🚄 INFORMATION KEY
Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more
➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOPS#TO...
Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more
➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_r...
Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

Hello everyone, I’m StarlifeStudios and my passion is to experience and video railway stations across the United Kingdom at both small and large locations, but, with an informative twist! My videos are also designed as a historical reference for the days of the past and to reminisce about the way things were. been here many times, its a busy station!
It certainly was! It was quite a challenge to capture everything but I managed it 😃
East Croydon one of the most busiest stations in the UK and Leighton City in Stepford County Railway is based off of this station
This is not Roblox

Ohhh that's what LC is based off
AAAAAAAH AN SCR FANBOY
Please not SCR 🤦
Yesterday on 26 Oct I went there on Southern from London Bridge, Saw Trams, and we went to King's Cross to go home. An amazing trip. PS: Thameslink was disrupted so had to take Southern (for the first time😃)
there's just something relaxing about watching intensive communter operations in London
Absolutely and theres plenty more to come Fives 😃 Thank you.
@@StarlifeStudios hey no worries your vids are great!
This kind of video really makes you appreciate how good the acceleration ofodern trains is so they don't have to slip coach now.
700s looking good, not so keen on 377s but they play a very important service so better be grateful for them. It hough 455s were retired but I'm probs thinking of something else, unless this was filmed before that.
Great video again mate, can't wait for next weeks
Epic work
Good job. One of my favourite stations😍
I met another trainspotter at Watford junction a few days ago and apparently he was going to head down back to Croydon because he’s from there, what a coincidence 😳
Love ur vids keep.up the great work
Great video .
Great video I love this station
If you ever up north (ish) again I'd recommend dore and totly station (just south of Sheffield main station). You'll get trains down the midland mainline, express and stopping trains to Manchester, as well as the occasional freight service.
Yes yes best place ever what a video! ✅✅✅
Excellent railway video as always mate.
Thanks Imperialist 😃 ⭐
Lovely video 👌🏻
Thanks DP! Not an area I usually visit but its good to see the 455s 😃
Great video👍
Thanks 👍😃
Very nice shots
Thanks RailwayVideos 😊
superb video with great graphics. WELL DONE
Thanks Bob! 😃👍🏻
I love the camera quality in these videos it really does put Recommendation to the vids for the viewers out there 👍
I’m a stickler for quality so I’m glad you like it although I could go further and get a 60fps camera but the file sizes for these clips are *enormous* and I need to keep them somewhere! I have noticed an uptake in viewers recently some of which have no railway knowledge (which is awesome), I’m really happy that the channel has gained a more broad reach recently 😃
Banger video
Love East Croydon station it’s so interesting
The 377 crossing over to platform 5 at 9:52 is rare. Great video!
@gerrymcnally74 trains did go on p5 like that even southeastern ones when they used to go via redhill and east croydon to charing cross from hastings.
Perfect video, as always
Many thanks for your kind works Joel 👍🏻😃 Hope you are doing well!
@@StarlifeStudios I am! I've finished my exams and now I am free!!!!!
Great to hear! How will you be spending your free time? Will you be doing a bit of rail fanning yourself? 😃
@@StarlifeStudios Sure I will. This days I will be still going to school but without any homework or else and today it's holidays so I'll probably go somewhere to do trainspotting. Thank you for asking!
Here I have my Google drive folder with some trainspotting in Catalonia:

Nice catches!
Thanks County trains! Despite the weather, it was a great recording session 😃
@@StarlifeStudios I know how it feels when you go to record nada it starts raining😂, keep going though I love your videos!
I went there yesturday
Good video
+ 1 suscriber from France !
Thank you from the United Kingdom! 🇫🇷 🇬🇧
Great video
Many thanks Fobs Fjs 😃👍🏻
@@StarlifeStudios will ever do videos on the Warrington line?
Oh yes 😃 Any suggestions on that line? Warrington Central seems like an obvious one but I’m happy to take your advice 👍🏻
Great video! Used to be there everyday apart from Sundays). Got many trains from there!
Thanks Transport Focus, last time I came here the 700s were still on testing and the 319s were still around. A lot has changed since then! 😃
@@StarlifeStudios Wow! As you say, a lot has changed…
Nice
Thanks F40PH Productions, I'm surpised you're interested in UK trains, ours aren't anywhere near the beasty monsters that yours are! 😃
banger vidoe
Cool
Nice captures at East Croydon. 😀
Thanks Desiro360, last time I came here the 387/1s and 319s were still in use and things have changed a bit since then! This was also the first station I saw a (then new) 700 on test. 😃
@@StarlifeStudios you're welcome. It's incredible how quickly things have changed over a short period of time.
@@StarlifeStudios the last time you were here the class 442 wessex electric units were operating on the Gatwick Express
I miss the 442s, such good units and had such a bright future before COVID.
This is one of the videos were the 455's were still in service
Great video mate. Nice to see Turbostars at East Croydon but no 377/6s or /7s.
Thanks for watching Arnold, there is a 377/6 and 377/7 at 20:00 in the video 😃
@@StarlifeStudios oh okay
Are GTR Southern getting more Class 387s cascaded from Great Northern and Class 387/3 from GWR & c2c to operate them on the suburban services and the Class 455 that are to be sent for scrap.
Maybe Southern should get rid of the Class 313 and to operate the Class 377/3 on the East Coastway Line and West Coastway Line routes.
wait how did the 455 arrive??
@StarlifeStudios Rail Videos How did you know which units trains were formed of if you didn't capture them on video?
Did you walk round off-camera and check what they were, or is there a website you can check them with?
Hi Thomas, I can largely obtain the unit numbers from my videos although I also use coach numbers noting down any numbers which may be difficult to see. Its also worth noting that almost everything returns from London so its quite common to see the same set of units return after an hour or so. Great question, thanks for asking 😃
@@StarlifeStudios Ahh right I see. Thank you!
Am i dreaming that you said that the gatwick express train is a southern train
Nope! The Gatwick Express branded 387s were operated by Southern during COVID and until the end of March 2022. Its a little confusing but the short answer is that they used the GX stock for Southern services.
Oh ok thanks for telling
Why 387's whith gatwit express run whith souteastern ?
why are the 387 southern services????
I never knew class 171 can couple😅
1:12 why the class 377 lights looks like a class 357
@DwellerPlayz has gotta see this video
Almost every single service is late 😅
That's how UK transport is operated.
They were so helpful to me.
0lz can u go burnham station
Burnham on the Great Western Mainline? I've considered going before, I'll see if I can make it happen 😃
Ugh I'm always last 😭
It doesnt matter to me, I value everyone equally ⭐
this was filmed they day after i went to croydon :(
Hi
