"Pokemon games are pretty easy" flashbacks to generation 4 with lack of exp, hard gym leaders, the elite four, and Cynthia with the Garchomp, and Spiritomb and the Frontier Brain in platinum or HG/SS
Tsar Marklovski yep... X and Y was a lot better in terms on not holding your hand as much the entire time. I think there should be an option for whether or not you want the help and the walk through.
People complaining about handholding in a Pokemon game ? LOL ! Pokemon games have been handholding us ever since Ruby/Sapphire... welp, Black/White upped the difficulty by adding 20 lvls + 2 Pokemon to the league Elite, but still, pretty easy games. Besides, who cares bout handholding when you can get to late game awesomeness in online battles and battle maison 1v1 and 2v2s ?
Adam Crawford By "challenging" do you mean "being constantly bombarded by debuffs and status ailments"? That's how I saw the game. Not hard, you're just handicapped. Also, why are all of the starters so slow? They get out-sped almost everytime.
That good to hear, ORAS was such a easy cakewalk I couldn't finish it. I even try the nuzlocke challenge and I still one shotting gym leaders. By the time I got my 5th badge I stop playing out of boredom.
remember fire red and leaf green and how easy that was? you could literally pick charmander and not fuck with anything else. you could only use charizard, fight every trainer with it, run from all wild pokemon, you will 1 hit kill basically everything you come across, and be lv 100 by the time u complete the sevii islands
agreed, i mean look at those damn 16 gyms, pretty tough elite4 (gap from 8th gym to elite was pretty big), high level final trainer battle. and the remakes let you walk with your pokemon, little stuff that makes me happy.
Agusti Guerola Garcia I cant remember if this is Black and White or Black and White 2 but I used to always go to that stupid tower thing and try to progress there... never made it to the top lol.
Try some of the hacked roms. Uranium is awesome if a friend got their hands on it before the takedown. Another good one is Godra. And Insurgence. Last one is dark AF tho.
The real question is are there multiple save files? No but really i hate the fact my sister and me can't just buy the game once we have to buy it twice! Oh and god forbid if you had 3 people in the household. Sorry it just gets under my skin.
Ryan Clemons1 yeah my brother and I always fight about who gets which version. Since I'm older tho I get to choose but it's really annoying to spend nearly €100 for a game cause there's only one save file
As someone whose been playing the series for the past 18 years the new game feels refreshing. At this point I'm almost 17 hours in and I'm on my way to battle the Akala Island Kahuna. Throughout most of MeleMele Island it felt almost like the game was holding my hand a bit too much. Even the beginning of Akala Island felt like that a bit. Honestly I'd say once I got the Stoutland and Lapras PokeRide options the game has started to feel a bit more open. I'm making sure that I check everywhere, I'm riding Stoutland on every route, doubling back to older areas so I could see if there is any new items or Pokemon with Lapras. Even as someone who followed the leaks very closely about a week and a half back I'm still enjoying everything that I'm finding.
Pokemon go ruined the main games I mean I'm not disappointed that more people are playing but just the fact that they compare Pokemon go a shitty boring mobile game to the main games full of amazing characters awesome gameplay and superb graphics....okay my rant is over
Hirad Yaghoubvand Did you even play the fucking games? The charakters are great and have a great story and charakter development And the graphics are still better than that pokemon go bullshit
StevenAndTheStevens well the only good story of pokemon I have played is gen 5 which is my favourite gen and great charecters? no pokemon x and y and had wayy too many charecters so it was crap and the games before gen 5 just had the same old rival charecters exept for gen 2 but I like the remakes of gen 2 better in gen 4.it was all the same game exept for gen 5 which tried something new and made the story interesting.i have not played pokemon sun an moon yet since it comes out on november 23rd in uk ;-; but I hope they try to have a great story and charecters and please NO SPOILERS!!!
I'm in the camp that has played all the main series Pokemon games, and I have to say that Sun and Moon might just be the most difficult game in the series (I am not joking), at least for me, I tried Nuzlocking this game (basically, a challenge run involving self imposed rules to make the game more difficult) and I got completely stomped in the water type trial, finally losing my nuzlocke just 2 trials later at the grass type trial. Even preceding with a regular play through after that the game was still plenty difficult at times (haven't reached the League yet). Other elements I'm really approving of are the story and the characters, X and Y's rivals and evil team were dull, Sun and Moon really improved the series to new heights in those regards. P.S. Team Litten all the way!
Oh, and one other really welcome addition is the removal of HMs, they've been replaced with the ride pager. HMs sucked, especially since most of them were really bad, and you were forced to put bad moves on your Pokemon or dedicate a couple team slots to HM slaves, good riddance.
The starters are cute and I like how they have early dual type STAB coverage from the onset. Their final evolutions also look cool, but I don't think it has the same badass factor as say Blaziken, Greninja or Charizard.
Jake even with good or bad footage we know your videos are going to be entertaining and we love that all you guys put so much effort to give us good videos :)
The new Pokemon Sun & Moon games are shit imo. Here's why: 1) Many features of previous Pokemon games were dropped. 2) There's no 3d - the main thing that makes the 3ds even noteworthy. As someone who always uses the 3d on the 3DS, I was incredibly disappointed when I found out there was none. (There is some 3d in the PokeFinder, but that shit is worthless.) 3) You can no longer sit on fucking chairs. To sit on the bed, you have to press 'A' against it. This makes the game feel even worse than gen 6. 4) The delightful sense of exploration and discovery from the previous Pokemon games is lost. The game doesn't look better than Pokemon XY or ORAS. The only difference is the sprite's height. 5) The Plaza thing is utter shit. They should've just stuck with secret bases. At least those were somewhat entertaining. 6) No more roller skates. Have fun slowly running around everywhere for the first 5 hours of the game, or tediously ride a Pokemon that you have to get off of every time you want to talk with someone. 7) The story is boring as fuck. Nothing happens in the first 5 hours of the game. 8) Z-moves were nice, but they lower the variety of Pokemon you would want on your team. I never wanted to put Raichu as the electric type on my team; Magnezone suited me way better, but because of Z-moves, I had to stick with Raichu. If your team isn't full of Pokemon that can use Z-moves, then have fun loosing you scrub. 9) You can't buy Moomoo Milks, Lemonade, and a lot of other beverages for your Pokemon anymore. When you buy one, you fucking drink it yourself. WTF?! 10) Antidotes, Awakening, and all other status healing items are now practically useless. You can heal your Pokemon from status conditions after a battle without the need of items. You may argue that the 3ds wouldn't be able to handle the game if features such as 3d were implemented, and I'd tell you that you're wrong. The Pokemon company was simply too lazy to actually improve the game.
