I bought this in vinyl when it dropped . I still have to this day and play it on a middle of the road technics turn table but driven by an old but still awesome Marantz 2238b amp/receiver, oh yeah .
The "Holland" version was also remixed for a single. I like hearing Al singing the lead on his own song in this version. I put all 3 versions in my Beach Boys covering and covered playlist. Thanks a lot for upload!
Is this the way it was played by The Beach Boys in concert, early seventies, thought I heard similar snippet on the news about the 1975 Wembley Stadium at the time,(Elton John headlined and struggled because the material he picked and being a suuny day ,Joe Walsh, The Eagles and The Beach Boys were hard acts to follow). Hoped to find more from that concert, maybe on a So Tough/ Holland CD/DVD box set🤞
I am not one to judge, but Alex ??? what's his last name? Well, whatever it is, he is not right for this. He is insincere and ... well, let's be kind and leave it at that. Shall we? The tune is quite brilliant and I have been frustrated to death to find another clip of just that. Not waiting for miracles, I simply start this at seconds: 1:38 and when I do that, I think I am in heaven. Al Jardine is quite, quite fine. Neil Young is transformational audio history in the making. Wow!
Al has a more mature voice than Mike Love. Mike's voice was for 45rpm singles of the 1960's. Al can also go on stage by himself for an hour and accompany himself singing and story telling.
Great album with Al,and in my opinion better then the new beach boys cd.Love the whole album.I'm waiting for the japan release, with an alt version on waves of love, and a bonus of an unreleased song.

I have a Marantz turntable. And years ago I had a Marantz tape deck that I loved. Thanks for watching. Cheers.

Holland the album that got many wayward Beach Boys’ fans back in the fold
always loved the song when i first picked up the holland LP back around 1972. Al still has the voice and Neil, stills and crosby are awsome
Pure joy of life !

Al has such a great voice, he was so under utilized in the Beach Boys....he should have song lead on a lot more songs than he did.!

Al Jardine and Neil Young would make the greatest songs ever
