Appreciate the shout out! Was fun to watch! Eldrazi is similar to prison you need a force and really strong turn 1 play otherwise you often do get run over.
One way to beat Dress Down is the double Oracle pile. They burn Dress Down on the first one, and then you win the turn after. They rarely if ever have two Dress Downs.
46:00 there is def a DD line. You can block with frog and easily untap and win... You would have DD in bin and 2 lands in hand. that's enough to give it flying to block. Your frog would likely survive and that is plus one devotion. All u have to do is cycle with EOA and play TO next turn
Tempo Doomsday is the easiest Doomsday, but a lot of the deck gets hit by all of the removal going around. I think Turbo Doomsday is the better Doomsday, but Tempo Doomsday is definitely more approachable and easier to learn.
Huge misplay is naming Merfolk with Cavern of Souls. Always name Wizard except when you're playing against Merfolk to assert dominance.

This is the sort of insight that I love seeing in the comments. Thanks for this, makes sense. I did try to do some double oracle piles here and there.

That leyline in game 2 of match one is the reason I don't like Murktide in the sideboard.
Ask not if Tempo Doomsday is the best Doomsday, ask whether Doomsday is the best Tempo.

At 16:06 you can daze your dark ritual to enable the fatal push. It’s a losing play but you could still have cleared the board
I’m so dumb you did that. Why didn’t I wait two seconds to comment
@@graydowns9731 I could have done it earlier I think. Also, no such thing as a "dumb comment" as long as it's in good faith and not mean spirited :)
Where can I find that sideboard guide and similar sideboard guides for different decks? It looked awesome!
@@romansky1720 if you follow the link to Michael Reeds twitter in the description you can find the guide and more

I'm not a Doomsday guy so don't know, but some good Doomsday players do seem to be shifting to Tempo builds over Turbo lists.
I dont think boarding out doomsday against eldrazi is the best choice here. Its pretty hard for dimir to beat eldrazi as their “tempo” seems stronger
I agree with that. The Doomsday plan is hard for them to interact with. Playing to the board is where Eldrazi is stronger.
I just followed the guide I had from someone who is many times better at Doomsday than I am.
Doomsday is just a bad deck.