1:....so? 2:....so? 3:wtf sitting on chairs? 4: don't know about you, but looking around on tauros for zygarde cells or finding secret areas is actually fun to me... 5:opinions. 6:so ORAS is bad now? it didn't have skates. 7:that's because that's introducing the main concept and the characters of the game. 8:........ didn't lower mine since any pokemon can learn a z-move.. 9: this is seriously a problem? 10: that makes the game better since you don't have to waste your money on that kind of stuff.
░KenLinx░ 1. Non-specific features were dropped? Shucks. I forgot to notice. 2. The 3D has always been fucking awful. It's a gimmick, and most people, including myself forget it's even an option at all cause it's worthless. 3. Who actually does that? Like, goes out of there way to do that? You're complaining about the story being shit, but are pissy you can't sit in a chair and do literally nothing whenever you want... 4. Try harder. 5. Those were even worse than the plaza. 6. Not even an issue, really.. Now you're just being excessively whiny. 7. No one plays Pokemon for just the story. Literally no one. I'd be perfectly fine with the idea of there not being one at all. 8. Literally any Pokemon can learn a Z move. 9. You're one of 3 people that used those. Not even a complaint, just a dumb preference. 10. So...... You don't use those DURING battle, when they're actually NEEDED? The only real, arguable complaint you can conceive is that the frame rate will dip a bit when there are more than 2 Pokemon in a battle. Just stop bitching.
earlier today i purchased a copy of Pokémon moon for 3Ds, but when I loaded the game up there was a save file with 82 hours that had legendary Pokémon’s and a shiny solgaleo Pokémon. I did some research and realised that if I deleted the save file and started a new one I won’t be able to get it back since it was a code from a event. I just want to play the game but there is nothing to do on this save file since the game is completed. I don’t know what to do. Update - I might just delete the save file I don’t mine that much
The starter I picked is Rowlet, just because he's cute! I've never, in 20 years, picked anything but a fire starter Pokemon, but Rowlet was just too cute for me to pass up. As far as the game goes, I have to say that the tutorial was very long, too long for a returning player. I really wish GF would allow you to skip the tutorial if you want, as it's just drawn out and boring in this game. Once the tutorial is done and the game opens up though, it's quite magical. The world of Alola is beautiful, and I love the Hawaiian vibe. I'm also very happy that the game isn't mind numbingly easy like X/Y was, don't get me wrong, it's still a Pokemon game (ridiculously easy), but it's more challenging than X/Y.
Hitler is actually a cat eh, I picked a chiken over a mud monster and a gecko :] I never really liked Sceptile too much, but his mega changed that tho :p
It's cool, Gameranx. A common issue I see around RUclips is not giving proper care to the audio portion of your content. This video is a perfect example of how good audio can excuse (or save in some cases) content. Good job!!
Rowlet is adorable, so I had to go with him. So far I'm enjoying the game. And the way the Pokedex is split between the islands has me actually wanting to catch ALL the pokemon from each island. A feat I've never taken on before.
As someone who's beaten the game, its was HAAAARD!I dont think i've struggled this much on a Pokemon game since the days I was still a noob aka back in Platinum and HG/SS.While it might stat off looking easy,it definetly gets harder. The first Kahuna fight for example, was a disgusting struggle for me.The first trail I OHKOed the Totem Raticate and thought I was set for the Kahuna, boy was I wrong. The game is the hardest in the series. In one trial I ended up having to rely on a Greninja which at the time didnt even obey me,and that was only because I decided to put it on my team until it would obey me.That totem pokemon had my team COMPLETELY in shambles![LOOKING AT YOU LURANTIS!]And the Elite Four can definetly give you a run for your money, almost literly. The story for me imo was interesting and I LOVED the characters, mainly Lillie and Hau.And Team Skull was a decent team all in all, they might not be balls to the wall seriously like past teams but the comedic relief they gave was fun.And honestly one of my favorite parts in the game right next to Poni Island was Pon Town. The additions were certainly fun in my book
sonicfan11o9[Lord Cornz the Lord of Corn] I personally thought leaf green was harder. Your Pokémon are all in the early 40's after the 8th gym and the Pokémon league has 55's and up. This game didn't have a victory road either, which is usually the hardest and most annoying part of any Pokémon game in my opinion
This game did it. Compared to how "easy" X and Y were, this was more "Pokemon". There were struggles (Lurantis) and a great story. This game, blew my expectations away.
TopHatLucario There are alot of good tracks imo.The credits theme and champion battle theme are epic.I loved the UB song.Same with Gladion's battle theme.Everything related to team skull in music is very good. And I personally like the Red&Blue remixes
The game so far is pretty cool. However, I do have a couple gripes with it. First off, there is WAY too much dialog in this game! The story building is cool but damn, do I REALLY need to hear from the entire peanutt gallery every time something happens? Fuck. Also, replacing "super training" was just a dumb move imo. That made things soooo much more convenient. It's generally not a good idea to take away features that were enjoyed.
