The part of the song where Mike Kinsella wistfully sings, "Just the thought of being seen...is more than I can take. I never met a mirror that I couldn't break." Very relatable. Being seen is a way I feel deeply loved, but also being seen (for both my good and bad) is scary!! The self-sabotage of fighting against someone who is trying to hold space for me sometimes is real. Ohhh conflicts with intimacy XD
Love American Football but man this is so dang sad. If you not careful the words and rifts and draw you in like the ocean. Songs like this to me are starting to feel dangerous for me to listen to.
