Thanks for the demo. They'll ne even louder on my CTX700n which ctuises ayt 4500 TPM doing 75. Now I know the same ones in black (no chrome on my ride) will sound great!
Oh, and sweet ride, man!
I appreciated that my brother helped me out
Installed these on my Vulcan 800 with straight pipes. They actually sound great! Very simple to install just takes a little time. FYI there are 2 versions out..... one doesn't have the fused power wire included. This is the second version
Ahh didn't know there were two versions. Yeah i like these little guys!
@@Garage-wt5jl yeah I'm happy.... plus they have a free warranty
Can you answer your phone on the speakers ?
@@michaelb.42112 I believe so, it works like any wireless speaker.... I can't remember exactly though, haven’t been on my bike in a while.
That Vulcan is SICK !!!! I love those bikes so much.
Thank you! !
I literally watched this and made my decision to get them. And I just subscribed. Keep up the good work. I'm in North west Georgia.
Eyyye! Thanks a lot! North West GA has some good mountains!
Did you like them?
@@TrafficTravelDelight They aren't bad but after having them for over a year I'm ready to upgrade. Can't hear them over high winds.
@@Garage-wt5jl thanks for the response
@@Garage-wt5jl I don't understand when people state they can't hear them over a certain speed. I can hear mine at 80 mph out on the interstate. Maybe some don't have their speakers pointed directly at them while riding? Or the don't have a windshield or fairing to block some of the wind? All I do know is mine are plenty loud (and I have tenitus in both ears from the military so I can't hear so good to begin with.
Damn good video bro that's how a review is done!!! Yup gonna go get me a pair now for my sportster
Thanks yo. Turns out that they aren't that audible under high winds. So keep that in mind
I bought the speakers on sale online for like $64 I was a little worried until I saw your video now not calling Best Buy have my appointment to have them put in my own thank you very much for your video by the way give Roxy a little treat for us she's cute
Roxy is here at my feed eating chicken nuggets. She's so spoiled. LOL
Good job, just brought my today. Thanks
How do you like yours?
I just got mine today I haven’t opened them. Going to install tomorrow thank you.
Motorcycle sounds nice man
Great job on the review….. thanks
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much
no problem
Great video man ! Thanks
My only problem with the boss motorcycle speaker systems is 1)I know the power is bullshit...just tell me the true power!!! And 2) they have SOOOOO MANY models with no real details on what makes them so different...for example they have like 4 1000w models, 2 with 2 speakers and 2 with 4 speakers...and other than radio/bluetooth idk why they need so many models all with different prices. 1 4 speaker set is 139 and the other is 179 and idk what the difference is other than one having a built in amp and the other having a separate amp.
Sounds good bro.
I had these and I do not recommend them at all for loud bikes. Also, my regulator in my bike went and took out the amp. The fuse did not protect it from over voltage. It actually did me a favor. I would give them a 1 star rating.
Having owned Harley’s I doubt it was the amp
Thanks.... nice work !!
Nice.
Put the 4 speaker system on my bike which is the same as yours and the bottom two on the crash bars are useless kind of. But still sounds good for the money. I like em. But my bike is straight pipes and can’t hear very well till I get to that last gear 😂
Awesome video man! Do you have a vid of the bike install?
Sorry I dont. It was a super easy install though
Georgia REPRESENT!
GA baby!!
It’s the wind noise that knocks the sound mostly
Very true! I've recently upgraded to a batwing fairing with speakers built in.
Posted a video on those too
If thats not loud enough you can always use a music booster from your app store
I'll have to look into that
My right speaker became loose, is there a way I can tighten it up? I’m having problems
Interesting. Mine are still nice and tight. I guess it depends on where they came loose at. Maybe its something that can be rigged up.
I had a pair of these speakers (with the 600 watt amp external) and it burnt up the "stator" on my 1999 883 Sportster. (be warned)
It would be way louder with the 4 speakers ?? Or almost same thing
dang yo I didn't even think about just buying a second system. You're right!!
@@Garage-wt5jl I think he is referring to the set that comes with 4 speakers already...not 2 separate sets. He is asking of you believe the 4 speaker system would be louder than the 2 speaker system.