Sorry Jake, but I *DISAGREE* with you. This game, in terms of story, "island trials", battle music and designs is unfortunately, one of the *WORST* Pokémon games I've ever played. Let me say it this way, from top favorite to least favorite games in order: 1. Pokémon Diamond --> Gen 4. 2. Pokémon HeartGold --> Gen 2. 3. Pokémon FireRed --> Gen 1. 4. Pokémon X/Y --> Gen 6. 5. Pokémon Emerald/AlphaSapphire --> Gen 3. 6. Pokémon Black2 --> Gen 5. *7. Pokémon Sun --> Gen 7.* 8. Pokémon Black --> Gen 5. In addition, in terms of competitive battling, I *HATE* how they removed "Super Training", making it tough to get all "Mega Stones" without grinding for BPs and how USELESS "Hyper Training" is unless you reach level 100 and even then, getting the "Golden Caps" to max all 6 IVs is a hassle and EVEN THEN, those maxed out IVs are only *artificially maxed out* and so those Pokémon who rely on a certain type of the move "Hidden Power" won't have their Hidden Power type change no matter how much you increase your IVs through Hyper Training. I'm sorry but this game (and generation as a whole) was a *DISAPPOINTMENT* for me personally and I prefer Pokémon X/Y WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY MORE than Pokémon Sun/Moon. (I'm already "demotivated" to play it anymore after finishing the main and post game stories, while in X/Y, I spent *OVER 800 HOURS* playing that game between main story, post story, breeding and online battling and *LOVED* every bit of it, not so much here in Sun/Moon tho). Just saying.
Baby ko Chinito Speak for yourself. What you said ironically enough is what I'm gonna say right back at ya. *It's just MY OPINION if you don't like it then don't ramble about it.* Now BUZZ OFF and go cry somewhere else if you can't respect opinions that are "opposite/different" than yours. - _ -
It's weird how I'm getting into Pokémon again. I first played it when I was 4 on my gameboy advance sp it was ruby. Years later at 12 my parents got me omega ruby and it felt so familiar! I'm 14 now (birthday 18th) coincidentally the same day Pokémon moon came out and it's safe to say I'm becoming a fan even though I'm more PlayStation (also can't wait til the switch)
That’s actually pretty much my case with S and M’s release haha, but now there is a new one and I’m going to buy it just because I know it’s the last Pokémon game I’ll ever play.
as someone who has played nearly every pokemon game, im confused as to why people are saying this Gen is difficult.. i didnt stop to grind one time and beat the league with all low 50s and only used like 3 revives to do so. ive also been watching someone else use nothing but incineroar and doesnt struggle so far through AF. its honestly just as easy as X and Y was.
i stopped playing after gen 3. as a kid who grew up with gen 1,2,3 i hated anything after 3. plus nintendo games suck except pokemon and i wasnt willing to buy a ds just for one series. i finally did when oras came out, and i am so glad that i did. but moon is disapointing. i will probably finish it and go back to y and as
Justin "nintendo games suck". I'm not a nintendo fan boy, but Jesus man you must be an even bigger hipster than I am! also how the fuck is moon disappointing? it's a new pokemon game, it's an update of the older ones! but whatever your opinions are your opinions, I doubt we'll ever cross paths again so I can't give too much of a shit
Every game (except remakes, restarts and Black 2) since Emerald I've chosen the Water starter. I may break that tradition when I get Moon because Poplio is awful.
I just never got the feel for water types. I only ever chose the water type in pearl, because of the poor choices. speaking of, who thinks the other gen 7 game is going to be a remake of diamond and pearl
I think I agree on your criticisms, the intro takes a long time, and there are a lot of crazy UI changes (which isn't as much a bad thing but a surprising thing), but really, it takes about 25-30mins just to get your starter pokemon.
I really agree with this. Emerald was my favorite game overall and I started way back with Yellow. When I played X I finished it but didn't do much post game. I skipped the ruby and sapphire remakes because I was kind of meh about the whole thing but I started to get low key excited about Sun and Moon as details emerged. I'm playing Sun now and having a ball, all the little touches and the story has me really engaged and I love the idea to add new forms to old pokemon. I haven't hit the difficulty spike everyone keeps talking about but I think I would have had I not been warned and prepared. I'm still in the honeymoon phase with this game but it's easily an 8 or 9 out of 10 for me so far.
What I feel like with Poke-pelago is that it can be a mobile companion app for the rumored Pokemon Stars on Switch. You play the main game in the console, and you can pair up with Poke Pelago on your phone to have some extras goodies added to the main game.
There are things that could have gone different or be different in general that would have made this Pokemon game more emotionally and intelligently expansive to small details which can make a great deal of an avalanche of a difference when put together.
Can I just say that this is the first Pokemon game where I've actually *used* items like Ether and Full Heals because I *needed* them? Because holy shit, this game lets go of your hand and pushes you down the stairs. I especially hate the battle with Hapu. I have never bought so many Revives and Full Restores for a single battle in my entire life.
Ikr? It gives off a vibe that it IS holding your hand, with all the items and random healing given by the main characters, but it's all actually NEEDED. The end of the main story gets TOUGH
I don't like the whole Z-power thing. It's too similar to mega evolution but so much worse. I think the design of the new Pokemon are better than the gen 6 ones. The intro was way too long and I miss the gym battles ;-;
Airborne Cthulhu I honestly prefer Z-Moves over Mega Evolution. They're not so similar in the fact that the Pokémon physically changes and radically changes in stats and abilities, but its power is augmented into one particular move. It's why Z-Moves are far less broken than Mega Evolution. Also, I love the dances that go along with it. It reminds me of Hawaiian dances and they look cute. I know I'm pretty much in the minority there, though.
I understand both your points for Z-Moves over mega evolution, but I guess I just don't like how long they take to perform. If I could skip them that would make things much nicer
I was already a teenager before I first encountered a pokemon game... when Red and Blue first came out. I have bought every (main) pokemon game since. I have watched the series grow and change alongside my friends since back then. And yes, I still play with those same friends from way back then. We even still consult each other on where to find pokemon instead of relying on the internet.
Gen 1-er here, loving the game so far! One of the most charming games of the series, and just as fun too. And Rowlet is seriously competing with my love for Bulbasaur :)
TheodoreMauros ok so how the game ended, stars is likely a complete sequel. I'd probably play the actual game because stars has so much room for story continuation
RyuBeastGaming That is probably for the best. People end up in hospitals in critial condition because someone beat them up for something stupid like a Elsa Babrie toy. 😅😑
Since I love the beach the most, I never got tired of the “Hawaii” setting. That, plus the challenge, progression, side content, and interesting characters, makes this my favorite Pokemon game since Gen 1.
