Be sure to read our article on the subject for more in-depth information on specialty tools: support.common-motor.com/hc/e...
If you are coming from our Essential Basics Specialty Tools video, then that means you are ready to dive into more in-depth repairs. The sky is the limit when it comes to advanced tools. Files, paint supplies, and sandpaper could fall into this category. So could a motorcycle lift, a compression tester, or a soldering iron. Between these items notice the trend to either be incredibly good at one task or save a metric ton of time.
There are too many tools that are great to have when working on vintage motorcycles so we tried to keep this video limited to tools we find ourselves using all the time and tools we think really help make certain jobs easier on a vintage Honda motorcycle.
The specialty tools we cover in this advanced video are:
Thread chasers, thread insert repair tools, threaded coil insert repair tools, Honda rotor puller, oil filter nut socket, front and rear wheel bearing retainer tool, wire strippers, bullet connector crimper, multimeter, chain breaker, and chain press tool, caliper, micrometer, snap gauges, small hole gauges, dial bore gauge, valve spring compressor, cylinder hone.
    Be sure to watch throughout the video to see the tools you will want to pick up for your Honda CB350, CL350, SL350, CB360, CL360, CJ360, CB175, CL175, SL175, CB200, CL200, CB450, CL450, CB500T, CB500K, CB550, CB750, CB350F, CB400F, CT90 and why.

I would buy the correct tool even if it is expensive instead of paying the mechanic. Great video.

I've bought the wheel bearing retainer removers, the oil slinger removal tool, and the rotor puller. High quality stuff and saved a hell of a lot of time.