@@thomasnelson213 Ohhh I think i'd LOVE the 4 speaker version.
sorry but i dont' see the ampli, are these without ampli to install? tks
it has a small internal Amp
Does it have a aux
naw. just Bluetooth
Is there a way to add more speakers to this
from what I can tell this system is NOT expandable. I was able to pair my Samsung NOTE 20 Ultra to two separate units as a test. One to my bike and one to a friend's. Still nothing I'd do for real for real
@@Garage-wt5jl thank u I had similar unit years ago and there was a "y" plug you add two more speakers
@@TheXant718 Totally did not know that. Geez. I would have probably kept them if I knew I could just expand the system. F*uck! lol
@@Garage-wt5jl they look like rca cable style setup just not sure if this unit is the same but worth a shot lol
Do these have regulat speaker wire? Can I just connect them to the amp I already installed to my head unit
They have regular speaker wire with a small enternal amp. I'm not sure how much power they can take so you may run the risk of blowing them 🤷🏿♂️
If you already have an amp...u may consider upgrading the speakers inside of the housing. I'm sure they are generic parts bin speakers. If you swap them for high output speakers the right size you will def. Hear it at highway speeds
Did yours come with the on off switch? Mine did not. Will it drain the battery if i dont have 1?
yep mine has a switch. Maybe yours is made to turn of and on with the bike (which I'd prefer actually)
I just purchased these (same version) with the on/off switch included.. for my Harley Iron 883 and im nervous because i didn't know if i still needed an extra toggle switch.. and im not going through any wires.. hows your battery holding up?
I haven't had a problem at all with it draining my battery . I think that it even has an auto shut off because I've forgotten to turn it off a couple of times and noticed that it was off when I got back on.
Yo you tryin hard to hear the music thru your bikes loud sound but I think it wont cut it for your ride, need somethin more powerful your exhaust drowns out the sound , kool vid thou, thanks!👍
agreed. Got rid of these pretty fast. Upgraded to a batwing with 4 speakers. adding more this spring

How do you like em after the install? Good sound on the highway?
The sound on the highway really depends on if you're wearing a full helmet or a half helmet. Wind noise at 75+ mph is seriously tough to contend with but they do pretty well at that speed with a half shell.
Auto level on your cam messed it up
Dang. I didn't even think about that.
Also how long did it take you to install and which tools will you need?
It was very easy. Maybe 30mins. I really didn't time it. Just knocked it out while listening to music you know. Think I just used a couple of wrenches lol. The hardest part was using the thick rubber gripping that they supplied to hold the speakers in place. I used vice grips.
Where can i buy the inline switch from
that I'm not sure of. Sorry. I do know that it's a simple toggle switch so if yours is damaged you can grab a toggle switch from Walmart, Amazon, autozone, etc
I want these, can you tell me how to wire them?
Sorry for the delay. I'm sure you have them wired by now. they are pretty easy. Only two wires. One (red) to the positive terminal on your bike and one (black) to the negative. I ran the wires under the gas tank and right to the battery.
@@Garage-wt5jl you ran the wires straight to the battery? wouldn't that drain it when the bike is off? I have the same speakers but the box it came in was different. Havent installed them yet
@@maxcruz9154 the speakers I have have an off/on switch 😎
@@maxcruz9154 you can just splice into whatever switch wire you have. I just have a wire I installed off of my rear lights and now I can just hook whatever into that.
So after having them on your bike for a while now, would you still recommend them? My wife has 2002 Suzuki VL800 Intruder and is thinking she would like these on her bike
it really depends on what you want and your/her riding plans. If she's going to he highway traveling then I'd say a big NO. If she's going to do more localized Street riding then they aren't bad, especially for $70. I've outgrown mine and now have a batwing set up with with 4 5.25" speakers. I want more lol.
I have a review of the batwing set up also.
@@Garage-wt5jl thanks for an honest opinion. She has pretty much made up her mind she wants them. We don't do to much highway riding mainly backroads
@@Garage-wt5jl just an FYI I have the Aquatics AV with the Hogtunes amp and 8 speakers on my 2006 Harley-davidson Ultra Classic and I love it.
@@mikestevens146 I'll be adding an amp and a king touring pack with speakers one day.
Is this loud enough on highway
Not really. I mean you'll hear it but you won't FEEL it
@@Garage-wt5jl what’s max speed still be able to hear it
@@Soulriderpowder you'll get drowned out by wind and engine sounds around 70
@@Garage-wt5jl it’s pretty loud right