The Pokémon Games got easy since Gen 6 because EXP Share gives all pokemon the full exp points. If you have six pokemon you will get six times as much exp as if you had one pokemon if the exp share are on. This is so broken and makes your Pokémon level up super fast
+Filipe pinto i see...thanks alot for your info, i am still thinking should i buy 2ds or wait for nintendo switch..i think if i buy new 3ds i will regret it if nintendo switch come out, because i think the price will be not have much gap, if i buy 2ds i can pass nintendo switch with easy feeling, cause the price has high gap...for 2ds : about $120, for new 3ds(not XL) : about $217...
lt really only lags when in double battles with some bigger pokemon or with Solgaleo and Lunala in Pokemon Refresh on the N3DSXL. Probably more instances that make it lag, though.
I don't know about picking up this game, while omega ruby and alpha sapphire were really awesome, I didn't really get that old vibe of "the original 150" as strongly as I would have if they made the game pixelated. Either way, I'm open to suggestions, people of RUclips.
As a long time pokemon fan who loved, completed, and overplayed the shit out of each game from each gen, Sun and Moon is the first pokemon game where I actually didn't have a fun time. I feel like the creators were making pokemon Z, then just scraped the entire project to get Sun and Moon out, by a hard deadline.
the last thing I would call sun and moon is challenging especialy if you pick rowlet let me explain..... lvl rowlet and only rowlet then he can double razor leaf the first totem pokemon and peck the kahuna he can razor leaf the fish totem pokemon ez and get a wishiwashi to one shot the lizard totem pokemon and any pokemon with a fire type move to one shot all the grass types and then grass or water type to kill the rock type kahuna and yup that's half the game done ez in a day
I've been playing Pokémon since Red and Blue. I remember how I used to steal my brothers Game Boy just to get a sweet taste of the RPG that took up most of my thoughts. I, a senior in high school now, can easily say that Pokémon Sun and Moon are easily in my top three favorite set of games. The story is a nice touch, but the fact that this reaction feels so different brings back those childhood memories of exploring something new and loving every second of it. If you're a fan of the main series games and are on edge on whether or not these are worth the buy, they are. Go get a copy and see for yourself.
I knew what you meant 6th. And now they will with Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu, and Let's Go Eevee. They're basically gorgeous versions of a gen one pokemon yellow, with slightly different game mechanics
I've only put an hour of gameplay into sun so far but I do like It, I can't say I'm a big fan of all the dialogue especially at the beginning but I do like this game, my starter Pokémon was rowlet this year, I always switch between fire water and grass each year
I played the original Pokemon back in the 90's, and then basically never touched the series again until Pokemon Sun. I'm really enjoying it. I'll admit, I was a little overwhelmed in the beginning with all the new stuff that there is in the series now, but I'm getting the hang of it all, slowly and surely. One of my friends has Moon, and we trade stuff back and forth. The characters are more interesting in this than in Blue (low bar to clear, I know), but between the characters actually having character, the fact that there's actually a plot, and the pokemon all having personalities in the way they move their bodies... I'm really enjoying it. Also, i started with the owl, because he's adorable.
As someone that gets tired of samey games over the course of their evolution.. Sun and Moon really pulled me back in, its a refreshing change over a somewhat tired but beloved recipe.
I actually don't mind the amount of dialogue. Something that does bother me however is how slow the health bar goes down at times, and how the game lags terribly during Double Battles. I did like the story of Sun and Moon overall, though Team Skull was honestly pretty lame (not as bad as Team Flare, but still) and the Alolan forms (with the exception of maybe Marowak) don't really improve on the Pokémon's design and, unlike Mega Evolution, don't give the Pokémon any stat boosts. Out of all the Pokémon who got Alolan forms Ninetales was probably the most useful before Gen VII but even then it wasn't an amazing Pokémon in battle. The Alolan forms didn't make any of those Pokémon better than they were before, which means that most of them will continue to be pretty much useless in battle, and that makes me a bit sad. I do have an Alolan Marowak on my Pokémon Sun team who I took on the Pokémon League with, but it basically suffers from the same problems regular Marowak has. Low SpDef, mediocre HP and horrible Speed. Thick Club is still a thing for Alolan Marowak thankfully but it loses the Ground-type STAB to abuse moves like Bonemerang and Earthquake (I find Bonemerang to be a particularly useful move since it can bypass annoying Abilities like Sturdy and items like Focus Sash because it hits twice), and loses Rock Head for Cursed Body, which is a rather shitty Ability :/ especially considering that Alolan Marowak gets access to Flare Blitz...
picking it up on Thursday after not owning a Nintendo handheld since the original games were out. excited to see how far the game has come. my kids are Pokemon fans as well, and I'm getting my oldest one of the two games for Christmas, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to enjoy something with him. thinking I'll go with Rowlet as my starter. like the speed stat at 3rd evolution, as well as it's type
This is honestly one of the best pokemon games that's been released in a while. Its not insanely easy and has a great story. The only bad thing I would say about the game is wild pokemon being able to call for help. Sometimes i'm stuck in a battle for around 10 minutes because the pokemon keep calling for help and i cant kill them fast enough. The other reason is the framerate. For some reason, when there is more than 2 pokemon in a battle the frames like to drop a substantial amount. Overall the game is great and never made me bored.
I definitely am missing the old style of pokemon since i've been playing since pokemon yellow and the others. But i feel like with the direction they're going in with this style the graphics are going to get amazing and the content will be hardly limited. It's so weird to see the series develop, and sad.
I bought sun and moon and started with water type on Pokémon moon. Right now I'm route four and it's so hard to find Eevee. I have 2 now, but I'm trying to get all the evolutions. This game is hard but not in the bad way. You can take the ferry back to previous explored islands, which is so cool. I love the Festival plaza I got so many pokeballs and free items from there.
before I buy, I need some money...
before u buy
step1 get a job
step 2 get money
step 3 spend all ur money on infinite warfare cod points (because that's a truly great game)💩💩💩💩💩💩
Or...
step 1 rob banks in small populated towns
step 2 Demand only 20 dollar bills
step 3 Bury the car and use the extra cash to buy a cheap vehicle
step 4 Split up with the cash with your partner when you realize how bad your situation is, one of you will likely die.
step 5 Buy the pokemon game.
step 6 ???
step 7 profit
step 8 ???
step 9 get hit by a truck
step 10 you are paralyzed and will never be able to play another pokemon game in your life
step 11 You will pass away alone realizing you never really truly lived life
step 12 ???
step 13 Become a unicorn. Become THE unicorn.
