Diablo starts with you already fighting Demons so it's ending is no surprise. PoE is like Act1: help our small outcast camp survive by getting medicine. Act 10: create maps to other worlds so you can invade them and kill their Gods
And with this video, you've completed a massive long term project that was almost a year in the making. Congrats Noodle, I'm so proud of you! I can't wait to see what comes next.

As a long time hardcore player it drives me nuts when I see you reading ingame text while there are still enemies attacking you :)

I just watched the entire serie and it blew my mind how much work you have put into it.
Thank you so much for your work, i am a new player and i have to be honest, i rushed into the acts without really read or understand the story behind all acts. But it left me a bit frustrated not knowing what i was doing.
You did an amazing job and it was a pleasure to discover the lore of PoE through your videos. You deserve a lot of praise and recognition for all the work you have done and here is mine.

Nice job on compiling all the lore in this series. I think what surprises me the most is how many people have stated they never bothered reading or listening to the lore. I've been playing since Closed Beta in 2012 and read everything I could. There have actually been a number of changes. For instance, Maligaro and Raulo (aka, Fidelitus) were originally lovers in cannon. It's a pity GGG changed it (most likely to please TenCent). Speaking of cannons, I loved the "pants cannon" remark.
That's interesting! I definitely saw remnants that Raulo and Maligaro were lovers but it does seem like they made it that Raulo just "admired" Maligaro which is less interesting. And thanks! That dialogue from Lilly might be my favorite in the game. She is awesome
So far we have seen Innocence corrupt a rebel into a tyrant and kill a hero to ressurect himself, while Sin had us kill his wife and daughter once they could no longer be subdued any other way
Having this on as a "Podcast" while playing through the acts for the second time ever! This is amazing, and you make the story easy to follow. Thank you for making this! :D
Thank you for making this series! Understanding, or rather getting access to the lore behind the game is difficult. Hell, there is barely any info on the WIki page. Great job so far!
I'm going to go back and start with the first one! Just found your channel, I love Path of Exile! It's my true Diablo 3 close to my heart haha.
Having watched the videos of all the acts I have to say it's impressive how little I knew despite having played through the acts countless times.
But these videos are probably way better for getting an understanding of the lore anyway!
This series is excellent for a new and casual player. I get to see what happens without finishing the game. Thank you.

hoooly crap. I never realized that the Teardrop quest was basically an homage to the Cthulhu mythos...a mysterious sunken city with a slumbering deity..lol even the writing style of the flavor text on the teardrop is the same as the language of the "deep ones". So cool!! POE/Lovecraft crossover when?

Arn't We Player exiles the true form of kitava though? We go mindlessly forward looking for the next thing to feed us dopamine regardless of what the consequences are, until we grow tired and fall asleep for "Eternity" (months until the new leauge :D) and than we start again.

You could add (in the description or somewhere else) a note that the endgame lore was retconned in the current Atlas iteration
Was it? Venarius -> Shaper & Elder (3.2 - 3.8) -> Zana and Co banished Elder (since 3.9). It's not retcon, it's a sequel.

So I jsut started Poe this MAy and now watched this Series. What did happen to that last part in Act 10? Did it get replaced by the Story on the Karui shore or do we still get to see that ingame somehow?
We are in different timeline one before. The timeline we are in right now is never met her we went with lily to explorer.

I've heard rumor that she is the "mother of two" of Innocence and Sin. I can't find any solid info to back this up, but I'm curious as well!

Thank you for the entire story. After hearing it i don't want to touch PoE 2. The writing is just not good enough. I rather prefer the works of David Gaider (Dragon Age: Origins)
