    Man I love TJs and that's a clean TJ

      It’s super clean. It’s a 2002 Sahara. It’s got the 4.0 and a 5 speed in it. It’s really nice. And that’s exactly why he is keeping it and selling the jku.

      @@WarPaintOffroad I don't blame him 1 bit. I'll NEVER sell mine. I have an 02 Sport. IMO the TJ is king of Jeeps.

      Thanks for the support! I’ll be working and filming tomorrow! Next week’s video might not be out on Tuesday…I have family visiting. But it will be out next week and will be pretty good.

    I like the shade you threw at yourself by saying “keep things you don’t want crushed away from the axle” lol get better soon man!

      Thanks! I’ll talk more about all that in next week’s video. I can’t believe that happened.

    Good stuff. Love seeing the TJ stuff. I'm just finishing a little build (touch up) to my Dad's "everyday" TJ. Love the old jeeps.

      Awesome! Well you’ll love the YJ build on starting next spring. I’ll be ton swapping it, doing a front half and a back half kit, maybe a motor swap, a cage, and all with my 9 and 11 year old. It’s going to be a jeep they can wheel. Should be fun.

    What’s cool about TJs is the gas tank is already way in the back. So setting up a badass suspension isn’t as difficult as it is in a JKU. I’d love to triangulate the rear of my JKU to get rid of that track bar and not have flex steer, but the whole gas tank and evap thing is such a pain in the ass!!! And then putting outboard coilovers on a JKU without tons is nearly impossible due to width. So annoying lol

    • @WarPaintOffroad
      @WarPaintOffroad  Год назад +1

      Yea…a nice 3 link is pretty easy in the jku. That is what I have in mine. But in this TJ the fuel tank had to be moved too. That is because it was stretched 8 inches. So the fuel cell is in the tub just inside the tailgate. The nice thing about building a tj is the smaller body, lighter weight, and WAY less electronics!

      @StormbornJKU Год назад

      @@WarPaintOffroad yea I did the 3 link front and rear in mine as well. I’d just love to get a triangulated rear with outboard shocks / coilovers. It’s just so much more work in the JKU.

    You didn't mention track bar so I assume it's upper triangluated? but for most of us dropping an axle you'll need to disconnect track bar. thanks for the content!

      That’s is for the support! But yes, the rear of this rod was stretched a fair amount and set up with a triangulated 4 link rear. You can see it in different parts of the video. It wasn’t so much as a how to…but more of how I did it with this particular rig. Fun stuff. I’ll be doing a custom triangulated 4 link on the front and rear of the CJ build.

      They are from American Lifting Offroad. They aren’t cheap. But man they work so good. They are SOOOOOOOO tall. It’s perfect for the lifted stuff.