TheNorth15 wtf xD
TheNorth15 you explained my life story lol
TheNorth15 I thought step 3 was profit.
"Pokemon games are pretty easy" flashbacks to generation 4 with lack of exp, hard gym leaders, the elite four, and Cynthia with the Garchomp, and Spiritomb and the Frontier Brain in platinum or HG/SS
And don't even get me started on Pokemon *Renegade Platinum*
Yeah and don’t even mention Red in gold
Poplio still sucks sry
gameranx YOU ARE AMAZING
gameranx isn't there pokemon star coming out or is that for switch only
but it has the best stats...
Poplio can be a male.... what?
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion
if Sun and moon can be challenging at some points then that's great
AwesomeAQ8013 fingers crossed
sunsbookishgamesx you get your ass handed to you if you don't prepare.
Yeah X & Y was easy as fuck, so when I beat the Elite 4 I just felt odd, like I didn't achieve anything.
yeah when the Elite four are all in their like 60s it's really bad (talking about XY btw)
Just make sure your team is roughly ten or more levels higher than the wild Pokemom in that area. fair warning, grind near a pokecenter.
So far im loving the game. My fav part is that im not out leveling everyone
JTundra Yes. The final Kahuna fucked me over cause I'm used to not training my Pokemon now.
TheGrayGhost what level were the final kahuna pokmeon?
JTundra 47, 48. Usually I don't train in the newer games which is why I was fucked.
cosmo ok so you can easily outlevel the kahunas?
i'm... its too fucking eZ.......... then again, i have no lyfe.
Mom wont drive me to the store and its super cold outside to walk
well time to shoot up the school.
aim for the chest...head shots are hard.
none of your business Nope!! WTF?!?
I agree. That's what I did in kindergarten when I couldn't buy Kirby Tilt and Tumble.
+James Duncan 'murica.
F It WALK
I love Pokemon Sun and Moon, but the framerates kill me. Along with the healthbar being strangely slow at some points.
Kazoo Kid is the story long?
Kazoo Kid it's probably meant for the NEW 3DS. But it's on the normal for more sales I suppose
Kazoo Kid is it worth buying because I'm thinking of getting it for my birthday
WolfieMate PC Gaming As a long time fan, I personally think its worth it. But its really up to you
The framerate was good for me at least when I kept 3d off. Although I do have New 3ds XL soo...
Too late already bought it
Me too fam
CoolJZero1 yeah that's what I was about to say too late bought both sun and moon
This video shouldn't even exist.
I bought 2 of them: Sun and Moon
I got sun
The amount of cutscenes and handholding is terrible.
agreed.
Tsar Marklovski yep...
X and Y was a lot better in terms on not holding your hand as much the entire time.
I think there should be an option for whether or not you want the help and the walk through.
Tsar Marklovski turn off exp share, the hand holding turns into something that will save your ass
Agusti Guerola Garcia Sun and Moon's hand-holding seems longer and more tedious.
Gen 2 will forever be my favourite. I loved Heartgold
heart Gold is gen 4...
yeah but the originals and its pokemon are gen 2 so i consider Heartgold a gen 2 game
*xIWoiken* Sure, it came out during the forth generation but it's based on the second one. I'd say that it belongs in the second generation.
heartgold is gen 4 lol
Anti Riku Heartgold is gen 4.
X&Y was so stupidly easy I was pissed, lol. But sun and moon (I'm playing moon) is nicely challenging!
I live in Europe so I get the game later.. but I'm so damn glad to hear that Sun & Moon are challenging, X & Y were way too easy.
Adam Crawford By "challenging" do you mean "being constantly bombarded by debuffs and status ailments"? That's how I saw the game. Not hard, you're just handicapped. Also, why are all of the starters so slow? They get out-sped almost everytime.
same, I cleared x in 8 hours
That good to hear, ORAS was such a easy cakewalk I couldn't finish it. I even try the nuzlocke challenge and I still one shotting gym leaders. By the time I got my 5th badge I stop playing out of boredom.
remember fire red and leaf green and how easy that was? you could literally pick charmander and not fuck with anything else. you could only use charizard, fight every trainer with it, run from all wild pokemon, you will 1 hit kill basically everything you come across, and be lv 100 by the time u complete the sevii islands
I'd say after Gold & Silver, this generation is 2nd best-
I will always say gen 4's my fav, as its the first gen I ever played
Nikolas Yager same
Agreed! Aside from its Gen 4 remakes, no other game thus far gives you 2 frikkin regions
+Nikolas Yager im with you, but when gen 4 remake comes out, im gonna re evaluate it and will check if it is better than gen 7
agreed, i mean look at those damn 16 gyms, pretty tough elite4 (gap from 8th gym to elite was pretty big), high level final trainer battle. and the remakes let you walk with your pokemon, little stuff that makes me happy.
More challenge? More story? Are we on Black and White levels again? I'm down for that!
yeah this game gets really hard mid game
Is it just me or did Black and White have a HUGE difficulty spike after N's castle?
Yeah seriously I remember playing the original Black and White... damn that was fun.
Yeah, those extra 20 lvls + 2 Pokemon on the Elite 4 was a welcome addition ^_^
And the Metro battle too ^_^
Agusti Guerola Garcia I cant remember if this is Black and White or Black and White 2 but I used to always go to that stupid tower thing and try to progress there... never made it to the top lol.
I always wished for a bigger story in the pkmn games
Abel Paige then this game is a MUST for you
You should try hacked roms. Some of them have insane sorries
Try some of the hacked roms. Uranium is awesome if a friend got their hands on it before the takedown. Another good one is Godra. And Insurgence. Last one is dark AF tho.
i have it
Yeah it is. But its amazing. I would give it to you guys but idk how.
Who here is just waiting for the 23rd in the U.K.?!
Everyone in EUrope
Finland here, same
sangnuine tv yeh. Why were they able to release games worldwide all at one before but not now
Social Awkwardness 25th december because my dad preordered it with the 2ds for xmas
Portugal here and its the same thing :(
I got both Sun and Moon. Best $80 I ever spent there is more play time in these games than most triple A $60 games. BTW Popplio Is the best!
