We have a rule we like to follow when it comes to specialty tools. If you need to borrow it more than once, you probably need to buy the tool. Take it as an indication that you are doing this work so having that tool on hand is going to make the job easier and save you time.
When it comes to specialty tools for a vintage Honda or any Japanese motorcycle, we like to group them into 2 categories: Essential Basics and Advanced. Essential basics are tools that you need to properly maintain the motorcycle you own. You will need these to perform the basic service intervals, change the oil, clean the oil filter, and other similar tasks. If your motorcycle isn't running, these are likely needed to get it running.
Specialty tools we would consider essential basics are:
A torque wrench, carburetor float height gauge, feeler gauges, spark plug gap tool, spark plug socket, impact driver, CB175 / CB200 valve adjustment wrench, test light, JIS screwdrivers, snap ring pliers, carburetor synchronization kit, graduated cylinder, spoke wrench, tire levers, tire tamer, bead holder, valve stem removal tool, and valve stem fisher tool.

If you've ever wondered what the dot punch mark on some screw heads is for. It signifies JIS.
Are you guys ever going to go back and revisit that busted CB550 engine you said you were going to do a full rebuild of back in 2020? I just bought my first CB550 and it needs some work. Would be really cool series to watch if you made it!
some neat new tools for us old-timers . I have progressively been throwing out my old phillips drivers and replacing them with the JIS drivers or the new European standard drivers that all work better on not only the vintage Japanese bikes, but on all new models, and also work equally well or better on the phillips-head screws .

Thanks. I'm making me a travel tool box as I intend to just travel to vintage Honda/bike events soon and that will be in my enclosed trailer I just bought. Goin to make a small work shop for my bike with extra parts, tools, tires, tubes, 12 v air compressor...so on. I have 90% of this set you showed but I'm ordering the ones I don't have like the copression gauge..tools. Also I have two large torque wrenches but think I'll get your small one to travel with in my trailer. Can't wait for part two. Thanks

Vessel Makes the "Impacta" screwdrivers that are both JIS and Impact. I bought a set and have yet to find a side cover screw that did not come out like it should. Why did I wait so long.
I got them too, but i find the rebound spring way too stiff. My impact screw driver is softer. With the Vessel i always fear damaging the case or cover from striking so hard... but i love them as regular screwdrivers.
