    I joined the channel after watching the video with Lightweight E46, great job not only with the car but also with editing the video. After seeing the video, I decided that my 330ci would also undergo a slimming cure. I can't wait to see the rest of the e46s. Greetings from Poland, I leave a comment to increase your youtube reach!

    Yes, ride the algorithm wave you guys are getting! Well deserved. I do mostly off-road content but recently picked up a phoenix yellow e46 M3 so I'm loving all this experimentation and expertise with the platform.

    For these Lemforder bushings - you can also put them in upper slots and replace polibushes - it's a common upgrade for e36 and e46. It works way better there than poli-ones.

    • @ratdognuno
      @ratdognuno 3 дня назад +1

      We have done so my friend. Infact they come standard on the top. It’s the bottom on a 46 that is rubber from factory so it’s a common mod to change. I fitted poly many years ago due to them being sat around. Changed this time round. 👌🏼

    • @TqmmPl
      @TqmmPl 3 дня назад +1

      @@ratdognuno ah right - wasn't visible on material, so I was thinking there were poli-bushes, which just would be just next problem. I guess - better to look as a "worried fool" in comments, than wait for next video "we replaced another bushings" :D

    The inner uniball on the top trailing arm (were the spring goes) is often kept standard. This has to do with coilover setup. Normally the spring pressure keeps the arm horizontal. But without the spring keeping the arm level the stabilizer bar pushes the arm in a weird direction when it comes under tension. Just a tip..

      @RatDog  2 дня назад +1

      Don’t just give me the tip..I want the whole length. I don’t run a rear sway bar…and I also run my own custom length damper body and rod. As we say often, please don’t copy anything we do on this channel lol.
      ps I am aware the inner bush is usually kept stock. 😊

      @@ratdognuno legend. Great build and hats off for showing the ‘tricks’ to get it working properly👏🏻 The people saying that aftermarket controllers are great and the way to go… never drove the original combo imo. @@rickmanders3315100% my friend. We spent 5 years on the v10 DCT and I simply don’t care what anyone says, these aftermarket TCU and ECU’s simply do not compare to OEM calibrations and driveability. We often don’t even need to see these cars running, we can hear clutch slip and hang from 5 miles away and most people don’t even realise it’s happening.

    You could avoid all that ABS speed sensors issues with running an aftermarket ECU such as a MaxxECU, which can control both the s65 AND the BMW DCT. Then you can use the e46 mk60 ABS system and all the standard e46 bits.

    Is the E46 chassis really that much better for track to undergo the hassle of putting an s65 into the E46 chassis. Surely the E92 platform with some weight reduction would be good enough and so much less hassle.