Storm at least we don't do steroids
Shimmalia 😂😂😂 I'm crying ! tell him!!!!
Storm Fuck Litten! Nah jk they are all cool its just popplio is the best
Wait? What do you gain by buying two games, that are practically the same? The exclusive pokemon in each aren't even that wanting.
TheNorth15 two save files
The real question is are there multiple save files?
No but really i hate the fact my sister and me can't just buy the game once we have to buy it twice!
Oh and god forbid if you had 3 people in the household.
Sorry it just gets under my skin.
Ryan Clemons1 yeah my brother and I always fight about who gets which version. Since I'm older tho I get to choose but it's really annoying to spend nearly €100 for a game cause there's only one save file
Um... i have 3 people in the house. uh oh.
Jingerale
Do all 3 like pokemon?
Ryan Clemons1 yes
Jingerale
May god have mercy on your soul :)
Same here, well said
17 hours in and your still on Akala island? Wow, I'm 20 hours in and i just started poni island
TerraTF already beat kahuna of aklala she's really hard use wishiwashi
I played 18hrs and finished the game. on 23hrs now trying to all the ultimate beasts.
Pokemon go ruined the main games I mean I'm not disappointed that more people are playing but just the fact that they compare Pokemon go a shitty boring mobile game to the main games full of amazing characters awesome gameplay and superb graphics....okay my rant is over
StevenAndTheStevens "amazing characters" and "superb graphics"? GTFO
Hirad Yaghoubvand
Did you even play the fucking games?
The charakters are great and have a great story and charakter development
And the graphics are still better than that pokemon go bullshit
you liked it before it was cool, you are not a hipster
Endrikh Darkvine CXVI ikr
this game is the first game that reckt me in elite 4 wtf
its jun wat lv were ur pokemon
Christoaster 57 58
rest in peace
someone never played gen 4
your 0/20 bot laner so?
Treo Zucic Surf and maybe Waterfall were the only good HMs
Treo Zucic I agree, when trying to level up my Pokè especially early game,I have to constantly go to the Centre after each fight
Ey, team Litten is right.
silver sttRIke95 I just fell asleep playing Pokémon Sun, and I may or may not have lost 2 trials worth of progress
Hey random person looking through comments
I'm Eat sup
hi
I'm Eat sup
lawfulneptune14 he's mine bitch!
Hello
What happened to the mega evolutions
Cadet Kirk still there just not advertised
Cadet Kirk Post game feature
That was the main thing for 6th gen. Now it's Z-moves.
dlc
Mega Evolutions will be introduced when you reach late game
*”Before you buy.”*
I already bought it..
Trust me the game is amazing!
I love this game finally reached the aftergame last night, lmao I've already spent 27 hours on the game I'm addicted to it but it's downright worth it
I been playing for 2 days straight....help!
I still have to wait 3 more days :s
Ominous Enclave lol even though I have a test this month and should be studying. Im still playing the game XD
Ominous Enclave did u cry at the ending tho
I like how so many Pokémon are available so early on. I have 5 on my team and I've only completed the first island
Moon master race. Popplio is the best starter. FIGHT ME
"watt" are you on about. *wink* ;P
Watt Milkes lovely profile picture
The Sun would destroy the Moon ten seconds flat!
Moon with rowlett
Watt Milkes I thought I was alone...... :)
My only complaint about sun&moon is that it tells you what moves are effective against what type when you battle.
Litten best starter.
SleepyProductions whats so bad about that?
Extremebeaster It takes away some of the experimenting that you had to do or look up in the other games, so it just doesn't feel right.
it only does it on pokemon youve battled before. so you still got to experiment with new pokemon
It's not like it added depth, you either remembered or you didn't and you went to check on the internet, where's the fun in that?
Khelan Experimentation.
The miltank gym battle in Pokémon gold and silver is the true challenge.
I bought a modded 3DS just so I could make videos about this game!
Phobic Tribe I modded it myself worth 10/10
Homophobic tribe? jk
Phobic Tribe impressive you have a stable channel you got a sub
His channel is the first one I've seen that does bioshock remastered gameplay, I definitely subbed
hunter of strength Thank you very much! :D
I still haven't played them cuz I'm in Europe... -_-
Few more days of painfully seeing wall of these let's plays that I cant watch...
Milan Čulić Im from Europe too , when does it comes out
Nice Memes on 23th.
I feel u, bro :(
Nice Memes 22 nd November
Milan Čulić just a few more days bro. And it'll be all worth it!
Like chocolate cake! :D
The new Pokemon Sun & Moon games are shit imo. Here's why:
1) Many features of previous Pokemon games were dropped.
2) There's no 3d - the main thing that makes the 3ds even noteworthy. As someone who always uses the 3d on the 3DS, I was incredibly disappointed when I found out there was none. (There is some 3d in the PokeFinder, but that shit is worthless.)
3) You can no longer sit on fucking chairs.
Oh yeah, and the game is easy as fuck. Even easier than gen 6. Didn't even feel a sense of challenge.
░KenLinx░ you prob have the exp share on.
1:....so?
Just stop bitching.
no offence m8..... you can get moo moo milk and lemonaid from the plaza place if you get the right store ya dumb
earlier today i purchased a copy of Pokémon moon for 3Ds, but when I loaded the game up there was a save file with 82 hours that had legendary Pokémon’s and a shiny solgaleo Pokémon. I did some research and realised that if I deleted the save file and started a new one I won’t be able to get it back since it was a code from a event. I just want to play the game but there is nothing to do on this save file since the game is completed. I don’t know what to do.
Update - I might just delete the save file I don’t mine that much
THE BEST REVIEW AS OF NOW DANG! U NAILED IT MAN.
and ive been playing Pokemon since the 1st release up to now Gen 7. great review man.
What's next? pokemon peanut butter and jelly?
Abdelkader Bennaoum Pokémon cookies & cream
Abdelkader Bennaoum Pokemon Dawn and Pokemon Dusk
American White and African Black (Gen 5 Remakes)
pOKEMON sTAR the third version of sun and moon
Pokemon Tentacles and Pixels
Shae you picked torchic over treeco? I can understand that maganium is not that appealing but a chicken over a ninja?
