purple is one of my favorite color 💜
I’ve never seen this plant, Nell. It reminds me of a peace lily with orange stems.
Terri - It's relatively new on the market & not always easy to find. Plus, buyers snatch them right up! Nell
Mine is not as bushy or as dark as that? its very bare-ish. I think it must be that i have the lighting wrong?
What are thr black spots the mandarin spiders seem to get?
I’ve got several plant and I have a problem with the leaves turning black (not just brown, a really stark black). This happens on the new leaves coming in as well as the older ones. My plants are indoors, in indirect light from a west facing window. I’ve searched around but haven’t found any information on this problem. Can you give me any suggestions?
PS. It’s late February in zone 8b and my 3 fireflash plants have just flowered. The flowers are only about 2 inches tall but they have about 20 black seeds on each. I may collect a few and see what happens.
That could be thrips, do you know how to recognise the signs? Black spots you can't rub off
@@dime.overmatter I don’t see any thrips when I look at the plant but take a closer look to be sure. Thanks for the info!
This! I'm having the same problem. The edges of the leaves turn black. It gets bright indirect light for the entire day. It now has its own humidifier. It still gives me these black crunchy edges. No one seems to be talking about it. How do we fix this?!?
Have you found the issue with your mandarin plant leaves turning black yet? I would like to get one but not sure about this issue some people have with this species of plant. Thank you for answering in advance!
Hi there. I’ve moved all my fireflash plants out to my closed in deck which gets west facing light. They’re about 3 feet from the window and it’s much cooler out on the deck (maybe somewhere around 45-50’ F). Two of the 3 plants are doing fine but one keeps giving new leaves that are black. One of the healthy ones is flowering again which is fun. I don’t worry about the black anymore- I just trim around it and the plants keep growing. They’re so pretty, I don’t want to give them up. I saved a bunch of seeds which I’ll plant in the spring and see what happens.
I just found one last week, she's beautiful 😍
Awesome.