Hitler is actually a cat eh, I picked a chiken over a mud monster and a gecko :] I never really liked Sceptile too much, but his mega changed that tho :p
blaziken is a chicken ninja and decidueye is disappointing
The totem Pokémon in the 3rd trial screwed me over so many times lol
Happy we have challenging Pokémon games again
No Serperior? No greninja?
The additions were certainly fun in my book
sonicfan11o9[Lord Cornz the Lord of Corn] Omg Lurantis was a pain. I am currently trying to defeat Mimikyu
sonicfan11o9[Lord Cornz the Lord of Corn] I personally thought leaf green was harder.
This game, blew my expectations away.
sonicfan11o9[Lord Cornz the Lord of Corn] How's the music in Sun and Moon? Personally I haven't been too fond of the past games' music.
TopHatLucario There are alot of good tracks imo.The credits theme and champion battle theme are epic.I loved the UB song.Same with Gladion's battle theme.Everything related to team skull in music is very good. And I personally like the Red&Blue remixes
I miss gym leaders.
Brock I miss you
Darxis we all do
I don't even think I do, I feel having gym leaders wouldn't fit the theme of he alola region
i dig the trials
Joe Mccary same, its actually so challenging and fun to do! Im still at olivia's grand trial
Daniel Despres Well it is possible to EV train using the sos system
but super training was fast and convenient
Sorry Jake, but I *DISAGREE* with you. This game, in terms of story, "island trials", battle music and designs is unfortunately, one of the *WORST* Pokémon games I've ever played. Let me say it this way, from top favorite to least favorite games in order:
1. Pokémon Diamond --> Gen 4.
2. Pokémon HeartGold --> Gen 2.
3. Pokémon FireRed --> Gen 1.
4. Pokémon X/Y --> Gen 6.
5. Pokémon Emerald/AlphaSapphire --> Gen 3.
6. Pokémon Black2 --> Gen 5.
*7. Pokémon Sun --> Gen 7.*
8. Pokémon Black --> Gen 5.
Nameless Pacifist If you can't respect "different" opinions, then you need to BUZZ OFF from this comment thread. - _ -
Baby ko Chinito Speak for yourself. What you said ironically enough is what I'm gonna say right back at ya. *It's just MY OPINION if you don't like it then don't ramble about it.*
Now BUZZ OFF and go cry somewhere else if you can't respect opinions that are "opposite/different" than yours. - _ -
It's weird how I'm getting into Pokémon again.
Nah mate, I was playing Pokemon Crystal aged 2 months on my Game Boy Colour... ;-)
you know thats impossible right
Simon Crossey what's impossible?
KingMaru it wasn't called omega Ruby back in the day, just ruby
That’s actually pretty much my case with S and M’s release haha, but now there is a new one and I’m going to buy it just because I know it’s the last Pokémon game I’ll ever play.
To me, sun and moon are some of the best Pokemon games, with explorers of time, Sky and darkness
Except Sun/Moon don't become incredibly dull late in the game like the Explorers games.
Unshaved Malevolence best story hands down
Chau Jia Hao That's pretty easy to agree with.
Pokemon Sun and Moon finally have potential to be the best Pokemon game of all time.
But the Pokemon starters from Sun and Moon are fugly af
Moon Door I actually like them.
LLT I think the other generations had a better design on the starters...
Moon Door Yes, I agree, but the more I look at them the more I get attached.
as someone who has played nearly every pokemon game, im confused as to why people are saying this Gen is difficult.. i didnt stop to grind one time and beat the league with all low 50s and only used like 3 revives to do so. ive also been watching someone else use nothing but incineroar and doesnt struggle so far through AF. its honestly just as easy as X and Y was.
Thanks for not including any spoilers! Really appreciate it!!!
as someone who was done with pokemon after black and white, I gotta sub and moon pulled me back in
yea I'm thinking the same thing honestly, it's just down to whether or not I should get a 3ds to get back into it all.
higglyjuff just wait for pokemon star on the switch if it is too much trouble to get a 3ds
i stopped playing after gen 3. as a kid who grew up with gen 1,2,3 i hated anything after 3. plus nintendo games suck except pokemon and i wasnt willing to buy a ds just for one series. i finally did when oras came out, and i am so glad that i did. but moon is disapointing. i will probably finish it and go back to y and as
Justin "nintendo games suck". I'm not a nintendo fan boy, but Jesus man you must be an even bigger hipster than I am! also how the fuck is moon disappointing? it's a new pokemon game, it's an update of the older ones! but whatever your opinions are your opinions, I doubt we'll ever cross paths again so I can't give too much of a shit
i havent found them fun since snes, but of course smash bros is a blast
Every game (except remakes, restarts and Black 2) since Emerald I've chosen the Water starter. I may break that tradition when I get Moon because Poplio is awful.
Dippin' Dots I always pick water type as well
I just never got the feel for water types. I only ever chose the water type in pearl, because of the poor choices. speaking of, who thinks the other gen 7 game is going to be a remake of diamond and pearl
Dippin' Dots popplio is the best to pick because primarinas z move is the strongest and gets stab on hydro pump and sparkling aria
Rowlet will be the first time i'll use a Grass starter for the very first time venturing through a region. I always pick water or fire
Osmosis Wright I have never not chosen a grass starter and venusaur is me baby
Pokemon Sun and Moon are my favorite games lol
@Taylor Swift cardigan thanks
Hey Jake, how are you today?
lawfulneptune14 why you gotta be rude?
+bee chang I have more likes than u so fuk off
this is only useful for people in Europe like me since it comes out on the 22th
23rd* I'm sorry.
if, then you must say 22nd
23 for me..................... ;-;
I hate England
Daniel Philpott 23rd in the uk 💕
Viridius Greene damn the last time i used items was in gen 4
Luke Turley I have to actually *plan* and *strategize* before each battle. A crazy concept!
Viridius Greene i remember stocking up on like 12 x defense when going against totem Lurantis, i have never had to use those before
Im going to bed and when i wake up i better have a like
SO we can call this POKEMON S&M right?
i don't know how i feel about this.
You guys are in my top 5 fav RUclips channels. I really appreciate your videos. :)
i bought 2 nintendo 2ds just to play sun & moon with my gf :D will be awesome (we're old school gen 1 freaks)
Nice! Sounds like fun ☺
I don't like the whole Z-power thing. It's too similar to mega evolution but so much worse. I think the design of the new Pokemon are better than the gen 6 ones. The intro was way too long and I miss the gym battles ;-;
Also Z Moves is not limited to selected Pokemon only
I understand both your points for Z-Moves over mega evolution, but I guess I just don't like how long they take to perform. If I could skip them that would make things much nicer
Airborne Cthulhu There is an option to turn the battle animations off so the z moves don't take as long to perform
Animal101 Oh cool, I'll do that
teem scull is two edjy
Teh Submarine yese
Not as edgy as the Edge Lord himself, Reaper from Overwatch.
+Kevin Young (Lord Keillas) reaper probably designed team skull's clothes
But team skull doesn't wear clothes, they're just three pokemon from the second game of the spin off series Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.
I getting the NX, Switch I mean, so I'll wait and get Pokemon Star.
TheodoreMauros why
I think it'll be called eclipse. NO WAIT ITS LIKE B2 AND W2!!!
Lunar Eclipse and Solar Eclipse
TheodoreMauros ok so how the game ended, stars is likely a complete sequel. I'd probably play the actual game because stars has so much room for story continuation
Theodore Mauros Well, no pokemon stars
I wish I had a 3DS...
RyuBeastGaming That is probably for the best. People end up in hospitals in critial condition because someone beat them up for something stupid like a Elsa Babrie toy. 😅😑
I wish the 3DS’ at my pawnshops were cheaper.
@@cesarvictoriano8072 get a 2 ds you can get one brand new from walmart with pkm sun or moon for like 100 bucks witch is a pretty good deal.
I don't even have a 3DS
get one
Sparxo 2ds' are only $80 with mario kart 7
+PurpleCircle can we play pokemon sun in 2ds?i want to buy it, but too afraid if it will laggy or not...
Wisnu Zhang of course you can play every 3ds title on the 2ds .
the 2ds its the 3ds with out the 3d + pokémon sun and moon dont have 3d
+Filipe pinto i see...thanks alot for your info, i am still thinking should i buy 2ds or wait for nintendo switch..i think if i buy new 3ds i will regret it if nintendo switch come out, because i think the price will be not have much gap, if i buy 2ds i can pass nintendo switch with easy feeling, cause the price has high gap...for 2ds : about $120, for new 3ds(not XL) : about $217...
Is it bad if I want this game in 2020?
No lol
No
@@Brendenlmack if No then how to play it ?
you seem to forget the lag
eeftankian Dosent always happen,he's playing on a New 3ds which can run the game perfectly fine with no lag
Daniél Pinto Gouveia Well then idk,ive seen other people, mainly youtubers who play on a New 3ds and while recording they dont drop frames
lt really only lags when in double battles with some bigger pokemon or with Solgaleo and Lunala in Pokemon Refresh on the N3DSXL.
I'm not getting it until Christmas😭
Ultra Moon and Sun is better
my starter is rowlet
mainly for the final evaluation
logan blackwell Ah yes, the final evaluation. "Rowlet, have a seat it's time for your performance review. I have some bad news about that promotion."
you chose right
Wait.. There's loading screens in between each section?? BOOOOOOOOOOOOO
King Booooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Bosley8000 yes I hate loading screens so much
Just wait until the Switch version comes out ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Like second long loading screens
Bosley8000 Well there were you just weren't aware of it. In the older games route gates doubled as loading screens
Gameranx will forever be where I go to look if I'm buying a game or not. Can't wait to pick sun up
As a Hawaii local, may i say that it is not overly "Hawaiian", but overly "touristy".
Still no dating aspect....... I am sad now ):
Alexane Rose *cough* daycare *cough*
Alexane Rose Why the fuck would there be a dating aspect? Kids play this, too. I hope your comment was bait.
play Fire Emblem
THANK GOD!!
Alexane Rose Persona 4, or wait for persona 5 next year
AC ezio collection b4 you buy
Sun is good.... but G/S/C is better 😏
the last thing I would call sun and moon is challenging especialy if you pick rowlet let me explain..... lvl rowlet and only rowlet then he can double razor leaf the first totem pokemon and peck the kahuna he can razor leaf the fish totem pokemon ez and get a wishiwashi to one shot the lizard totem pokemon and any pokemon with a fire type move to one shot all the grass types and then grass or water type to kill the rock type kahuna and yup that's half the game done ez in a day
I've been playing Pokémon since Red and Blue.
They need to make a Gen 1 Gen 2 Pokémon remake
What are you fucking stupid ? They already did.
Flamevortex3000 I assume he is dumb
I knew what you meant 6th. And now they will with Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu, and Let's Go Eevee. They're basically gorgeous versions of a
gen one pokemon yellow, with slightly different game mechanics
Pls gamefreak get rid of Pokémon calling for help, so annoying
I know it's annoying but i still feel sad when one calls for help and no help comes.
Partial Crudity dude its the way to shiny chain in this region
True fuck that feature
I thought black 2 was hard lol
ngunlian hup That game had the most post game content out of any Pokémon game
I gave up Pokémon Y's post-game, I thought that the Looker mission took way too long...
hyperXbeat - Gaming Videos way to long
ngunlian hup diamond is the hardest to me
I've only put an hour of gameplay into sun so far but I do like It, I can't say I'm a big fan of all the dialogue especially at the beginning but I do like this game, my starter Pokémon was rowlet this year, I always switch between fire water and grass each year
I played the original Pokemon back in the 90's, and then basically never touched the series again until Pokemon Sun.
"Overly Hawaiian" lol
can you remove your hat?
Dharc tes
yes
Finally cuz in XY you couldnt xD
Hiro Animation My life is now complete
I always watch your "before you buy" videos. It always helps me when choosing a video game. Thank you!
picking it up on Thursday after not owning a Nintendo handheld since the original games were out. excited to see how far the game has come. my kids are Pokemon fans as well, and I'm getting my oldest one of the two games for Christmas, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to enjoy something with him.
thinking I'll go with Rowlet as my starter. like the speed stat at 3rd evolution, as well as it's type
